Yea I've already progressed some of it got keybinds and a bunch of YouTube guides for demon hunter so I know a least a little bit of everything just got mixed results because some people geared up before progressing and some people just progressed

Are addons a huge advantage in endgame content? I'm more or less a new player. I played through the campaign of shadowlands and am now returning. My previous experience with addons was just UI stuff mostly, I just wanted to move stuff around. The new DF UI customization solves that problem for me. But I see so many people say they can't live without weak auras and such. I tried out a whole slew of imported WAs and stuff and still find myself looking at my ability bar at the bottom of the screen where I like it anyways. I have most of the screen open and free from clutter, I just like to appreciate the game and what's actually happening in the combat. I suppose all of this is subjective but it seems like I'm shooting myself in the foot for not downloading things like DBM and stuff because I want to learn the mechanics and just experience it, even if I take more damage and my healers hate me. I'm sure this extends to PVP as well. I did enjoy 3v3 arenas in SLs. Just looking for opinions here I guess, since I plan on doing mythic keys and rated pvp again eventually...

Thank you for your reply. That page is for Paladin instead of Warrior, but I must say it's a bit friendlier since it actually gives you a rotation with skills that a low-level character has. So kudos to the writer for that!

Yes, because BFA is now the default. You'd only get Shadowlands dungeons if you were in Shadowlands Chromie Time

If they're new to the system and they only pull up the main map to see which zone the Hunt is currently taking place, it won't appear in that zone unless you change the map view level. It's understandable how that could be overlooked when it's a new thing

It doesn't exactly work like that. For most of the game there's no "main storyline" and you don't play it through the expansions start to finish like some other MMOs. The old content is still there and you can play it when you want more or less, but the idea is to generally get caught up with what's happening right now. You only need to play current content to be able to do current content, which makes it so that people who start playing now can do endgame stuff with everyone else without having to play through 18 years of videogame first

If you want more activity, consider playing on a high/full pop RP realm. Even if you don't RP, plenty of people prefer it for the different community type and due to sharding not being a thing (outside of being turned on for big events) so you end up seeing more people on the map instead of split up for performance

If you're using Chromie Time to scale the content 10-60 it's good. Some older expansions zones like Outland, Northrend, the Eastern Kingdoms, and Kalimdor can take longer though merely due to the format of the quests and how spread out they are due to age

The differences in stats and bonuses from racials are incredibly minimal and situational, so really just go for the one you like the most and has a utility racial you'd enjoy using

Hello. As a new player who wants to PVP should I get a full set of honor gear, enchant/socketing it, and then level it up before buying conquest gear? I don't think I can just hop into rated PVP without conquest gear. Also, do the enchantments go away if you upgrade a piece of honor gear? in case this was an actual question: Pvp in open world is enabled/disabled by your warmode setting. The world basically has 2 phases in which pvp is either on or off. with warmode you switch between those phases

Also there are two PVP types: Open World PVP which is faction vs faction, and PVP Zones where faction doesn't matter and its open to everyone. Both will be flagged for you unless you're grouped with someone.

World PVP events can give you Bloody Tokens (and those crate drops). They can be turned in for gear as well. It can't be upgraded, but its got a higher starting ilvl than the honor gear.

Once you hit level 50 you can start something called Chromie Time on your main and all alts if you want. Chromie Time lets you play through an expansion for your entire 1-60 if you want.

So if you want to get a feel for the expansions that came before you can just Chromie Time in on alts (i recommend alts just so you have a reason to do it not JUST for story) and play through it while power leveling yourself

Yeah, both factions have Chromie in their capital cities and when you talk to her (you also run into her in Dragonflight for a good chunk of a series) she gives you the option to start a legacy campaign and when you select it you'll be told how to start the campaign. So you can experience most of what you may have missed.

read the comment on the wowhead website, you can add up to 3 sockets to any necklace with it, regardless of how many sockets it already has. if it has 0, you have to use the item 3x, if it already has one like yours does, you only need to use it twice. use middle quality first to save money.

If you don't know how to play WoD content efficiently, you won't level in it any faster than somewhere else

Defenitly download BtWQuests and use chromie. Chromie overrides all enemy scaling so they're your leve, then you can progress through whatever expansion you pick with her using BtWQuests to track the questlines.

Just learned of BtW myself and it's a godsend.

pvp gear question: the passive item level boost... does it actually boost the items stats? i thought the implication was yes but its a bit confusing with the Upgrade system. Upgrading an Honor item boosts the base stats & base item level, but doesnt change the effect of the item level boost. i have to assume upgrading does in fact improve the gear in pvp mode, but what about the item level boost?

@here So I'm trying to send mail on a level 50 character I have and the quest "Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons" keeps popping up and I can't Accept it or Decline it and it pops up after maybe 1 or 2 seconds and I can literally do nothing in the game.
