Guys, would it be worth to level my own toons' professions? I really dislike the new system and I also jumped back into WoW a couple of weeks ago so I disregarded it completely in favor of doing other stuff, but I feel like I should at least give it a try. For the most part, there's nothing you can get from your own crafting that you couldn't get from work orders. There's the benefit to potions/phials from Alchemy, or maybe the unique dagger transmog from Tailoring.

I don't see any huge changes in 10.1 aside from the crafting system being extended to cover the higher item level that'd change too much.

@vivid steeple You need to hold specific PvP titles from Vanilla rated battlegrounds in order to purchase stuff from this NPC: "If you get a "Item is locked" error it is because you do not have the Feat of Strength for Legionnaire/Knight-Captain or higher under the old PvP system.
These vendors sell transmogrifiable exact replicas of the otherwise untransmogrifiable lev 60 pvp gear from the honor vendors."

If you'd like guidance with the questlines /hubs for any given zone, I recommend the addon "BtW Quests" and its parts based on which expansion you're focusing on. It helps you make sure you've cleared everything

There's nothing wrong starting a toon on a server you wouldn't otherwise play to test whether you like it, then deleting it if it doesn't win you over. My personal rule is to not have more toons than I can maintain, especially if all need something from a holiday. If I'm overwhelmed, it's time to downsize

also the privacy thing was most likely ElvUI and it involved people who had literally zero clue what they were looking at seeing code that was a practical joke inside one guild blowing it out of proportion. it would have taken a guild in another region with the exact same name with a player with the exact same name as was in the code and also all the guild using ElvUI with that literal code to be even able to be used

I'd honestly be more worried about TSM sending sales figures etc to generate AH values than ElvUI these days and I happily use TSM and send them sales figures 😄

I completly missed Zereth Mortis when it was current and i missed out on using the creation catalyst as a collector for transmog pieces (different tints of the Sepulcher gear).

no worries, it's from zones later on in Legion expansion that you'll need to unlock. then once there it's from random chests and killing rare monsters

good news is once you're capped out you'll be able to one shot most things outside raids there so it'll be quite fast but probably heavily reliant on RNG

You'll have to use the group finder to look for custom groups in the Legacy Raids section. It's recommended to stick to one crafting profession that works for your character and one gathering profession to support it. Use professions you're going to stick with so that you won't have to go through the annoying and expensive process of relearning skills and recipes when swapping professions

sort of, the issue in DF is you also can drop "knowledge" items too while in DF getting to 70

as long as you don't mind them being wasted and remember to not use the Dragon Shards before swapping at 70 it's not too bad

if you're used to the two till cap and get some gold and mats then that's viable, as Gumball says though one craft + supporting gather is just as good as the levelling is that fast you don't really end up with massive amounts of mats anyway these days

The new starting zone, Exile's Reach, takes you to your capital city at level 10 when you are able to start BFA or Chromie Time. It directs you to both options when applicable. Most of the people in world first races and MDI have careers and families and limited playtime. The game is specifically designed to be entry-level casual, people who have played for less than a month are in mythic dungeons, and there really is no true GRIND anymore unless you artificially make one for yourself

yeah, it also helped by cloth is cheap and there's a weekly quest for Tailors to make 3 items for orders so most folk send their Tailor alt a request for 3 bags and then just sell them on the AH after it's done 😄

According to your spec you should run it just fine. I'm using an i7 9700 (only 2 more cores and never operating at full capacity) 32gb ram (I've never seen more that 12gb being used) and a 3050 gpu and running dragonflight maximum graphic settings. Your setup should work fine.

You're high enough level to get it. WoW does not require you to complete earlier expansions to continue to the next one, just that you're the appropriate level.

Altho since you're new, you should avoid making a Death Knight, Demon Hunter, or Evoker simply because these are "hero classes" that have a higher level and a unique starting experience that IS NOT THE SAME as the Exile's Reach starting tutorial experience, which teaches you a lot about how to play the game
