If you open the taskbar by simply hovering the mouse over it, then everything is OK. But if you open it by pressing the Win button, then the taskbar will be covered by Bongo

when pressing the windows key (or clicking the windows symbol or the search bar), the taskbar is set on top of the cat and the counter

the 1 minute cooldown is the steam suggested cooldown before the steam api just blocks the request, that's why i added it

no, it can happen in some games that if you start them the cat doesn't work (stops hitting it's paws when you type or click)
and i think this mainly happens because of admin privileges

Hi, this may be a dumb question, but I was wondering if there is any way Bongo Cat is going to be also released DRM/Steam-free, either through GOG, via GitHub or something similar? My girlfriend really loves seeing Bongo Cat on my desktop and is a bit jealous, and has asked me to see if I can get it on her computer installed. However it's under strict corporate IT policy and Steam cannot be installed. So just looking if there are other options 🙂

I was playing around with the scale setting, and if you have your cat in an unfortunate place it can just go away in the off-screen space. Reopening doesn't really work, i just swapped my screens around to retrieve him, but for other people it could become an issue (I have put it in a spot where a part of it would remain visible for the screenshot). Haven't tested it on a single screen, but on a double it's certainly a thing (i have it on my left-most monitor and it went away "lefter"). Also I have snapping turned on, if it's important.

I think the exchange only looks at rarity as you are able to add both hats and skins to the same exchange, there are just a higher chance of a hat as there are more of them

That still seems likely! Skins are very rare... I only got one so far. The way it works is that it randomly drops a random item of a certain rarity. And since there are so many hats, it is a lot less likely to drop skins.
