And yeah, ranged classes for the most part have longer cooldowns, or many abilities that you have to stand still for. That's the tradeoff between ranged and melee

Beast mastery hunter is ranged but can cast its full rotation while moving, but the tradeoff is having to deal with pet AI

I had the same issue with Morg. not summoning the death gate - I had to contact a GM, and they said it showed my character already completed that quest, despite me actually not, so that's why it wasn't actually summoning. They had me abandon it and re-acquire from the board in stormwind, and it worked then. I assume they did something behind the scenes too.

Find out what material people most, and spend a few hours farming a lot, and then sell it all there, people spend a ton of money there, but at the same time, it depends on the economy in the server you play in, the competition, and it overall takes a lot of time

@pallid fulcrum coming from someone who's never played classic, only retail, and isn't consistent with the game at all, i love playing in all the different expansions. I mean, i've never raided in my whole entire life as i never went this far, i'm not even sure what a raid is tbh, but i like playing with better graphics (than classic), and cool looking zones, and quests, and cool items etc etc

my opinion probably isn't really valuable as i'm not doing any of the end game stuff, but yeah, i'm pretty easy to satisfy in video games

I'm really interested in Warcraft's lore ever since the RTS days and while I know some snippets from here and there. May I know if I need to go back to classic to go with the story?

because I finished the tutorial area for my human paladin, but suddenly the story seems to be in BFA already

i was expecting that after the tutorial area that i'll start back from the start thing. I just want to go through all the story by order (if possible)

The story of what's been happening in WOW is with each expansion - you can generally watch the cinematics and get a good idea of what's going on. There are books out there too which supplement the story, and give backstory - example, my favourite book series is the war of the ancients which tells the story of how Azeroth nearly blew up, Deathwing was made, etc.

Once you get to max level and finish the shadowlands 9.0 campaign (you don't need the 9.1 stuff for this), you can start a new character and pick where you want to start.

War of the Ancients covers nothing of lich king - it's all about the beginning of the current era of the game. In fact, dragon aspects play a large part in the lich king expansion pack, so knowing about them may help you better understand the game. It's not required to read them, but it is enjoyable

Although with the older books some of the lore is changed later on so not all the story given is technically cannon, for example stuff to do with illidan

There's also a cataclysm book that I've not read

That's because the new leveling system and new player zone was introduced after August, before the release of the Shadowlands expansion. If you have a level 50 character you gain access to Chromie Time which allows you to level 10-50 in the previous expansion of your choice. At or after level 50, you can still go to previous expansion content of your choice without Chromie Time

There is some weird bug going on with Bloodmaul Slag Mines. Whenever i get that dungeon, my character becomes stuck, i get that error whenever i try to log back in. And i have to use the blizzard service to unstuck the character. It's getting really annoying, i got that dungeon 3 times in a row with my shammy

@jaunty oasis FWIW, we're specifically talking about the @ everyone pings from Staff, not other users. That said, pings such as @ here or @ everyone are disabled for all users (outside of us) to minimize the amount of trolls we receive.

That said, it's not a big deal.

Please refrain from trying to using pings such as @ here or @ everyone. Even though it's disabled, the only time folks try to use it is when they're attempting to spam the server, not realizing the command is actually disabled -- so it has some connotations that come with it.
