General wowhead question!: everytime I load up wowhead on my computer it slows down and then crashes my web browser. no other website does this. any solutions? it takes about 5 minutes of wowhead being up for the browser to slow, then my computer, and then browser crashes. My solution so far has been go to task manager, end-task on the browser, re-open browser and then Don't touch wowhead. And when I want to look at something on wowhead I just open it for about 1 minute max and then close that tab

you can essentially do this already with any internet connected ai. if it isnt just a pretrained model but can actual search up to date info on the net then it has that capability but it would take you modifying the existing models to search only wowhead, but with prompts alone you might be able to as well. ive asked ai about stuff like service interuptions before and it looked at current forum comments to determine there was none that could be correlated to a certain region or timeframe and was likely user specific and not blizzard. so you can kinda already

I expected wowhead to block direct prompts with robots.txt hence it would only return the links rather than the actual information.

That’s why I was curious if there is a direct connection as crawling the entire wowhead data base isn’t something you can easily achieve. It’s technically possible but the volume is probably huge

I’ll probably look into langchain and try to extract the text of some links through beautfilsoup. Maybe I can feed this into gpt

Did a little research, so I could simply use html crawler to retrieve the data, chunk it cause GPT3.5 only supports 4096 tokens and transform it into vectors that I can store in a data base 🙂 I am just concerned that my RAM will not be sufficient to do the similarity checks 😄

Until Earth and Foundation (and even then, Trevisze know his response was already chosen and that the whole chosen one is not), the key characters are not changing the fate of the galaxy, simply more or less understanding the Seldon plan.

Depends on the person, really. It can be pretty grindy, like any MMO, but whether someone get addicted is really up to the kind of personality they have.

All race, class, and spec combinations are viable for all forms of content and the best one is going to be the one you're better at playing and enjoy the most. Death Knights, Demon Hunters, and Evokers are the only classes not recommended for new/inexperienced players solely because they lack a proper starting tutorial experience for the game itself. Experiment with different classes and specs until you find the playstyle that clicks with you the most.
I would recommend looking for a guild or community by advertising yourself as a player while also responding to guild advertisements in the appropriate Looking For Guild channels here in this server, in dedicated LFG servers or the appropriate channels on other community discord servers, using the ingame Guild & Community Finder window, on your realm's Trade and General channels, on the official forums page for your realm, and even on the appropriate sections of raider.io or wowprogress.

It’s definitely something they know people want but they’re not going to add a system that 1. Isn’t going to integrate into the game loop somehow, and 2. Isn’t evergreen so it needs to be scalable and functional across the life of the game, and 3. Isn’t only available to wealthy players like in FFXIV, but also not overwhelmingly affordable to the point that wealthy players can just immediately do everything (which means it needs its own currency)
