Maybe a couple K? I don't know how much XP it gave. I did it at 25 as a horde warrior and it took about 4 hours becasue of the running and ganking. The stages in the wetlands took a long time to get to. I also never went to any of the Eastern Kingdom while leveling to 25 in phase 1, so it took longer than it may have if you started there.

Theres a client for classic and classic progression, so vanilla/hardcore/SoD and then classic that is progressing through expansions

On progression, we are at wrath right now with cata coming out in summer, but you can do any old content from TBC and vanilla that hasnt been removed

I dont really have a recommendation for what to do. SoD will be a bit more approachable because of the XP and gold boost buff, but wrath is fine too. Regular classic is very slow and grindy, so idk if youre into that

for someone new to WoW and getting ready for cata, should i go warr or dk? I plan to raid and pvp

Warrior since they have better mobility then DK plus they can use 2handed swords which makes then more useful in pvp cuz they get 75% heading reduction which is huge so there very op pair with a healer but DK is more fun to grind and has a better dps dmg output then warrior does in every way but isn’t great at pvp cuz ranged will destroy DK since warriors can just charge at the casters and stun them for few seconds which DK can’t not do, but DK has silence but gotta time it right to stun the caster but it’s very hard to do so.

My conclusion if you want a easier time doing pvp go for Fury warrior but if you want a class that can deal high dmg output against people and is more fun to lvl up with go for DK

But remember DK can dual wield 2H sword

But for raid people want more DK for the dmg output they can do since warrior tank isn’t being that popular in raids ur better off going for fury but warrior tank is very strong in dungeons runs

So In my opinion when it comes to end content I would say DK if ur going for dps they deal 3% more dmg then furry but if you want a tank go for warrior that’s my take on it

Mages are very strong dps caster but only problem is that there glass cannon so you always constantly have to watch ur health

So my opinion if you want melee I suggest hunter since there the best Meele dps rn, if you want a good balance dps warlock or priest are ur choices, if you wanna do massive incoming dmg go for mages, if you wanna do pvp and troll go for rogues @twin jetty

In the 11.0 beta test, there are many mechanical issues with Arms Warrior that are uncomfortable. Here are some examples along with corresponding modification suggestions:

1. Anger Management rage cycle is slow, and Test of Might has very low quality. The reason is that rage generation and consumption were previously nerfed, but these two talents were not simultaneously enhanced. This is a sign of careless design.

2. Ravager is reluctant to synergize with Avatar. The Arms Warrior talents are entirely the original talents from the early 10.0 version, without the kind of revamps and meticulous design that classes like Mage, Paladin, Death Knight, and Rogue have received. This results in Arms Warrior spending a lot of burst phase time using Overpower and Bladestorm, leading to rage overflow, while in the steady phase, rage is scarce, which is very foolish. It is recommended to give Arms Warrior a skill similar to Fire Blast, which could be Focused Rage. This way, rage can be utilized out of GCD without foolishly using non-rage skills. Additionally, Avatar should synergize with Ravager. The Mage's bottom-level talent Combustion increases damage by 60% and greatly reduces Combustion's cooldown, whereas the Warrior's bottom-level benefit might not even be 1% (Avatar triggers 5 seconds of weakened Recklessness). The degree of thoughtful design between these two classes is vastly different.

3. The set T32 mechanism is very good because consuming rage is meaningful. In reality, rage skills as resource-consuming finishing skills should be much stronger than Overpower, but the current design is completely wrong. Two solutions: (1) Add a non-GCD Focused Rage that consumes rage to enhance Mortal Strike. (2) Add additional effects to rage-consuming skills like Slam, such as enhancing the next Mortal Strike based on the rage consumed this time.

4. Please note, we do not need to use Overpower repeatedly during the burst phase. We need to consume resources to use finishing skills, which should be much more meaningful than Overpower. This design has not been thoughtfully considered at all.

It seems like the bluepost doesn't specifically mention opening new servers but the wowhead article says definitely that they're opening two new servers which is causing some confusion.

1. Diablo 4 is a AARPG with a shared open world. That is where the similarities end. Diablo seasonal content is a complete reset every time, meaning you start from 1 with nothing all over again. This doesn't happen with WoW or MMOs in general.

2. Classic was released in 2019.

3. Classic is the game as it was when the game first launched back in 2004. TWW aka, Retail WoW, is the game that started in 2004, with 20 years of content, QoL, graphical updates and enhancements, modernized gameplay philosophy more ways to play the game, etc.

I would suggest playingbthe free trial first before you spend any money. You can play for free up to and including level 20. If you are enjoying that, grab a Sub to start with and level to 70, experience the game, experiment with different classes/races, play through older content

If you enjoy all that, THEN, buy the latest Expansion to play that. Do not feel forced into the latest content from the get go.

Also when you first create a character, make sure to pick Exiles Reach when prompted. It is the games Tutorial island, designed to teach you the basics of the game and your class.

And your first time through the game, just do the quests the game gives you, it will give you a better experience. You can always go back later and do things you've missed

hi everyone I'm new to the discord, I played night elf druid back in 2008-2010 on a PVE realm. A few months ago I recovered my account and tried out both cata classic and retail. I had a lot of fun with cata classic but the imbalanced economy and lack of horde to pvp battleground with was annoying. I really didnt get into retail but I tried, just too overwhelming I guess.

I'm super excited for classic fresh coming up next week but I'm trying to decide whether to play PVP or PVE. I don't know what it's like playing on a PVP realm but I do know I really loved queueing into battlegrounds, especially warsong gulch below level 19. any suggestions?

back in the days of classic there was a limit to how many debuffs could be on a target so some classes we asked not to use debuffs in a raid setting since it would take place of a spell that would do more damage from someone else. dual spec is the ability to have two preset specs that you can swap between out in the world rather than having to go to your trainer and pay 1g-50g everytime. in classic that cost adds up rather quickly

there is literally like 4 versions of the game now and classic itself has like 4 different option to play

additionally ive been playing a new character on a realm in classic for the past week and now everybody seems to be moving to some newly opened realms so the realm im in seems to have lost a lot of players

Hey, there are six ways of playing wow right now:

The classic Era servers: Realms that have a plenty of time online but they are vanilla (lvl 60 max and vanilla content only), like 1 yr or older.

Classic Anniversary Server: This is a "Remastered Version" of vanilla (optimal for new users experience that want to dive in the lore of wow), these realms are like 1 week old and fresh, these will be progressive to tbc, etc, etc. if you want to experience wow, this should be a good time to do so.

Classic Cataclysm: In these realms the expansion right now is Cataclsym, so, it contains, vanilla, tbc, wotlk, and cata.

Hardcore Classic: This is vanilla wow, but if you die you cant revive and have to be migrated to a classic era servers.

Season of Discovery: Its kinda an experimental vanilla for now, and its future is uncertain but is cool too if you have already played vanilla for a while (but i think it dont worth for new players).

Retail (The war within): Latest Expansion of wow, contains whole game, but the past game content (from dragonflight and back) you will not experience it as it was in its moment. That's why classic wow exists.

My personal advice is play anniversary, right now is so fresh and also the economy in the AH is healthy, in this version the wow developer team added group finder and eventually they will add content that community asks badly like dual talent.

1. Don't use Zygor. It is effectively an illegal addon because you actually have to pay for the full thing

2. You don't need a leveling addon for Classic. Part of the fun of Classic is the journey to 60. The leveling/questing process if quite literally half the game in Classic.
