I'm not totally clear on the question, you could use a start frame if you have a still of the character and video, but you won't be able to add a character to an existing video. It would also take a lot of credits to generate a character animation that could be added to video depending on the length of the clip, and you'd still need to composite that character into the video

I actually got a cool combination now to use for landscapes in realism style:

For any one curios: Design settings Cinematic and Hyperrealism and in Color: Strong Colors in Lighting: Golden Hour and in Camera Perspective: Landscapephoto did it for me (Sorry if some stuff isnt translated right as i use the german version but you should be able to find them i tried my best translating xd)

Any Tips on increasing the Detail sharpening? With the Setting above I get pretty pictures Not gonna lie but at some pics there are Parts where it Looks like it uses way less Quality than in the rest of the Picture. Should I add stuff like „high Resolution“ or „8k“ and stuff like that in my prompt or is there a specific Setting for that somewhere?

Hey I have the Version for 10,98€ a month. Now I was wondering how much Pictures I can generate with the 2.000 Tokens (with the Firefly Image 4 Ultra Model) as I tried testing around for a few times now and now I dont have credits anymore for the next 21days or so. I need to know as I can already see difference from the Default Model to the Ultra Model or is it just me. I just think the default model doesnt make that good pictures that i couldnt use them commercially

Firefly is not at all good at handling this kind of situation. Even FLUX Kontext Pro and Nano Banana don't do anything with an edit prompt on a quick test. What does work is to use Generative Fill with a simple prompt, "wings."

That was returned by Firefly Image 4.

To be clear, I ran this in Firefly Boards using the Generative Fill option in Edit, but it should work exactly the same in Firefly's Generative Fill module.

I've observed the same thing, many times. There are models out there like Imagen that love long, detailed prompts. Firefly, in my experience, has never done that well. Firefly model 3 and (to a lesser extent) 4 work better with image inputs and simple text. Probably avoid a composition reference image in Firefly 4 for the moment, but you can get amazing results if you sketch what you want and use it as a composition reference for Firefly 3.

Its not just training models. You don't train a model and then its all profit after that. GPUs are required to render the pixels. GPUs don't run on their own. There are arrays of GPUs in data centers. Also, you should probably keep in mind that software development, data centers, network connectivity and electricity are not free.

Then there is storage which is always getting cheaper but I'd assume Adobe is storing exabytes now.

For context, major tech companies like Google store several exabytes of data. While Adobe's total data volume is not identical to a search engine's, the magnitude of creative and analytics data must lean toward an exabyte-level operation.

Loss of Detail Discussion:
Any solution for maintaining accuracy for small details when starting with an existing image?
Use case: adding realistic lighting/materials to a large format screenshot of a 3d building model (8,000x4,000 for instance)
Current method: adding image to a Firefly Canvas -> edit with Gemini 2.5 (nano banana)->prompt: "Add realistic lighting, pavement, grass, sky, and small distant trees in the background."
Example of lost detail: building signage turns into jumbled letters, pavement striping turns into gravel, vertical precast concrete panel joints turn into gray stripes
Cause: downsampling before and after image generation

Using an ai upsampling program to increase resolution rarely works to get these details back.

I am mainly just dissatisfied with the resolution limitations. But this leads to jumbled text and various misinterpretations, almost like it can't interpret the text or linework even though it's clearly visible in the high res source image I upload. Some people have said "If you need a high res image, just upload the AI output image (usually something like 1024x1024 or 1250x800) into an AI image upscaling app"... however, this does not solve my problem since it just upscales jumbled text, making it more obvious.

If the source image has the text large enough, it does great. So it's not always a problem with the AI ability to recognize and recreate text. I think it's a downsampling prior to interpretation.

that is common when you have a lot of details, smaller details are going to get lost, especially text if there's a lot of copy. It's much easier to capture the facial features on a single portrait than get the facial details on an entire concert crowd.

I am meant to take screen shots from their own Youtube vids and use them in different ways, then submit to them the result.
Competition winner with get money as prize.

As long as you're using firefly's service you agree to adobe's terms, i believe that arif is suggesting you only use third party models not firefly, in which case you'd need to look into the terms for each of those services individually. Regardless, at the end of the day it is on you the user to not violate someone else's ip, and if you do and get sued, adobe, or anyone else for that matter whose service you're using, isn't going to protect you.

Placing an image is my go to in illustrator when it comes to fitting an image, but if you need to resize it completely you might want to hop into photoshop (you may use a jump link) . After you resize and save the change should go through and you'll receive a pop-up message in illustrator

hello i need some help i generally generate image of my furniture collection using free pik or gemini, i give my furniture image as reference and it generates exact same design with different generated background, how do i do that in firefly?

In text to image, enterprise accounts can place objects in a generated image, but individual plan accounts cannot. The best you can do using Firefly models is use reference images (structure and style) to generate a likeness, but it will not be the exact piece of furniture.

Another option is generative fill. If you have the furniture in an image where it is facing the direction you want, you can take that image and use generative fill to change everything around the image.

Is it possible to keep the character's face "remembered" across different video scenes?

The AI is not going to recall anything about previous generation(s). You would create "start frames" with the same character for each video.

Another trick is to use the last frame of a video to extend the video. Sometimes that works. It depends on the motion trajectories in the first video.

It is fairly easy to create characters with consistent features, clothing, environments using the Gemini model.

I am writing to express significant disappointment and concern regarding two specific issues I have recently encountered while utilizing your Creative Cloud services, particularly those involving the use of generative credits.

1. Generative Credit Charge for Restoring Original Resolution

I am highly concerned that the system is currently charging generative credits to revert or restore an image to its original resolution after it has been processed by an AI feature (such as Generative Fill, Expand, etc.).

My original file resolution is data I already own and upload. A core principle of subscription services is that tools should manipulate existing assets without additional, hidden costs. Treating the restoration of a file's owned resolution as a premium, credit-consuming operation is contrary to user expectation and significantly devalues the generative credit system. I request an immediate review of this policy.

2. Subpar Quality in Model Partner Outputs

Secondly, I have observed that when using features powered by "model partners," the resulting quality is often subpar, particularly concerning edge detection and rendering. Specifically, I've seen noticeable artifacts and errors along edges of subjects and objects.

If users are being charged premium generative credits for the use of these advanced models, the output quality must be reliably professional. The current quality issues mean that I am paying credits for results that often require significant manual correction or are simply unusable. I urge you to implement stricter quality assurance controls for these charged features.

I am a dedicated customer, and these recent experiences have been extremely frustrating. I look forward to receiving clarification on the resolution/restoration credit policy and confirmation that action is being taken to improve the fidelity of the AI model partner outputs.

1. Uploaded image

2. clicked the edit image square that says "Edit an image - Use a text prompt to Edit"
   I don't want to use the text prompt to edit. I want to use the remove feature but can't figure out how to find it

3. I clicked the Edit Image square since I saw no selection for removing an image. It takes me to a page where it wants me to describe what I want to create or edit. I type in Remove Item, but again I don't see the Remove Button or a brush to paint the item I want to remove

I believe @flat sequoia is trying to say (and I understand that you don’t control Meta and that people are trying to be helpful with prompts) - so what they were trying to say is that some of the AI models are not friendly to some people. I would even say that some AI models default to a particular type of image. One of the first images I asked Adobe to do was an image of the Mexican Virgin of Guadalupe. I include below what it got me. Now, anyone, and I do mean anyone, who is personally familiar with the Mexican Virgin of Guadalupe image will tell you that she is a Brown Woman! But Firefly did not produce an authentic image. I had to specify I wanted a Brown image of the Virgin of Guadalupe and that was just weird, because she is known in Mexico and throughout the Americas as “La Morenita” i.e. the Brown Virgin

After having to alter my prompt I got a better image that is more accurate, but I challenge all of you to imagine that every single prompt you have to "edit" and "reword" because the engine assumes something that is not real, cause as I said above, the Virgin of Guadalupe is Brown representation of the Virgin Mary

So while I am not in the position to know how to fix AI to be more aware of the reality of lived experience, I do want to highlight that having to specify details in every single prompt, as some communities have to do, makes us seem not seen or as if we don't matter. And that is why @flat sequoia went for the Nuclear option of bringing in the Shoah (Holocaust) because again, why are some groups having to do more work to be seen than others?

Now, our friend is not using Firefly model, so he'd probably have to take this to other model feedback forums or alike.

But that it shows in all sorts of manners. AI tends to favor a specific type of experience because it is learning and being programmed by a majority of people with that experience. There are works of art in my culture that ignore the lived experiences of other folks (I am Hispanic mixed race person and the daughter of parents from different religious traditions: Catholic and Jewish, and boy do they do not get along) ; this is not a conspiracy, this is how the world was formed but we need to be aware of those biases (that most of us have encountered and at times, I can be humble enough to say, I have displayed myself and have tried to overcome).

I don't get where you think people are punished for talking, we do not allow people to post jobs here or advertise their services, it's not the place for it. The Adobe Creative Careers discord has a place for that and it has it's own rules that need to be followed, you can't just spam job postings here. No one has a problem with conversation, as long as it stays appropriate and follows the rules.

you're welcome to have inappropriate conversations via dm with your friends as well, no one here can stop you from that, but it's a public discord, there have to be rules, I'm sure no one wants to scroll through a ton of spam for the sake of the discord appearing active.

I am new here and i have a question maybe someone will be able to help me. I have generated in Firefly 5 different designs for t-shirts for sublimation but i didnt know becouse i am a beginer in this that the resolution i got was to low for sublimation. Additionally when i try to make higher resolution it works but not well and i am not able to convert it to curves in good ressolution. I like those designs very much and i wouldnt like to chnge them or make a new ones is there any chance to do something with it?

@minor frigate I guess you are talking about vector based files. Like in Adobe Illustrator. You would need to use that.

A Curved file is just a PDF file with all text outlined and saved as high quality for print.

I believe the upscale feature is under neural filters (effects from the top menu -> neural filters). I will check once I’m home.

From my testing a while back it seemed to work really well.

You're thinking of "Super Zoom" which is a Neural Filter. Now there is a Firefly Upscale feature in Photoshop as well. It was just pushed into the General Release.

I can't even figure out how to get past "Can’t access. Sorry, this feature isn't available." After signing up with a credit card and clicking the translation button. Have cleared cookies, have researched loads of forum posts saying the same thing with no resolution... Any recommendations?

Why are only 13 languages available for translation in firefly when the adobe docs say over 20?

I searched and it doesn't seem to say anywhere that you need an enterprise instead of pro account for access to the rest....

Where are you physically located? Translation is not available in all regions for legal reasons. If you are in the USA, what state are you in?

you can't buy an enterprise account as a one-off, its an account type for companies purchasing large quantities of licenses

Really dissappointed today using Adobe Firefly, the upscale in firefly or photoshop is not working, so frustrating trying to do professional designs for client and paying these high Adobe subscriptions, and so many things are not working! A simple upscale should be standard as we need it daily for all print work.

I used Firefly and produced from there. The package I bought said 2000 credits and 20 videos.

seems like you're potentially not logged into the correct account, you can check what plan you have in your account info, but we won't be able to troubleshoot account issues here, only the support folks can

because the app is trying to sign in using an embedded WebView (an in-app browser), which Google no longer allows

There is a regular sign in at the bottom of sign in pop up. I logged out of mine and logged in through google log in with no issues
