Party sync lowers the higher level person not to the lower person's level, but to the highest level of a zone. 45 sounds like you're in a Legion zone

If you are not planning on going hardcore, you dont really have to do the questchains that unlock different parts of the game just yet, you can simply queue for normal and heroic dungeons through the dungeon finder, and for the mount part, there is 16 years worth of content in wow with many mounts to collect

Retail has been designed to be played by new players. They added voice lines, an introduction guide, video cut scenes and send players into the later developed content with better graphics and a more streamlined questing experience.
Classic is like that game has been 17 years ago. A sandbox of endless tasks with no real goal or any explanations on what's going on (unless you read the texts in game).

You dont have to finish threads of fate in order to start the Thorgast questline, i think that you should do the intro quest to your covenant that is already in your questlog

I did it a long time ago, but if i remember correctly the first time when you can leave the worgen starting zone is when you arrive to darnassus, there is a tent that glows pink and if you walk under it you will be tped out of teldrassil

BUT you will have to do the majority(if not the entire) questline in order to get there

I wouldn't know anything about EU realms, but in general RP servers tend to have the better communities. They'll also feel more populated because there's no phasing in towns and cities. I'm on NA-Wyrmrest Accord, and despite being only a little Horde-leaning (closer to balanced on factions if you don't count all the stupid belves that just occupy pixels) it's pretty balanced, and the community is pretty awesome. I know people from EU who play on WrA, as well as people who don't RP and just prefer the server and vibe

For the first time you will be guided through the Battle for Azeroth expansion which is ideal for a new player becuase you dont have to swap expansions while you are lvling. It is possible to lvl in WOTLK, but you wont be able to lvl further than lvl 30ish, and in the end you will have to do BFA regardless if you lvl straight through it or lvl in different expansions @pallid fulcrum

@azure reef aye, the default skin. When you hover over the 2nd 3rd and 4th skins they have a tooltip that says the requirements to unlock. The 1st skin for Dragonslayer's Edge shows nothing. I'm not sure why, and I don't know why its not unlocked. I read its unlocked when you obtain the Dragonslayer's Edge.

Hi guys, I have always played other MMOs and I want to give WoW a start. I like to play a DPS class and like to do Raids. What class/race would you guys recommend?

Race is irrelevant, go for what's esthetically pleasing to you. Personally, I recommend playing a monk, paladin or druid, since they can fulfill all roles. But if you want purely DPS, I would pick rogue in melee, mage for casting, hunter for either melee or ranged.

Besides that, I would say warriors, monks, and rogues are the most fun in melee. Paladins are good, but the leveling is slow until you get Wake of Ashes.

Rogues have an advantage only feral druids also possess. Stealth.

You can simply not care about most mobs.

Rogues are hard because of decision-making and RNG, if you're Outlaw.

Most of their abilities share a GCD, so you can't pop everything and go.

Well pvp gear is bis for pvp, and if you have maxed it out for your rank then you cant really do a whole lot with it, maybe if you dont have it enchanted or if you dont have gem sockets on it then you could get those

got a question about gear and new patch 9.2 😭
recently i farmed 1800 rate and got the rival 1 gear on each slot, thats kinda my biggest achievement in terms of pvp so far as im totally new to retail.
I know that in couple months 9.2 should come out and, im curious, will the gear that i have now will become a lot weaker and not eligible to upgrade anymore? (by that i mean, will there be some new set with new name on it to farm up and current gear will be worthless?)

the gear from last season usually becomes not upgradable, for both pvp and m+
so although it will still be usuable while getting the new gear the new items will obv be better due to higher ilv etc

you can check how many of the questlines youve completed in suramar by tracking the good suramaritan and insurrection achievements

i presume youre still doing good suramaritan since insurrection is pretty straightforward once youve started it

theres a few stumps in the road for some quests such as needing a specific amount of ancient mana but theres a few guides out there but you shouldnt have to worry till you got to those points

if you turn on trivial quests a large majority of the ones you find around suramar will need to be completed for the achievements

You get 1000 anima tokens that cost 1000 anima, meaning that you lose nothing while doing it, this way you can transfer anima from 1 covenant to another if im not mistaken

classic is the original game (with some minor changes) ((and now TBC expansion too if you play on those servers)) and retail is the main game with the 18 years of changes. classic is for people who miss "how wow used to be" idk i started in TBC and i played some classic. its really grindy and not very user friendly for a first time player

season of mastery is a classic server type that is basically just to show off that you never died to anything if my understanding of those servers is correct. they have an exp buff that makes leveling easier too

Exile's reach (the new starting experience) is pretty good at teaching the basics of how to play the game

and Wowhead has plently of guides for whatever class and spec you choose to play but it being your first character i wouldn't over think it and just play what you think will be fun.

there are class trials you can do to play a character and see if you like it but it restricts you pretty badly

also that image is out of date i believe that boost will give you a 60 now

but the best way to learn a class is to level a class imo

The default leveling path from 10-50 is in BfA. Once you have leveled a character to 50 at least once, you can take future characters to speak to Chromie in your faction capital (indicated by the hourglass on your map) to activate Chromie Time so that you may use the expansion of your choice to level 10-50

Roughly a week to get max lvl. Getting gold for a token tho, you need to be doing gold making research. Expect to pay for at the bare minimum 2 months with cash until you get good at settling up and making gold
