I'm trying to unlock the locked races, for most of them it says reach level 40 and then visit the stormwind embassy. I have 2 80's but when I go to the embassy there aren't any quests and no npc's here let me do anything. I did notice that reach level 40 is still red when I hover over the locked races for some reason, not sure if it's supposed to be green. What am I missing?

Friend said to just recraft the boots and have them without embellishments, but can I do this without spending a ton of money on new reagents?

There's a few things which is not warband shared such as raid boss gear etc., but in general the warband system is there exactly to help out with alts

So we avoid the same rep grind multiple times there

Depends if you loot some items in the ghost realm. When I did it I just ran past everything without looting a single thing, that way you can re-enter the ghost realm in case your timer runs out or get detected by those ghost guards

Idk if anything was looted or something, but in case you can't get back into the realm (can also always try with a re-log, just to be sure) then it should be a daily reset cooldown

If you log out in raid for an extended period the game will hearth you to where your hearthstone is set or boot you to the nearest graveyard. It’s best to walk out the entrance and logout if your hearthstone isn’t close to the raid or if the raid is one of the longer ones to get to

Because you're not there yet in the storyline. After your initial intro of landing in there, it's quite a while before you go back. Check other questlines to see if you haven't fulfilled prereqs. "Into the Maw" is just the umbrella term the addon author gave to those quests

Unforunately, Crafting is Realm locked, meaning, unless you are in a Cross-Realm Guild, you will only be able to get a crafter on your Realm to craft/recraft for you

At the class hall, Shandris Feathermoon is already a follower, is not on any mission, and doesn't show up to hand me any quest.

But I cannot see the Archmage Khadgar at Krasus Landing. Cannot see Nimi Brightcastle at Broken Shore, who could hand me the quest Devastating Effects. now I'm stuck.

Only you can remove an Embellishment with a recraft, unfortunately. You can't do it with a personal order, you have to recraft the item yourself

Id say all classes can be fun and rewarding as a new player, except maybe evoker and demon hunter.
As long as you do the exiles reach it should give you a good feel for your class and it teaches basics.
It takes about an hour, which doesn't sound like a lot but you get abilities pretty quickly.

We are all in the same guild there were at least I think 9 or 10 people were there and we fought all the bosses needed in order to try and unlock the achievements but its still grayed out like we didnt but we did tho!!! so we assumed it was broken but since all these updates have happened I was wondering if it was still broken or not and if it is or isn't will determine weather or not we try for it again.

yes we met "All" criteria - also after we failed getting that achievement we tried to unlock another guild mount by going to another place that we needed to kill all the bosses for and that to wasn't working

jus feels like guild shop mount achievements are broken =X.x-
mind you we did this a while ago not forever ago we tried it waaay earlier this year but haven't tried to attempt it recently

Pre TWW rares will always drop something your spec can use. In rare causes if they have bind when equip loot you might get one of those but usually the loot is specifically for your class and spec

Thanks to the changes in the 10.2.6 patch you can farm heroic, although be warned the last boss is long if you don’t have a group to do the mechanic.

she gets a shield that reduces damage taken until you break it but it requires everyone to stand in a certain spot in one go which you can't do alone so you just have to kill her with the shield up since you can't break it alone.

Hello all, I’ve just downloaded the WOW free trial and I was hoping to get some answers about the game if possible

Firstly, I would like to know straight off the bat the best path to start with me and my friend, we both would like to experience the game as a whole, playing through each expansion to experience the world and it’s story as it’s progressed throughout the years. I am aware of a thing called chromie time which enables this, however a bit downside to this is that you are capped at a certain level and can no longer continue playing through the expansions.

I was just wondering is there any way to play through the entire games story as a grind and possibly do it with randoms in servers that have a similarly objective in mind? If so how would I do this? Is this done through the games classic mode? Where they’re up to cataclysm now, is classic expansions the exact same as the original expansions in their old form? If so is there a level cap, if not can I play through the story like I would be when the expansion/s first launched, as I would like to for example learn about the Lich king then finally battling him, same with death wing etc etc. If all this is possible, please let me know the best solution for my needs, along with telling me the best way for me and my friend to start wow, thanks.

Gezz lol 😂 if you wanna experience all from beginning just turn off exp at level cap from each expansion unless you finish the storyline in full, then go another expansion and gradually increase cap. Or just play classic. On retail leveling is super fast.

With chromie on most of the game will scale to you. But that means if you stayed on free trial and did a lot of quests, you'd likely run out of quests when you subbed (if you go really hard and did a ton of quests, which would maybe be very hard to do) making it harder to reach max level later.

You do level very fast in retail so you'd hit 20 within a a few hours easily

You can, however, still play older content even at max level. The game is primarily designed to bring you to current content as soon as possible, making you able to stay up to date with current content and free to clear old content at your own pace

one other q - before going into gearing for mythic plus is it generally a good idea to craft most of your pieces upto 636 gear? Most of my gear right now is maxed out Hero so they're all 626 capped, boots are crafted 619 though

I would say it depends whether you want to push for the absolute max you can at your current ilvl or if you have plans on getting myth tracked pieces, but generally the higher ilvl you have overall, the better if you think of the smooth + timed experience

I am by no means a warrior main, but I have some guildies which are, and they often talk about haste. But it's also a min-max topic you're starting moving into when you talk secondary stats over ilvl.
Generally ilvl should be the main focus at first and then secondary stats if you for example have two pieces with the same ilvl at your disposal etc.

So if you want the opinion based on my limited warrior knowledge I would say you should be able to do +10s to go for the myth tracks in the vault.

Really, just take it slow. Warrior is basically an investment, gear is extremely impactful on warrior due to how stats scale, but you won’t feel it until quite a bit later.

For a human warrior, I typically suggest rushing a two handed sword training, it costs 10 silver and can be purchased in Stormwind the human city by Woo Ping. After that just do quests you run into, there aren’t any extreme cases to avoid.

Warrior is extremely slow at the start. 99% of your damage until like level 20 is just pure auto attacking + sunder armor on higher health mobs. Once you get further in you will get an ability Thunder Clap to help deal with multiple targets.

If you want notable gear, do your quests in Westfall all the way through. At level 16 you can pick up the quest “The Defias Brotherhood” which sends you all over the place then back to the Deadmines Dungeon to get you really good leggings and maybe even the 11 strength slow mace inside.

Just know for warrior you want SLOW weapons. Don’t disregard an upgrade entirely because it’s faster though, you just get more rage on hit from slower weapons.

At level 20 things start to shift, and around 34 it shifts to what warrior is actually like, and at 40 you get an instant swing ability which is huge for warrior.

You can always return to the content later at level 80 and do the content yourself or with others. You can use the group finder, but not the random group finder

And you haven't messed up--the game is designed to bring you to the most current content as soon as possible so that you can catch up easily and not be left behind. Once you're up to date on current content, you're free to go back and do old content at your own pace

Dragonflight is just 10-70 leveling content, with the new expansion The War Within being 70-80 and current endgame content

There are tons of world quests on the Dragon Isles, but not that one. Hey guys, good morning. I might need a bit of help on one of my characters. There's no way to start the Shadowlands intro quests on my lvl 75 character. Chromie in Orgrimmar doesn't offer a way to change the timeline. What am I missing?

I remember I did the introductory part and I think I've completed all quests in 1st zone on another character.

Chromie doesn't unlock the content, only scales it to your level for the purpose of leveling 1-70. You need to enable tracking of low level quests from the tracking menu (binoculars icon, top right) while also making sure there are no other quest phases blocking it (like other expansion intro questlines, BFA Siege of Orgrimmar, etc)

Nope. It doesn't matter if you did it on another character, you have to do it all again on this character to get to the Shadowlands. Check the adventure board in your faction capital or look for Nazgrim or Mograine in your faction capital

Yup, just put the macros on an actionbar and keybind it. In edit mode you can quickly and easily change keybinds by selecting the actionbar you want to keybind

got a niche question: if you queue for something like chromie's codex on a character above level 10 that doesn't have a spec, will it pick a spec for you based on the role you select? or will you remain specless?

i'm too paranoid to try it myself instead it gives you a spec

since at that point you can't undo it

but for loot it will always just give you something your class can use. regardless of spec. until max level then it will give you anything from the loot pool as WuE items

If you’re looking for fast gear though, do the siren isles quests for the iron currency then turn it in for a full set of 584 gear to get started with

If you press I by default, the dungeon finder, you can run dungeons for xp and gear

Classic Timewalking is a limited event that runs several of warcrafts original dungeons (I believe the ones in the queue are Deadmines, Dire Maul West, ZulFarak, and Stratholme)

You can run other dungeons, but this event gives significantly more XP when you finish the dungeon

This won’t be up until after the maintenance today for the weekly reset, so if you’re in game right now it will say Cataclysm Timewalking

Hello i have a question regarding the start of a completely new character: Is there any difference between the dragonflight starting quests you get when you get put into orgimmar vs the timewalking version of dragonflight you enter when you talk to chromie? it's slightly confusing

i created this new zandalari troll, was told to talk to chromie in orgimmar by the queen and a portal waited for me, when i got there i had a quest that was what i assume the intro quest to the dragonflight expansion. So why am i able to timewalk to the dragonflight expansion with chromie?

You're in a different phase. That's all. All Chromie Time does is put you in a different phase and scale content 10-70 for leveling

You just won't see anyone 70+
