Anybody having FPS issues with this latest patch? Went from 120-140fps in raid with settings on 8 (3090 with latest drivers) and now I'm sitting on 35 fps in val. Tried disabling addons, reverting to older drivers, and I can't for the life of me figure out whats causing it.

If you have to ask about the meta, then you're not actually playing in the level of content where the meta matters--and even then, once you're at that point you'll know the situational and subjective nuances behind the meta and how to best perform around it.

You can unlock and use mounts as early as level 10--but if you're asking about the Dragonriding drakes from Dragonflight you need to be level 60+ and you unlock them playing that content

It's a Twitch drop. Because everyone and their dog is earning it at the same time, it can take up to 24-72 hours for it to show up in your game as Blizz processes

when you have warmode on, your alliance and horde population isnt really determined by your server. you have "cross realm zones" in open world areas where you will see players from a variety of other servers. the population you see depends on if there are world quests going on, weekly quests, or even time of day. as gumball said play what you want

Just the way it's worded; the second part mainly about consuming the charged combo points. I watched a video, it was a little old but not much, and this rogue had 2 CP and 1 Charged CP and was claiming he was hitting for 7 CP on the finishers.. which was doing less damage from what I could tell in his example than the 5 CP finishers

Was he wrong in his understanding of it?

the way it currently works is that when you activate it you will see that your combopoint slots from 2-4 are empowered. so if you spent 2,3 or 4 combopoints you will spend this empowerment on whatever slot you are currently on and your finisher will hit for 7 points. if you spend it for the empowerment of the 4th slot you will still have the 2nd and 3rd empowered which you can also both spend for a 7 point finisher. atleast thats how it worked for me since the talent rework up until now. maybe its different depending on your build. i've been playing with the bonespike raiding build from the wowhead guide for the most part

took me a little while to understand it myself ^^ its quite useful for applying the bleeding effect via Rupture since you can apply it for longer this way. afterwards you would use your abilities that boost your bleeding damage and/or cut the remaining time of the dot to increase the damage further. atleast thats the way i use it at the start of a pull as an assassination rogue

There’s some story related quests that phases you over there so if you haven’t done them it pulls you into that instance where ||the citadel is under attack and being actively defended|| as opposed to afterwards

Worth is subjective so that's up to you to decide. Plenty of new players start all the time, and the new player/starting experience is better than it has been in the past and is only improving. You only need to play current content to be relevant in current content, so it's not like some other MMO's where you have to slog through a bunch of old stuff to get to where everyone else is playing

Never been very good at games but I do try to enjoy myself and have fun. Obviously there are people who take it super seriously (it's a stereotype of this game) but is the casual community strong?

Don't worry, the game is fine for whatever your definition of casual is. Even most of the world 1st players are adults with careers and families

Play the game with a free Starter Edition account, and if you want to try it more then get gametime or a subscription. If you still like it, get the current expansion to level to max and play current endgame content

There's a bug right now where a specific item is causing my game to crash when I mouse over it...it just fatal exceptions my game and shuts it off. I have tried disabling all my addons, I've tried clearing my cache, I've tried renaming my WTF folder. When I mouse over the item in my bag, or the recipe for the same item in my bank, or the item as it appears in my profession window, the game crashes. The game even crashes if I type a letter into the search box for my bags if that letter is in the name of the item. Figurine: Golden Hare -- Someone else reported this as a bug on the forums and I bumped it today.

I'm just trying to find a temporary fix because I keep mousing over it accidentally in my bags and it crashes my game.

I wrote a bug report. I wrote on the bug forums. I don't think a GM can fix this. So it's just a waiting game until a developer fixes this.

A question of my own now; does anyone have a good video or maybe a quick answer for the differences in Dragon Isles Professions vs the general Professions? I.e., I'm leveling my Dragon isle mining and Enchanting while I'm leveling the character I boosted.. will I also need to farm the levels for the 'general' Mining or Enchanting? Is there even a purpose to that if all the enchants and mats I would want would be from Dragon Isles?

Professions are each tied to different expansions, so it's not necessary. I will say though that many have items that can still be useful, such as engineering with their various wormholes, gadgets, tinkers, and other quality of life items. Usually they only work in that expansion's content but there are some that are universally useful, subjectively

Keep trying to get back into retail wow, but cant find a class with an easy rotation that is still fun to play. What are some easy rotation classes? I've tried BDK and BM hunter so far. BDK was fun, but resource managment made it not fun. BM was just not fun.

I suggest an Outlaw Rogue or any Warrior.

Outlaw Rogue have such a functional simplicity about their rotation that you don't need more than four buttons to make it work. Those being, spam Sinister Strike until Pistol Shot procs, keep Between the Eyes up, use combo points to keep Slice and Dice up, and burn the rest on Dispatch. Very simple.

And very fun, too.

And warriors, well, where do I even start?

Fun is subjective and all race, class, and spec combinations are viable for all forms of content and the best one is going to be the one you're better at playing and enjoy the most. Some playstyles feel easier for different players for different reasons, but objectively they all have a very low skill floor

And if you don't like resource management, Rogue (especially Outlaw) is a poor recommendation on Motivated's part (objectively, not meaning to offend)

Druid is meant to be played mostly in a form, whether bear (tank), cat (dps), moonkin (mix), or tree (heals). There really aren't enough spells available to you outside of a form to do much

Faction war has been the main feature of Warcraft since its inception. There are NPC groups that combine the sides for the greater good, but anything player-wise hasn't happened until Dragonflight allowing cross-faction raiding for the 1st time

If you want to find out the story from each side, there's nothing stopping you from having a Hordie and an Alliance toon

the forms are relevant to the spec you are playing; ie bear druid youll be casting your tank abilities, feral druid youll be casting your feral damage, balance druid does the balance damage spells, and restoration (healer) sits in "human" form most times with the option to change to a different form to min max damage but i wouldnt concern yourself with that. if you are changing out of the form you are supposed to be in when you cast an ability, most of the time that means youre casting something not for the spec you are playing

depends on your group/ the group. sometimes randoms will be okay with lower itemlevels but its rare. if it's your own group i've found friends usually don't care if you're undergeared. i'd say pretty much at this point with the catch up system being so easy to hit 402 from just world content and no combat that would be a great itmlvl to shoot for especially since all that can be turned into tier gear (dreamsurge gear. plus you can upgrade all of it to 424.

Now the real question is: Is it worth to start playing WoW these days? If so where should I go? I don't think classic hc is the right place and jumping straight into classic wotlk is a little bit too much.

I've been trying to do the Kharazan for Secrest of Azeroth. Go in the front door, keys never appear. And instead of turning back towards moroes room keep going till ur on the 2nd floor above the stage

And it’s basically press w till ur at the area where u start in return of karazhan

you can only mog the type of armor your class can use normally.

evokers use mail so they can use any mail type mog unless it's a class tier set and even then there are sometimes ways to unlock those appearances across said armor type but sometimes in the case of the new trading post items there are hard class restrictions

Hello, good afternoon everyone, my name is Ernesto Mora and I am desperately looking for someone to help me review my case in my Wowclassic account. My account has been suspended for the reason that, according to what they sent me, the use of unauthorized programs to cheat (Hacks) and of which I have never used such programs, I have sent tickets so that they can verify my account and realize that it is an error but the same decision of the suspended account is maintained. I am a person who likes to do things well and respecting the game's contract agreements is a priority for me. I don't use hacks, I don't do illegal things because in the end the one who gets damaged and harmed is me. I know that the tests I am accused of are in error because I am convinced that I have not used any unauthorized program to cheat, for me the most important thing is to have fun times with my friends and all the other WoW players. I would like you to review it, the truth is that it fascinates me and this game is very fun and I don't want to lose it.
Please, if there is even the slightest possibility of help, I will be eternally grateful, I have written in many places and have not had any response.
Please someone help me resolve this confusion.

they already mentioned that they created tickets. when did you create them? blizzard support has been very slow for a long time now. i think i read somewhere recently that tickets take around 4 weeks to get an answer to

Your account may have been accidentally swept up in a bot-squashing event. IF that is the case, this is definitely something that needs to be taken care of thru official channels. Make absolutely sure your ticket is sent thru the proper category, then have patience. As others have said, the GMs are swamped & have been for ages

Yes, I live in the US, and the response emails that the support team send me are always the same, and although I tell them to check carefully because what they are doing to me is unfair.

I'd also do a thorough review of my addons, if I were you (if you use any). If you're not downloading your addons from Curseforge, it's entirely possible there's malicious code tucked away in one of them somewhere and that's what's alerted Blizz

Then I suggest going the the official forums to see if anyone else was erroneously caught up in the bot sweep. Check your server's official forum page, see if other threads have been started concerning the issue

it might also be helpful to know what addons you do/did use to help narrow it down. but again we're just a fansite discord and there is no official discord for WoW. the only place you'll receive help about your account is from the blizzard ticket system

I’m so happy to see I wasn’t bad at the game when I couldn’t get good parses or as high io as top guilds. So deserved with the bot ban wave, l2 play without rotation bot like normal people.

no, your weak auras addon, usually have more custom weakauras (WAs) that you'd load up in game

still nope, although since your account is locked you can't really access that stuff. but iirc all the WA stuff is done in game and it could be where you ran into some issues with maybe a keystroke thing.

i mean honestly all you can really do is wait and hope you get approved for the appeal or just wait out the ban timer and take a good look at what you have downloaded the next time you get into game

i recommend to uninstall almost all of those addons. you dont even know what wa are for obviously and you still have it installed. there should really be an addon tutorial before you're allowed to install addons

hey guys. so im planning on buying a WoW sub, but before that, I want to finish the free trial. Anyways, could some of yall tell me a good solo class for me? In ESO, i play StamDK and MagTemp (if any of yall know what that is, saying it because thats my playstyle). For the people who dont play ESO, i like to get in peoples faces and DPS them. I love magic, but I dont want to be weak as a twig (if you know, you know).

I am not a fan of healer, and I dont wanna be tank just because I play tank alot in ESO and I find it boring atm.

Hi all. I used to see pvp world quests on the map in DF, usually in the Azure Span, but I don't see them anymore. There's a trading post item to finish one...but I'm not sure where it is. Am I blind?

there's two WPvP world quests up per day, there's a boss one and a "normal" kill objective one up in the four original DF zones and zaralek caverns. in order to see them you have to have WM toggled on with the exception of the azure might one (for some reason) but only two of them are active on any given day.

Oh, thanks, that makes sense. Previously I could see them w/o war mode on...you could just fly into the zone and it would switch on.

Yeah the only one I know that worked like that in DF is the azure might one but all the other ones needed WM on. And if you’re interested in the title doing the azure might one without enable WM actually doesn’t count as completing it for the achievement lol a little tidbit I found out in the first few weeks of DF

also idk if the regions share the same WPvP quests but todays (for NA are the boss in Nokhudon Hold, and the kill quest in Thaldraszus)

Iirc is 415 stuff
It's marked by a night elf looking symbol.
Until tomorrow it's in azure span, after that should be valdrakken

I think each gear item is 150 essence

Caverns also give decent gear just from quests

Each item starts at 402 itmlvl and cost 100 essence but they are level 70? I’m not sure if they scale to your level or not

You can get one 415 piece a week from doing the weekly dreamsurge quest

Nope, level to 60 then play dragonflight. You’ll have plenty of time after 70 to go back and revisit old expansions if you want to.

But doing old content is fun, so even at max level you can do the quests and enjoy the story (or level alts in different timelines)
