Well, hearthstone stuff is technically canon in WoW, story wise
But yes, it seems that most of the time it's artist interpretations and a lot of people will argue endlessly that the distinction of a werewolf is that it doesn't have a tail but Warcraft worgen aren't true werewolves. They're druidically linked, so there's no real reason they should not have tails.
So I believe it should at least eventually be an option

That's also an issue I've found, and werewolves going back to their folklore, there's many different types and even versions WITH tails. As it's also folklore, it's probably been altered hundreds of times, so it's difficult to have solid evidence for what is the original or the warped. Either way, I'm not dismissing there are tailless versions too. My point is: would it really hurt giving them tails? Look at how much say night elves got vs worgen. Not including their human choice as that is not usable within combat, iirc it was also an illusion basically, of who they used to be. And you can call me bias cause worgen pfp idm xd

i had a 3d printer once that came as a kit
it came with a typical computer power cord but you had to cut off the computer end and wrap the wires around screw terminals
