if you dont have a lvl 50 character already then ye,you end up in the same place as the rogue,as you're mostly railroaded into the continent with the fat humans

until you have a lvl 50 character and can choose where to lvl

apparently,i made more reading into the issue,you get to visit it early during the BFA warcampaign at lvl 50,and you should have been able to snag the flightpath then,but if you didnt get the flightpath then,you could have joined a dungeon for it and walked out(which you cant do)
so in your case it seems your only solution is waterwalking @serene portal

If you don't have a water strider, water walking potions, or frost walking go east from 91,49 and there are no fatigue waters. It's a long swim but you won't die. apparently someone said this

Getting renown up would be good first step, as it will be the requirement for flying in 9.1.

It's a reward for completing the campaign chapter unlocked at 40-something renown. I'm not sure what's the current maximum, but it won't be max in 9.1.

Basically, unlocking flying in Shadowlands is easier than it was in WoD, Legion, or BFA.

Complete the campaign ASAP, no sidequests or dungeons until then. Once everything scales up to 60 (a bit after choosing the covenant) you can think about other stuff. Capping your renown is your priority.

WotLK did not have a single unifying campaign. Every quest brings you closer to your goal, reaching level 50.

its the new starting scenario for new players which is also an option for any new character you create which is not an allied race. you can still play the old zones but i think as a new player you are first forced to do it once

Slowly leveling up my profession. But I feel like I still know very little about the game. Doesn't seem to be much point in questing after max level?

Question is what should I do next? Classic? Find a guild? Do I need shadow lands? (not problem buying, but I wanted a better understanding of the game before fully commiting financially.) assume I know nothing

Once you reach max level, you should aim to start gearing, so M+ dungeons, start doing LFR and eventually find a guild that raids or does whatever you enjoy. There's also PVP, both unrated and rated, as well as a whole load of stuff to do in Shadowlands once you hit 60 🙂

I think that once you go into shadowlands you slowly start to learn a thing or two about the lore. Its such an expansive game based on 16 years of story telling. Id say follow the campaign quests till the campaign is possibly done(different quest marker) and then after that you can slowly start to realize what your class can actually do. Find a chill guild for starters and then later on you can harder into the raids and such(as they are very difficult) or choose lore based guilds [rp and transmogs(cosmetics and storytelling from your own perspective)] or you can do pvp guilds and such. The game is a lot for a newcomer. It can really feel like a lot but id say take it slowly step by step. Raids are the endgame of the entire game and develop storyline and maybe new characters or enemies. You can do dungeons at level 60 but the campaign shows the dungeons youll experience them

Shadowlands is semi-alt friendly; once you've completed the quest line on one character, you can choose to either do them again or pick Threads of Fate - you do what you want pretty much and doing dungeons, quests and world quests for a certain area will grant you % for said area.

I have played some wow in the past, also some other mmos, and I would like to get back to wow. But just for one main reason, and that is to collect mounts. I am not sure why, but I have never liked a thing in a game as much as the mounts in wow and thus that is the reason I like to play it. Old achievements for that were moved to the Legacy category. It says "Reached level 120 prior to the Shadowlands expansion." or similar, depending on the highest level achievement you had.

Achievements didn't exist during vanilla and TBC. All level milestones earned before then would be awarded on the day the achievement system was introduced, with the system not knowing the actual day you did it.

Sooo I just healed my first dungeon as level 19 priest. I'm not new to WoW but I've been a tank for years and then just casual DPS. Now at the last boss everyone keeps getting bombed by aoe and I can only heal one person at a time while avoiding aoe and staying in range of the group. So yeah people die. Any tips on how to handle these situations? When you have to keep healing the tank and every DPS super fast. Maybe some add-ons that help.

Hey, I've been having a bit of a strange issue with my WoW recently. Whenever I load up the game plays completely find however it progressively starts getting a bit FPS-droppy the more I play until about 2 hours in, for example, and I start getting huge FPS spikes in Oribos, jumping around and well.. Basically playing the game as a slideshow.

I'd say it's perhaps an overheating issue however if I simply close the game down and re-open it, everything is fine again for another 2 hours-ish. Anyone know what it could be?

Could be a memory leak

Have you tried opening task manager and seeing if wow consumes more and more resources as it goes on

Or try seeing if this happens for any other game too

Or try reinstalling/repairing the install

See if this issue is also for wow classic.

Hey! So I have both repaired and reinstalled at least twice since the issue started to no avail. It doesn't appear to be an issue in WoW classic or other games however I do not have another game that really challenges my memory like WoW.

In terms of hardware, I'm limited to 8 gb of ram which may be the issue in itself.

Though I haven't quite had the problem in the past.

there was a spreadsheet sometime ago going around that detailed exactly at what floor(or higher) they spawn,so going lvl 8 is surefire to have the possibility to spawn them,i think most spawn on 5 or higher,some at 6 or higher

You can play with just a subscription, up to lvl 50.

You don't have to buy Shadowlands unless you want to lvl past 50 to 60 and play all the newly added content

ive been trying for like 2 days to figure out how to start my shaman order hall campaign... all i want is my class mount but im so lost. i know i have to do breaching the tomb but that requires a legion invasion, and i think those are bugged because i completed every WQ during an invasion, did the big quest at the end AND the 3 man scenario but nothing happened. the only quest i have in dalaran is for my artifact weapon (i think) but in order to continue it i need an artifact weapon to recieve the councils gift? im so confused can anyone help lol

To obtain a Dalaran Hearthstone, visit the Hero's Call Board in Stormwind or the Warchief's Command Board in Orgrimmar and pick up the Broken Shore option "Fight The Legion". This will grant you the quest "The Legion Returns" (Alliance/Horde).

do that first, then once you get to Legion Dalaran you should be visited by an NPC that will start your order hall quests

It only has one boss, the big dragon in the middle. If you kill him, you need to wait until the weekly reset for it to respawn.
