I checked my player-prev log and saw that it's kinda big about 800 kb big. is it safe to delete it?

yes, those are temporary files. they are also only needed for debugging.
Player.log gets written during the current session.
Player-prev.log is the old Player.log session copied to Player-prev.log

Everytime you start the game it regenerates those files. Although mine launches twice and generates both files at once.

[Steamworks.NET] Shutting down because RestartAppIfNecessary returned true. Steam will restart the application.

If Steam isn’t running, or if the game wasn’t launched through Steam, that call will close the game and relaunch it via Steam.
ah interesting, wonder if that's always been the case for my past games, i usually avoid launching from steam. now i cant recall if i ever had connection issues.

Solved my issue with a launch argument:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe" -applaunch 3419430

Hi, my Bongo Cat is not auto starting despite the setting being active.

Trying to change the setting from active to inactive then restarting the app results in the setting being reverted for whatever reason

reinstalling has not helped

this is good detail. sounds like its failing.
i manually made a startup executable another bug: and my setting always shows as "on" now even though i didnt create the startup via the setting.
could you hae a look at the logs: settings > show logs folder
to see if there are any related errors?

you would likely need to manually remove it from shell:startup also when you no longer want to auto-start, but thats pretty user friendly also

ah im also noticing some problems. in the past version i saw this tooltip from a friend, and mistakenly thought it was saying admin-mode is required for autostart, but thats not the case.
also didnt realize my friend is using admin mode.

also i just removed the shortcut from startup and my "autostart" setting still defaults to "on".
likewise toggling it off and on does absolutely nothing in the registry.

so theres a chance autostart setting is broken?

i figured it out:

• Bug: "Autostart" checkbox is not accurate, its always "on" after every app launch.
• Works: toggling "Autostart" does work, but you have to assume what state it is currently on. If its not autostarting already, just press it once, then it will auto start.

You can also verify that its autostarting using registry editor.
Windows key > Type "Registry Editor" > Navigate to "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run"
Press F5 to refresh.

I am not in a multiplayer lobby but have been getting the chest drops for the emotes. From my understanding I am only supposed to get the chests when in the lobby? I am also able to see and click on the emotes without being in the lobby...

im not sure how it works but i imagine its similar to the "tiers" of items. emojis are likely their own tier (not hats nor skins) and they can only be exchanged with other emojis. id have to test it though

Is there a specific percentage increase to the drop rate of event items? Or is it secret information for now while community feedback is collected and it undergoes a few more changes for future events? Mostly just curious

we roughly adjusted everything to be ~30% of the item pool

so if you get an item it's +- a few percent a 30% chance that it is an event item

Ahhh, so the overall chances for higher rarity items isn't increased... as in like, the likelihood of getting a random purple or gold event item drop

just more so guarantees trade-ups to be a bit more consistent for those who saved up

if you use the auto exchange, it will only exchange duplicates, but if you manually choose what you exchange, it will exchange whatever you put in, even if its your only one

you can also favorite things and it will never be used for an exchange no matter how many you have (provided you have the "exchange favorites" toggle unchecked in the settings)

i love the idea of multiplayer incensitives. but its a shame that it woudl punish those who prefer to be single or dont know how to connect with others. i wouldnt know how to balance it

off the top of my head: only idea i would have is to give a new skin to anyone that joins a multiplayer lobby for the first time. cant really think of any long term benefit without punishing others

you have the same chance at getting the event items as any other item

technically yes, but you would need to get a lot of the other items instead to exchange, (we use the word exchange not merge as you aren't merging them)

this has been reported a few times. I haven't been able to properly replicate the issue.
It appears to be temporary, which leads me to believe that you are temporarily disconnected or having network issues.
i wish I knew details, sorry. i'm just a player.

restarting the app will re-load the count if there's no issues on restart. i can only hope the count never gets overridden when there is issues.

if you would like to send the log file i can have a look to see if there is errors

Hi hi! I have a question about items. I got a Red Panda head item hoping I could send it to a friend, but when I open the Trade Offer window, I only see two of my items. Is there a rule about which items can be traded/gifted? Is there like a time that I have to wait before an item can be traded?

I don't know if you all know this yet, but if you use a ruler or a similar object to cover most of the keys on the keyboard, click on the cat, and then press down on the keyboard once with that object, it will add dozens of points depending on how many keys you manage to press.

This is a trick I discovered while messing around with my keyboard.

I heard that direct trading is not possible, but you can list it on the marketplace and the other player can buy it.

If you sell it cheaper than the market rate, your item will show up first.

But if someone snags it first, tough luck
