Accept the quest: The Harbinger

That SHOULD at least get you on the path for starting TWW."

Thanx I’ve read a bit and seems they broke the transfer from remix toon to start tww and don’t seem to want to fix it. Seems stupid cause ow the only way to play the new extension I bought is to start a whole new toon and that’s just a waste of time to restart all over again. God knows when or if they will ever fix it too

Answer from a GM someone posted on the forums.
First, try the “Dalaran Jump.” Travel manually to Dalaran in the Broken Isles (Legion version) and take the portal back to your capital city. This specific travel route often forces the server to re-scan your priority quest logs and can trigger the TWW intro immediately

Or try manually flying to silithus to magni's azerite chamber and pick up the quest there from thrall

If that doesn't works speak with Zidormi in Silithus. Look for the speech bubble icon on your map and ask her to show you the “present time” (post-sword wound). Manually toggling the time-state with her can often break the phase loop you are currently experiencing

If still No Go try toggling Warmode on or off in Stormwind or Orgrimmar. Switching your character’s world phase entirely is one of the most effective ways to force the game to load a fresh world-state and recalculate active campaign triggers. You can also try picking up any random quest from the Hero’s Call Board and abandoning it to “nudge” the quest delivery system

As a last resort, if these steps do not work, perform a full interface reset by closing the game and renaming your Interface and WTF folders, along with deleting the Cache folder. This clears any residual data from the Remix event that might be interfering with your current UI

If after all that still doesn't work then open a GM ticket and 🙏😅

I noticed that when first launching the game after the update, if you get the addon popup saying “these are outdated you should disable” and gives you the option to disable or ignore, ignoring doesn’t list them as incompatible and some work.

I clicked ignore and my spouse clicked disable, now many of my addons are still functioning but not for my spouse. Is there a way to make WOW recheck all the addons and ask to ignore or disable?

I’m able to have addons like vuhdo work on my version of wow by updating files to 12.0.1, but the addon is permanently listed as incompatible for my spouse

Of course long term answer is wait for the update, but wondering how to make the game recheck for if I edit an addon listed as incompatible

Yep I got an old version of Vuhdo to load by editing it as 12.0.0. If you clear your cache and WTF folder they can be re-examined as incompatible or compatible. But you’re absolutely right, clicking load old addons will not load anything marked as incompatible

Help with dispelling prepatch. I am so frustrated without addons for dispelling. The base UI says it changes colour but I can't see it. The buffs and debuffs are all together on the party frames. I have dispellable by me checked in the UI and I have a mouseover macro. I am just not seeing the debuffs turning up on the UI. Is there a set up guide or addon that still works to help with the dispels? I tried to do Dawnbreaker and it was a disaster!

Hey has anyone else’s toon lost there strength? I did the gift of the six quest and I was doing 250k damage on average depending on the move, now all of a sudden I’m 500 damage, sometimes I’ll get up to 15k with build up. I’ve done different areas and different maps etc. I’m at a complete loss as to why my damage has gone down so much. I’m wondering if anyone else has had this happen and can explain how to fix it or if it was maybe nerfed in one of the many patches recently?

Again, I thought the story book was cool, until none of it counted and the 3 hours invested was only for an organized story and then had to do all the quests again anyway. I'd recommend you just going through the story at your own pace, DF till 68, then Dorn for the rest of the story

There's also an "adventure log" now, which can help guide you through what campaign or whatever you'd like to do and guide you to the correct quests

I wasn't here for Dragonflight, so I've gone back and successfully completed 7/9 chapters in the campaign. I'm having trouble finishing the last two: Zaralek Caverns and The Emerald Dream. I believe I have two quests left to do in those zones: the Aberrus and Amirdrassil raids. The problem is, the story mode npcs are not there. I've done all the other campaign quests there and double checked that I wasn't missing anything with Wowhead's quest tracker.

Can someone explain to me why one of my houses has 10 exp more than the other? Both neighborhoods have completed their endeavors. All first housing item bonuses apply to both houses. It makes no sense to me.

If you have nothing of that sort configured: are you using nvidia? i've seen some people report issues with wow on nvidia since there was some kind of scaling stuff enabled in their software that did weird things when moving the camera

Nope, you can only earn 2k housing exp through endeavors a month so it can be unbalanced, if you focus on the horde one first it can be 2k exp ahead of the alliance one. It’s stupid house level track should just be one track

I've capped Endeavor XP on both my houses, both are currently level 7. I change neighborhoods almost every day. Sometimes several times a day. Once you're capped, you're capped. You do get 2250 x 2 but it's separated by faction, even if you do both houses with the same character (i.e. the Horde endeavor only gives housing XP to your Horde house even if you do it with an Alliance character). You can still change neighborhoods and help level them and collect coupons, but you won't be getting any housing XP after cap. Collecting decor is all you can do after cap, but at least that applies equally to both houses.

My houses have unequal XP also, but I assume it's because I didn't make one until a week or so after the first so it's behind on housing XP. But that's only a guess. I'm working on finishing the Endeavor cap on my current Horde neighborhood and if I get the 250 XP (even though I'm capped) then I'm hoping my two houses match XP. But if they don't then I assume it's because I didn't make my Horde house until way after I made my Alliance house.

Now that I think about it, I did move my house when my guild neighborhood opened. Does housing exp transfer when you move? I assumed it did, but maybe that’s a bad assumption.

Yes, everything stays in place completely when you move. Some people do that intentionally just to farm housing XP or tokens without diminishing returns. Kind of like a traveling landscaper, doing a few chores in a neighborhood and moving to another for higher pay.

I'm thinking once Midnight comes maybe there will be a long term reason to stay in one public neighborhood but right now there's not really one.

If I have a neighbor with a beautiful house then I'll stay put for a while just to ogle at their work. But if I'm the only decorator around me then I keep moving until I find a good neighbor. I had a beautiful Night Elf house next door for a while that was decorated like a vineyard. I stayed until they moved and then I moved also.

Once you’re capped that doesn’t really matter, plus if you have a nice yard it often gets messed up if you change lot numbers. So you have to really care about min/max to do it.

My wake of ashes ability triggers avenging wrath, so i can no longer click avenging wrath manually since it only casts with wake of ashes now. But the macro the guide wants me to use casts avenging wrath to also cast my trinkets, is this suppose to be the case or just an over look on the guide? Tonight I moved my capped-XP Horde house to a different public neighborhood and grinded its endeavor to 100%. The chest did give me 250 housing XP. I don't remember if it's the only Horde neighborhood I capped this week. I don't know if that happens every time you reach 100% or just once per house.

You can freely move your house as many times as you want, and every public neighborhood has an Endeavor. There’s no exploit in moving your house to another neighborhood and working on a different Endeavor set.

Grinding out the Endeavor is a ton of time. I did neighborhood chores for hours and hours. Lot of coupons and a chest at the end. But I don’t know if you can do the chest repeatedly per period. I know I’ve opened at least one chest on both factions but I don’t know if it’s let me open more. I’ll have to intentionally grind another public neighborhood to see it gives another.

I wasn’t talking about moving your house, I was talking about opening the one time chest at the end of the endeavor track and “re-earning” the housing exp. If that does work it is 100% an exploit and not intentional

But Ky'veza is just fucked up in so many ways. I probably have over 100 pulls on her. But oh well, to hell with the mount.

wild, the second one was harder for me for the bomb kicking and the RNG of the add placement. Ky'veza was hard but more of a technical fight

The thing is, Ky'veza is the least forgiving fight in the entire game. Every mechanic is a one shot. I made mistakes on the underpin fight, and I recovered. Making sure you do not step one hair distance incorrectly for an entire 10 minute fight is just too cognitively demanding and unrealistic across the entire player base.

I am almost certain that the number of people who managed to beat the ky'veza fight is still lower than the underpin's.

yeah, i suppose but they loosen the mechanics on her fight and she doesn't do a whole lot of damage outside of her mechanics so she's not as much as a threat to non tank specs. like underpin and the first one

I don't know about that. The other way around is a LOT easier to me than constantly threading the needle across two mechanics, with a shell guessing game as the cherry on top. not really, there's tier set pieces then there's just pieces that also drop from raids, you can catalyze those same armor type into your tier pieces but only your armor type

If you are under Level 70:
Just go back to Chromie in Stormwind/Orgrimmar and re-select the Battle for Azeroth timeline. It’ll put you back in the right phase and scaling.

If you hit Level 70+ (Chromie kicked you out):
Go to Silithus: Take the portal from your capital city to the Giant Sword.
Enter the Chamber of Heart: Talk to Magni or Wrathion inside the heart chamber portal.
Check the Map: Look at Uldum or Vale of Eternal Blossoms. If you don't see the "Purple Eye" (N'Zoth Assaults), talk to Zidormi (the white speech bubble icon on the map) to switch the zone to the "Present Day" version.

Hey bit of a random question but I'm trying to solo Rygelon from Sepulcher as a rogue . I was gone from the game for years, came back recently and working through War Within quests so my gear is a mix of DF and leveling stuff from WW. Every guide I see talks about how easy he's supposed to be now, but his massive bang one shots me and the unstable matter can't be killed to allow entering the singularity (not sure if that is disabled when solo). Basically I can't burn him fast enough to avoid massive bang entirely, nor can I seem to do the mechanic meant to deal with massive bang. Any tips?

Might be as simple as needed to get actual level 80 gear but I wanted to ask in case I'm missing something

he's easy, if you can beat the big bang or survive the first big bang. but yes it's doable just need to have high dps

I saw at least one video talking about just mitigating it and maybe it's possible as a tank but as a rogue, I've tried and nothing seems to work. Cloak doesn't do squat for it T_T

Any idea if the singularity mechanic is straight up disabled when solo? That's supposedly how you avoid the massive bang, but the unstable thing only pops up briefly and seems to take basically no damage

if the stars reach him he absorbs them so they have to be killed before getting to him to be able to do that mechanic

I think there's two things. The quasars (stars) which spawn like 6 and go to him. Kill them and stand in their puddles and I guess you hold off building up some debuff, but the guides talk about the Unstable Matter that you're supposed to kill shortly before he starts casting massive bang, as it explodes into safe spots where you enter the singularity which avoids getting insta-killed by massive bang

I get the stars and AOE those down easy, but the unstable matter just doesn't seem to function the way it does in the guides/videos. I hoped maybe someone here had done it recently and knew whether it straight up doesn't work solo.

Yeah could be. The rest of the bosses were easy and honestly so is Rygelon, except for his insta-kill mechanic. It's not like the fight is even dragging out long, it's just that what you're meant to do to get through it seemingly isn't doable while solo right now

You can also get a hero tier item this week if you do a high tier delve and use a Delver's Bounty. The easiest way to get that is to fight Ky'veza in any delve. You can either buy an item from the murloc NPC at the Delver's Headquarters in Dornogal to spawn her near the checkpoint, or you can wait for her to spawn naturally.

You wont run serious raids in older expansions. those are typically solo runs. And raids that you can run solo wont provide any gear. But there is no need for you to get gear anyway. You wont run any content that requires gear and IF you decide to buy the next expansion you will immediately replace any gear you aquired

But there are many things to do in PVE. The usuals are Questing, Delves, Mythic + Dungeons (probably the most played), and yes raids.
You will probably do all of them at some point but only questing/delves (for said quests) are "a must" for some campaigns.
M+ and Raids are the endgame content. The stuff you run geared and informed to get even greater gear and other rewards like mounts

I cannot get situations to work with the new transmog system. I have 4 outfits. All 4 have situations enabled. 3 of them are set to be everything but swimming. 1 of them is set for swimming. But when I swim, nothing changes. What am I doing wrong?

you wont get anything of note from doing old dungeons/raids. continue to 80 (you can do dungeons while leveling if you want. Some quests might have a specific dungeon as their requirement even) .
Once you're 80 you can worry about gearing and endgame content but since we're so close to midnight i wouldnt waste time with that. once midnight is released you will quickly get rid of your old gear while leveling to 90

So, next question 🙂 I understand it rotates between outfits that have the same situation set. Is there anyway to remove an outfit from rotation entirely? For example, I'd like to turn off all situations for one outfit. I tried turning off situations for that one outfit, but it still shows up in the rotation. Does that make sense?

Well, rotation implies order, so that was a poor choice of words on my part. My understanding is, if I have the 3 non-swimming outfits set identically, its a random choice which one will be chosen when I stop swimming. So, my question is, how do I remove one (two actually) from the possible options. Does that make more sense?

I think I might be able to fudge it by setting them to a spec I don't use. But that seems rather clunky.

if you want the outfit to not be in your list, you save it as a custom set, and then clear the outfit

outfits are for auto switching or switching with a button

custom sets are more like how transmog worked before
