It was because a lot of stuff wasn't impacted by the TBC expansion... so we went with what was more likely to be useful overall, considering we couldn't review all comments. You can report comments that you think aren't relevant to Classic, which is the case for some of them as you noticed.

On the TBC promotional mount, can it be specified in the post that Mount speed training/mount cost were flipped in TBC to where the mounts are now 90g not 900g, tons of people getting really upset because they think it "saves" them from having to farm 900g for the mount, when in reality the training is the expensive one when tbc hits.

Recently started to get pop ups of "fake virus", "lotterie scams" ect... on Wowhead and Wowhead only. I am on a brand new device I got less than 24 hours ago and like I said it happens only on Wowhead. It happens pretty frequently and browser was not used for anything else than Wowhead since I got it so I can't have an adware (I also am very very careful with anything I do on any devices). I don't know if it is directly related to the website but it is definitly unpleasent and I would rather know a little more. As I can see in #no-wow-discussion, @obsidian hollow has been getting them too

Really depends on the Anti-virus tbh. most are using some level of heuristics now so it could be any number of things that triggered it. Generally when this happens from a source I know is probably not infected I just whitelist the file.

I'm not sure you realize just how much your community hates these guides if you are willing to wait till Monday to deal with this. On the TBC sub-site there are only 18 guides that have gotten enough votes to show a rating. Combined these two guides have 75% of all counted votes for TBC guides, and they are virtually all 1 star votes. Also boosting is a very grey area in game. You will find a lot of the gold that earned by boosters goes into the gold selling market. There have been so many discussions from members of my guild talking about their experiences with boosters and when they talk to them they find out they are from third world countries and have never actually played the game for enjoyment, but are in fact selling the gold as their source of income.

This does not encourage real money trading boosting is here in the game. Many people farm gold then use the gold to boost their own characters. The guide simply gives players advise on the fastest way to lvl which boosting is. Of course there is third world boosters selling gold for income it’s always been like that. But it doesn’t mean everyone is using real money trading and gold selling.

We're still working on TBC client character data info on the site side. Classic should still be working, but if you moved the Classic character to TBC that won't work yet. You can safely delete the character on the Classic site if you moved it to TBC.

Okay, we haven't enabled the character profiles yet for TBC. We're still working on a few things but that's where they'll be shown once enabled. Any character no longer on Classic won't receive any updates on the Classic site, you can safely delete them from there. Once we enable some things (when we're finished) your character data will be displayed as you saw on Classic. Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime!

It's doing that when you're trying to find the path or when you click 'Launch WoW'. The Launch WoW button can be ignored, just use the launcher. If it's a path issue, just manually navigate the row in your options to the correct .exe for TBC and it'll work.

Well, thats says that wowhead should remove "removed from game" flag when drops are found in new uploads, it doesnt however say how are "remove from game" flags assigned at first place. And how are items removed from npc drop lists. Thats why the possibility to see drop tables based on game version (or at least expansion) would be helpful.

Information about something getting back into game is nice, but information about something not being obtainable is more crucial to prevent needless farming.

Hello! Is there a way to search the database for vendors that sell items for Reservoir Anima? I searched for Reservoir Anima as a currency and got the list of items that you can buy for it, but there are over 500 results so I can't see them all at one time. That and that's a LOT of items to look through and see if I've obtained them yet. It would be so much easier if I could get a list of vendors that have anima items for sale, and then visit each vendor to see what I'm still missing. Is there a search that would accomplish that? The level requirement of the spell itself is not related to when a trainer can give it to you. This spell has a level 1 requirement in the game files, which means a level 1 can use it if they found a way to obtain the spell. This is the same thing as a quest reward having a level requirement lower than the level you get the quest, like earning a helm that requires level 10 but you need to be level 12 to even be offered the quest.

@potent fog The formula is a bit different for level 1-19 mobs. If I remember it right:

Levels 1-10: skinning 1
Level 11: skinning 10
Levels 12-19: +10 per level
Level 20: skinning 100, and the formula switches to +5 per level.

Thus you needed skinning 300 to skin a level 60 mob, and you needed skinning knife +15 to skin a level 63 Beast from Blackrock. From TBC onwards you can skin anything with unaided skinning, if your skill is high enough.

Hello. I'm trying to set up the Wowhead News Webhook for my Discord server. I am the owner of the server.
I navigated to https://www.wowhead.com/webhook, clicked the 'Normal Images' in the Retail WoW News which opened another tab where i chose my Discord server, and the appropriate channel.

When i return to the https://www.wowhead.com/webhook tab, it says 'Could not identify webhook from response.', but when i navigate to Integrations on my Discord Server a Wowhead-News is listed under the 'Bots and Apps' section.
If i click on it to 'Manage' it, it shows 1 Webhook with the correct channel but unfortunately it does not seem to work.

I added Jeeves to my server as the page suggested, and added the webhook through that. While it partly solves my problem (Getting the wow news), i only wanted a subset of Wowhead News, so i would still appreciate a resolution of my question πŸ™‚

Is there any other way to add it, or to add it manually?

Discord's most recent API deploy broke the ability to add new webhooks via OAuth, which is how we do it. One of their devs posted in the bug (https://github.com/discord/discord-api-docs/issues/3057) about 25 minutes ago saying they'll fix it in the next deploy, but we have no idea when that will be.

I'm staff over at the /r/android discord, and we have a bot that we use in our popular channels to give quick macros and what not. An example would be, we type ?ask and our bot responds instantly with "Don't ask to ask, just ask your question"..

We also have a macro for how to ask for help, and we can use it in the various help channels for common problems, like when someone asks for "tips about the game".. this massive game with millions of pathways to choose from, etc..

Client data is processed in batches, it is not in real time. They're usually processed a few times a month, depending on how much data is received. We also have data thresholds that have to be met before it's added to the site. For example, 5 occurrences out of 50,000 might not be displayed at all. Just depends on how large the table already is and a number of other variables the data team assigns.

Please continue to upload data, cumulatively, over time... the community as a whole helps to improve the overall data of the site that can't be datamined or found in an API. Thank you!

It'd be better with a different background for that skin but that is outside my abilities. All I did in this case was force the text color, which would normally be automatic, but automatic on the Thottbot skin is black. So thankfully the change won't be very noticeable anywhere else.

The Gear Planner has broken calculations for Druid AP gains from Predatory Strikes. It should increase AP by 150% of level at 70 (105 AP) but instead is increasing overall AP by 150%.

I'm having an issue with the Attunement Tracker for the Karazhan Attunement, the wowhead client uploads my progress but for Karazhan Attunement, it doesn't record me having step 02 Flying Mount. But I definitely have a flying mount in the game. When I check it off on the Wowhead website and the client does another upload the flying mount part of Karazhan gets reset to unchecked. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix?

Hello! I don't know if here is the place to ask or give notice or whatever, but I am in a bind because retweeting the WoWhead TBC giveaway posts apparently got my account suspended. I had no other tweets or private messages (I just use it to browse and like things for later) so the only issue is retweeting the giveaway posts. I saw a few others mention they got suspended on twitter as well for this. Does this happen usually due to these types of giveaways and, regardless, is there any advice I can be given?

This is the first time we've heard of this behavior but over 6,000 people successfully entered but only a handful of reports like these. Unfortunately I don't know what happened here, if it's something Gleam is doing new, or Twitter, or both... but we don't have any control over it sadly.

Anyone here struggle with the wowhead bot in your discord. It is added, has full permissions, and everything is setup (dataset, language, etc.) but doesn’t work when you type in an item, NPC, ability (ie [Blinkstrike]). The wowhead webnook does work however and posts news all the time

Make it so we can fullscreen a twitch embed in articles please. It's way too small both in 1080p and 2k. I'm on Chrome, also tried on Firefox and doesn't work either.
On Firefox it does gray out the fullscreen icon, which shows it's by design, I just don't understand the point of blocking that.

fullscreen toggle on twitch embeds should be enabled sometime today. it wasn't a matter of disabling it intentionally, we just needed to tell the embed to allow it.

as far as the "twitch" button "not working", i could not replicate this issue. Clicking the "twitch" logo in the bottom right of the embed brought up the clip page as intended in both firefox and chrome.

I have to log in again on my phone, but it just gives me "Internal error" whenever I do.
And the "Register" page just gives an error page whenever I try going to that.
Tried closing and opening both wowhead and my browser, as well as clearing all cookies and such, but still the same thing.

But ye, not sure if that is wowhead or on my end.
