Mostly, the current major complaint aside from the recent lawsuit scandal at the company is that a lot of the more suggestive and divisive content is being removed/changed

But really, it's best to just play and form your own opinion. If you don't like the game, don't play it, and if you do that's great too because there are still a lot of people very passionate about it

And ofc there's been a bit of a content drought/delay between patches, and that always flares up attitudes

If you played before the Shadowlands launch, there's been a stat squish to bring the max level down to 60 and the leveling system has been overhauled. The default leveling path from 10-50 is in the BfA expansion content, and once you have one character to 50 you get access to the Chromie Time feature on future characters that allows you to select the expansion of your choice for leveling 10-50, so you don't have to do a little of each expansion hopping around while leveling anymore. 50-60 is in the current Shadowlands expansion
