It feels fast and smooth, especially on controllers, with a quick TTK and awesome destruction from the Engineer class. For me personally, the gunplay is too simple with low recoil and spotty accuracy, somewhat like Battlefield 2042 or Call of Duty.

How this gameplay work

You have a leader as a unit and they must be on top of the castle

There is can recuit unit for gold price and unit you recuit will have an upkeeps that upkeep is by the amount of gold you earn beginning of your turn and enemy turn

You can earn more gold income on your upkeep if you take over a house in the game by move the unit to the house but it will end your unit turn

Example

I have 20 gold I earn every turn and my total gold I have is 100 gold

I hire a human mage that cost 20 gold and now my upkeep gold income is now 19 gold I will get next turn and my total gold is 80 gold

Combat wise in this game is goes by % for range and melee physical (unless they have markmanship or arcane as their abilities)

Magic on the other hand will always be 70% hit chance no matter what terrain your unit land on

And this game terrain matter a lot

Even on certain unit

Example

elf fighter level 1 unit

They have 4 chance to hit and their damage is 5 damage which can total up to 20 damage for melee

Range they have 3 chance for 3 damage with a possible of total 9 damage

When in trees or forest terrains their avoid increased by 30% but their hit are 60% to hit the enemy yet when enemy try to hit them they will have 30% to hit them with the number swing they have available
