IHey everyone, I need help!
For some reason, I can't use the "Upload Audio" feature on Suno anymore. It used to work perfectly until yesterday, but now I can't upload any MP3 files – nothing happens when I try.

I'm using Chrome on Android, and I already tried:

Giving full file permissions

Clearing the browser cache

Moving the files to different folders

Restarting the phone

Even trying another browser

Still nothing works.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Or does anyone have a solution?

As other people have already mentioned, upload with vocal-like sounds detected and their derivatives disables the creation of personas and cannot be switched to public mode. Likely due to impersonation concerns.

If you have a singer profile you would like to use for consistency (e.g. for an AI Idol), you will want to look into vocal cloning or vocal swapping programs which can replaces the singer in the song with the vocal model file you have. For your own vocal model file to use in conjunction with those programs, please look up RVC Models

Ah, that explains a lot. You cannot use copyrighted songs in your upload, not only is it against Suno TOS but also against the laws of several countries.

Even if the song is not from your country, they may have signed an international copyright treaties... so, yeah, best not to do that, esp. considering you can get sued up to $150,000 USD per copyright infringement in US Court (and China has signed the international copyright treaty so...yeah...)

I'm using the web browser version, and I can use all of the features we still have, including the new ones, but NOTHING is where it used to be; the UI has undergone a complete overhaul. Plus all the new features... it's possible that it's just a temporary technical snafu. I mean, frankly, I am suprised anything works at all right now, with how much they altered all at once. I'm very cautiously exploring stuff now, but I'm likely to take it real slow over the next few days to give them time to chase off any gremlins that may have made their way into the system.

To compare. Its hard to repeat the issue for mine. I uploaded a 5 minutes wav and 3 minute mp3 with no issues of songs with vocals. This hints it would not be a systems issue. What it is , is unknown and my having no issue doesnt prove anything.

Using the Persona to use the vocals for a new song takes the original song the persona came from and copies the exact song into a remix which is super annoying. I want to use the vocal persona but it takes and copies the song it came from. How to prevent it from duplicating the song?

Yep. I sent a feedback note regarding the v4.5 personas issue. It’s taking the entire track, including melodies and lyrics and applying it wholesale to new tracks as opposed to “spirit” of it.

I will say, it was nice to just Cover a song with about 10 minor lyric changes, with no persona, no remaster. Allowing for a 5 minute song to be reduced to 4 minutes 22 wasnt a bad trade off for a pleasant result that I can extend an additional chorus if I feel like it.

I used the new song editor last night. Cropped a segment and saved it as a new song. The segment was saved. The full song still plays in full outside the editor. I now went back to edit the full song and all that's saved in the editor is the segment!!
I had to download the song and upload it back to retrieve the missing parts!! But the syntax/lyrics are all messed up and cannot be corrected.

Edit: I just realized that, thankfully, since I had used the "extend" function, I'm able to use "get whole song" from "part 2" to regenerate my song back. 😰🙏
Now I just hope every edit saves as a different file and doesn't overwrite without a backup version.

Not really. Any cover you would have had to obtain a mechanical license yourself, for instance. Most do not, so in the end, Suno only want things we own exclusively, and that no one else has access to, basically. Anything from covers to nursery rhymes, ABC song to the Happy Birthday song.

In turn Suno couldn't have known and published material , in any form, to "taint" their training data, so they have to be strict about this.

It's less a legal thing and more a TOS thing. Suno isn't even allowing things in the public domain. The terms of service are clear. You must have sole rights to what you use.

So it's not about whether or not you can cover something with compulsory licensing. It's that Suno's terms of service don't allow it. That's it.

And I say that as someone who used to enjoy doing songs with lyrics from the public domain. But as has been made clear to me recently, it's all about the terms of service. And the terms are clear.

you'll notice as you click and drag there are safe zones, which are mostly likely what youre looking for if you want to get the same types of results you would have had before the sliders

By the way: when you record a bunch of tracks of a guitar, then a piano, then bass, then vocals..... and stack them all up to play the song as a whole, those are like the limbs of the whole tree, they are the individual stems that make up the whole song. If we want to make a small change to guitar, for example, we only have to change one track or "stem" at that point.

Suno is using that concept to call these "stems" even if there were never the initial tracks in the original output. So Suno deconstructs out the individual instruments and vocals. At this point, we can then download the tracks , modify them and hope to reconstruct them back into a song.

Not directed at anything specific: if you have separate stems/tracks, you typically only need to select the stems/tracks you wish to combine.

Each program may be slightly different in how you select your tracks.

Its more a generic notice if its filtering you from making a persona based on something referenced in the content. May not be your case, but often that shows up if we upload an audio with vocals.

Something I noticed last night while playing with sliders is that when I tried to cover older v4 songs, it would only cover half the song and then fade out after about the second chorus. Is anyone else seeing this?

If so, how are you handling it? I’m considering if it’s possible to crop the original song, cover each half, and reassemble.

Extend might work too but I’d rather not risk the second half being changed too much

The right arrow is your placemark if you use the Edit UI page which you seem to be using. Position where you want. Add lyrics in the lyric panel.

We can also just click Edit in the [ . . . ]menu of our song and then Extend to go to the Remix panel. The extend box will be at the top with the waveform of the song. Text in the timemark spot from where you wish to extend. A strong suggestion to back the timemark up a second or few, but you'd decide where would sounds good. Add in your lyrics if any, as well as any new prompts in the style box. Click. Remix.

You can remaster in 4.5 then try Covering with no persona, no prompts, only lyrics if preferred. Provided you have about a 4 minute song, Cover might give back a 4 minute song and clean up the 4.5 similar to 4.0 remaster, with the idea there may be some small changes or fills added.

Ever considered the fact that an AI such as Suno requires a ton of resources to run, and that in order to further develop it into becoming better, sometimes, some functions just have to go to give room for new things. I see reddit (and discord) being flooded with people who are just absolutely livid because they removed the v4 remaster function. For reference, just google search how much electrical power ChatGPT uses whenever a user says "Thank you" to ChatGPT. And ChatGPT is just generating text and images most of the time. Suno have to store insane amounts of generated tracks on their servers so, I wouldn't be surprised if their service gets a little bumpy at times.

I personally haven't used remastering into v4 all that much because so far, results have been just as random as generating a completely new song with model 4.5.

I am happy that they are atleast exploring new ways to improve the system as a whole, even though there obviously are, and will be bumps in the road along the way. I think people should just be a bit more patient with the devs.

I am still completely blown away by the fact that there are tools out there such as Suno that can generate music - and pretty darn good music at that, with just the click of a button.

Remember - creating music used to require multiple people knowing how to play an actual instrument, someone had to sit down and actually write sheetmusic on paper and then translate that into something that we would call music.

Just because I'm curious if my theory on it maybe using prior song data to generate forward on the song if maybe its just picking up artifacts in with that prior data (That start small and almost unnoticeable) but because of this its essentially doubling those every time it uses that past information like a snowball effect.

Suno's generation model is weird, You can remaster the same song 40 times and somehow get 40 versions all with noticable varying quality and even ones that sound absolutely perfect at the start, you skip the end and it sounds like a hollow mess with the vocals being swallowed by what I can only assume is generational model covid lol

I'd be stunned if v4 remastering returned. The reasoning they tried to foist on us was a bit lame though when it was dumped almost certainly because their code seems to be way more tightly coupled/poorly architected than they need it to be - given that they broke v4 remasters briefly around May 23rd when they released some changes to v4.5 covers (and 30 years of experience as a software architect), I feel really confident saying that.

It's pretty clear that they don't have any QA guardrails in place and don't want the maintenance hassle.

Yeah that reasoning was 100% pure BS, and I'm kinda convinced at this point they may not know what causes it or how to fix it, or if they do it would require so much work at this point it probably will never get done or fixed all together.

It's definitely not prompting related. It feels like they randomly run the "completed" track through some post-processing as you can get most of these (awful) results if you randomly turn knobs in a DAW.

It's a problem they've always had - at least in the 18 months I've been using Suno. I don't know what their software development process is, but from the outside, it looks like it's extremely immature. Almost every time they release, there are breaking changes somewhere - breaking changes that would be extremely easy to prevent if they just did a reasonable level of regression testing somewhere in their workflow.

But hey, You can always do what I do and take a track you're having issues with from Suno, if you're a starter member on Riff and its less than 4m, just upload it to riff, paste your lyrics in if you have any, do a cover, and change the cover strength slider down to like 10%, just enough for it to work its magic, no prompts or styles just song, lyrics, slider at 10, works perfect almost everytime.

I'm also facing the same issue, I'm really disappointed with the new Advanced Options feature. It's not working as expected. I’ve tried so many different combinations, but ended up wasting nearly 1000 credits on poor-quality songs.

In many cases, there’s no music at all, and over 90% of the songs completely ignore the instructions provided. This feels like another feature that was pushed out without proper testing, leaving Pro and Premier users to act as unpaid testers—burning through credits and time just to provide feedback.

This rollout is frustrating and feels unfair to paying users. I hope the team takes this feedback seriously and fix this issue.

Tried the new editor to replace a section where the AI mispronounced the word "dueled". Not a good expirence and did not end up being able to sucessfully use this new verion of replace section. I am trying to create a song with contrasting dual vocals, both male and female, singing separately at times and together at other times. This is proving to be exceptionally challenging and frustrating for me as I have spent many hours editing now and researching the best way to type of the lyrics with all of the appropriate prompts to no avail. It always appears to be completely random 😩.

Other times when a verse is clearly annotated as [Female] it will be the Males voice and the one labeled [Male] will end up being the female voice.

This is killing me and I would appreciate any assistance very much 🙏🏼.

Welcome to making duets endeavor! It's never easy! There's no best way or definite way!
Those are the things you'd have to deal with in the process of making them!
Using tags [Male] [Female], specify duet in the style, Extend, Replace Section..etc.. are all possible tools but they're not perfect.
Unless one got lucky at generations, be ready to waste many credits and many hours!

Duets have long been a recurring question in Suno. With all the new features that just came out, there's probably new totally new methods to make great Duets that are mostly done in post-production, or at least, done as a second step after the initial full song audio is generated.

I tested this duet prompt a bit just now. If you remove all the brackets from the lyrics, even verse and chorus tags, just the raw lyrics and that style prompt still generate Duets. I thought even "duet" in style prompt may not be needed, but it does seem to have a pretty significant effect, at least on the small sample size I just did.

Last Duet test: Without Duet in the style prompt (without any style prompt) duets very reliable with lyrics formatting like a duet like:

You walked in slow with a look in your eyes,

But like previous Suno versions, the voice labels encourage Suno to switch between voices, but Suno picks a voice pretty randomly. Maybe better than chance but not that much.

Probably like old ersions, other formatting works as well. Operas, musicals, scripts in general.l

When this happens, it's often because the sound at 2:00 sounds like it's about to end, like maybe it's fading out. Most obvious change is to make the Extend From time earlier, like 1:55 or 1:50 might be enough. Or change other things, like Extend but also using a Persona, change Weirdness, etc.

Got a question. Given the fact that we now can upload full lengths of our own work to Suno, is there a way how to keep everything the same I have, but just add vocals on top of my music I've originally created by myself?

Because that's the main reason I'm hooked on Suno - to extend my own tracks + add lyrics to them, as I don't sing, I have no access to singers, but I can write lyrics and I can produce music, so I'd like to use it only for the vocals

You can upload your music, then Cover it... to keep the same melody... and Suno would add vocal on it with maybe a variants of the melody and more likely a different arrangement than your original one.
Then you can use STEM feature to extract the vocal track and just download that to combine with your music in your DAW.
Hopefully you'd get a version that is close if not exact the music, so it'd match when you put the vocal on top.
All that because Suno can't just generate the vocal only.

As a musician I’m now uploading my own music and letting Suno re-arrange so I can they get a few ideas for re-recording etc

However when I use Suno to write. I have to then work out the music / chords / tempo / key. I’d be nice to have this basic info given back to us. Ideally the full transcript in music form would be great.

Stems are wonderful but I’d prefer a dry version of each one. Then when I bring them back into my DAW I can add my own FX.

Submit feedback on this and make your voice known. Let them know like I have that you want remastered a 4.0 returned. I've been telling everybody this. Hopefully they bring it back because taking a 4.5 song and remastering it to four. Almost always sounded good unless the 4.5 song was just complete garbage

Me personally, I thought that the original beta 4.0 with the shimmer was way better than I guess. What you would call the 4.0.5 model that introduced basically nothing other than audio degradation which I couldn't stand, especially since most of the songs I try and generate have heavy distortion on the guitars. It was almost pointless even trying. But for some crazy reason if you take a 4.5 song and you remastered it to four, I don't know why but it sounded good

Not to say that 4.5 is terrible or even bad. You can most certainly get good generations from it. But whereas you could take one or two remasters of a 4.5 remaster them to four and nine times out of 10. You would have a copy that was workable whereas now it seems like I have to remaster the same song and 4.5 like 10 times before I get a workable copy. It's just something to waste more credits it seems like

I just wish people would stop trying to say that it's a prompting issue because all that does is take away from the discussion that it is not a prompting issue. When I can take a copy of a song that's in 100% impeccable quality that's not even a generated song and upload it and without any prompts. Any instructions whatsoever. Once the song is uploaded, click remaster in 4.5 and listen in real time as whatever audio cancer that is infecting. This model destroys the quality of that same song. The documentation is very limited. It does not provide detailed explanations and does not answer the questions I asked above.
With the new Creative Sliders, the quality of the songs has become unpredictable. The "weirdness" option completely ruins the song by introducing random, unrecognizable words or lyrics. Why would anyone want to ruin their songs with weirdness?
The "style influence" feature also does not work as expected. The sound of the song is unstable — it fluctuates, with some tracks having very low volume. Additionally, it often fails to follow the provided instructions or lyrics.
Before this new feature was released, I was able to generate decent music tracks for a couple of days. I thought Suno was back to normal, but that stability only lasted briefly. Now, I can't create a single good-quality song.

Well I have to say I love the new stems feature. It finally gave me a greater ability to edit my songs in Post-Mix production. (Nice having everything broken out up to 12 stem separation.) My only complaint is the cost in credits. I could see charging 20 credits to get the new stems, but 50 credits? Devs could you reconsider this current pricing/credits and possibly lower it to 20? I have a lot of songs that I have created and using the new stemming feature (not the old one), is costing a fortune in credits to create the stems. Just asking you to please consider lowering it. Some of these have the "weirdness" above 90%. This will cause the model to behave in very unpredictable/chaotic ways that will be less musical or sound "bad". Some users want this. If you don't, use a lower weirdness settings (or the default.)

Also, avoid putting what you dont want in the style prompt, e.g. "no distorted vocals" as this can have the opposite effect just by mentioning "distorted vocals" (use "exclude styles" to list what you don't want)

I’ve used the exclude styles many times, and they work well for getting studio-quality songs. Most of the time, I use these negative styles to achieve high-quality results.

throat resonance, artificial breathing, background noise, robotic vocals, growl, distorted vocals, artificial resonance, harsh high-end

and also i try these negative styles as well, if above styles did not work when suno is unhealthy:

I would make an argument (since last year) that 1) the word copyrighted is just generic and means more "repetitive" and 2) finding too many lines of different outputs similar can trigger the notice. For what its worth, the training may come first in this instance and training on similar idioms and phrases is a waste and needs to be restrictive a bit. This can only go so far as phrases like "I love you" likely should always be allowed. But when a phrases gets above 5 words and yet the same phrase as another, its tagged as "copyrighted".

Legally, any output with user lyrics in Suno has the same copyright as anything else in life, so technically "copyright" covers pretty much everything human written.

Yeah its difficult with copyright lyrics. But it needs to utilise a more suitable detection. Anyone can make and release a cover song for instance, with the EXACT same lyrcis as another song. There is nothing illegal about that. It's just the releasing it for sale, which you would need a cover licence for. So I dont understand why they dont just scan your audio using something similar to Shazam, and if it doesn't match an EXACT existing song, then it should be allowed to be created. There is nothing illagal about making your own cover of an exisitng song and editing it. It's only if you decide to release it.

As I said, Sunos training I feel is priority , so thats a generic popup to say they dont want certain phrases to keep repeating, in very general terms.

But I've been able to just rearrange lines of the same words and it pass the filter after that. So its suspect as to why it pops up, frankly.

Using your good logic (scan things to compare with others), perhaps if repetition was an issue [my hypothesis] , then anything they find repetitious could be ignored from the training data but still let our work through, but then that would really tax the server more as an extra step.

The stem separation is magical. Clean stems that you will never get with UVR5 or other good stem separation tools. The only problem is the cost... 20 credits would be a fairer price considering that many times you may only want two stems or even one stem.

This problem is out of control. I've spent hundreds of credits trying to clean up the mispronunciations in one of my songs, but with no luck. In the choruses, "seven" has become "seve-ven," and "heaven" is "heave-ven," but the same words in the verses are just fine. This is just one example, albeit the worst. Often the attempt to replace the lyrics generates total gibberish.

Oh, you don't need the quotes. I assumed you were using [spoken word] in brackets in the lyrics, instead of the style prompt. This can work, but you can also add it to the style prompt.

Though quotes can help for mixed songs.

Just making the spoken text formatted differently than the regular lyrics.

I have no problem with seeing my lyrics. I have no problem generating a 7 minute song (custom or cover).
I have a big problem with the first 1 1/2 minutes sounding clean, and then continually degrading into distortion to the point that long compositions are useless. Until Suno fixes this, all of the new, exciting updates are nice, but of what use if the songs have to be trashed because they sound dreadful. This is especially true of orchestral or big band compositions.
I hope Suno's techs are really pushing a fix on this issue for an otherwise great program.

The new Suno updates can make Extending confusing, easier to Extend with the incorrect lyrics, because a text field was autofilled with the whole song for example. So double check that the prompt for the Extension is correct, and doesn't include lyrics already sung before the time you are Extending From. If your problem is not that, but is something else like Extensions are too short, try backing up the Extend From time by 5, 10, 20 seconds.

Degradation is a long term problem and used to be much much worse. But pushing to 8 minutes is long enough you may run into problems, even now. But not sure if it's especially bad for reasons within user control.

I agree with you that distortion issues were considerably worse in previous releases. I might give that a try to, reporting. I find the majority of v4.5 to sound muffled on the initial creation. Likely by design so you spend more credits to remaster it. v4 remaster, IMO, worked wonders on v4.5 created songs. Now we're stuck with credit burning.

For me, removing the option to remaster with v4 has honestly been a disaster—I hadn't even started trying other features. And it seems the drama continues.

Before testing the editing features, sliders, etc... I'm first checking whether the things I do like about SUNO still work. But...

• Persona isn’t available in covers using v4
• Both v4 and v4.5 (surprisingly) now have more flaws in Spanish vocals
• Vocal sound in 4.5 versions has poor reverb and way too much compression
• Better editor and prompt sliders? I haven’t even tried them yet—first I need the things that used to work to actually work

Feedback on New Creative Sliders Feature

Before the release of the new Creative Sliders feature, the music quality was significantly better for a few days. Suno was able to follow instructions correctly — the vocal styles matched as expected, the "exclude styles" were respected, and the overall music quality was good.

However, after the release of the new Creative Sliders, I’ve noticed the following issues:

1. The music generation has become highly unpredictable.

2. The song volume fluctuates inconsistently.

3. It no longer follows the given instructions.

4. Vocal styles are ignored — for example, male vocal requests often result in female vocals, a problem previously seen in version 4

5. Random, irrelevant lyrics or unknown words are frequently inserted.

6. Audio glitches are present.

Using the default Creative Slider settings (i.e. 50% weirdness and 50% style influence) still results in the same issues. Trying various combinations of Weirdness and Style Influence percentages only makes things worse — the output becomes chaotic, does not follow instructions, and includes random languages and lyrics.

There is slight improvement when both Weirdness and Style Influence are set to 0%, but even then, instructions are not followed properly and random, irrelevant lyrics persist. The quality is noticeably lower than before this feature was introduced.

Before the release of Creative Sliders, I could generate a good quality song within 1 or 2 tries. Now, even after spending lot of time and 1500 credits, I’m unable to produce a single good quality song. The results have deteriorated and resemble the poor quality seen in version 4.

Feedback on New Creative Sliders Feature - Continued

Additionally, the "Exclude Styles" input box has become very small. This field plays a critical role in ensuring the output quality. If I don’t specify negative styles here, the generated songs often contain growling, hissing, distorted vocals, background noise, metallic or robotic voice. Previously, this box was the same size as the "Style Description" box and was resizable, making it user-friendly. Now it’s not resizable, despite still accepting up to 1000 characters — this change has negatively affected usability. It also appears that the effectiveness of the exclude styles has reduced compared to before the Creative Sliders update.

Finally, I’ve observed that whenever a style includes terms like "emotional", "ambient", "soulful," "heartfelt", or "sad" the generated songs often include growling, hissing, distorted vocals, metallic tone, or robotic-sounding voices — all of which are undesirable.

As a Premier Customer, I sincerely hope that the Suno team will take my feedback seriously and work to address the issues I’ve outlined as soon as possible.

If it’s not feasible to resolve all these issues immediately — today or tomorrow — I kindly request that the recent patch introducing the Creative Sliders be temporarily reverted. Reverting to the previous version (prior to this update) would allow me to continue my project work without interruption. I have important deliverables and need to finalize and deliver several songs by Tuesday EOD.

Additionally, it would be highly beneficial if Suno could provide a toggle option to enable or disable the Creative Sliders feature. This would allow users like me, who prefer the previous behavior, to opt out of the sliders entirely — while still giving others the option to explore and use the new functionality on demand.

Leave the sliders at their default position (there's a reset button) if you don't want to use them. That's the same as before they were made visible. You just couldn't adjust them before.

It's possible there were other updates unrelated to the sliders.

I’ve tried everything it offers it's full of bugs, the quality has dropped, and some of the new features make it impossible for me to achieve the results I used to. Marketing-wise, its not always best to have a self-effacing approach and maintain and service an older version of a product when releasing a new product unless both have their own merits and features which appeal to a minority or elite group who's use of an older version (Classic Coke, single blade razors, reviving an older air freshener scent, retro gaming consoles, vlnyl records, etc....) can help bolster capital in the long run.

In the matter of software, much of the elements of an older version can't be sustained separately as they are incorporated into the upgrade.

The response then is to assume the upgrade was released too soon. To play devil's advocate, sometimes a developer has no idea how a new version will work -- even after extensive alpha /beta testing until they "turn off" the features of the old version, and then just sit back and be ready to get pummeled with user feedback.

From a marketing point of view, releasing a major update that causes mass dissatisfaction, visible backlash across Reddit, Discord, and other platforms, and alienates core creators is not strategic — it's damaging. Ignoring that feedback under the guise of “forward momentum” or “brand positioning” is not innovation, it’s negligence. As for the technical argument, let’s be honest .. in today’s world, keeping a backup or a parallel system of a previous version is not only possible, it’s standard practice. Claiming that “elements of an older version can’t be sustained separately” simply doesn’t make sense, especially when many of us have experienced the previous version working flawlessly. If the update was built upon it, then obviously the old version still exists in some form it just hasn’t been made accessible. If the update was truly released too soon, then that’s exactly the issue. In that case, the right move would be to give users a choice between the stable, proven system and the newer, experimental one even temporarily. That’s not self-effacing it’s respecting your user base and keeping trust intact. Right now, people are leaving or losing motivation to create — that’s the real marketing problem here.

There’s actually a legacy editor it's the oldest method for doing that. But honestly, from my experience with it, it’s a total mess. You can give it a try, and I really hope it works out for you honestly, from my experience, it’s a total mess.
For example, if you're using the v4 model and try to change the lyrics, it often starts singing in a made-up language. Even without major edits, sometimes it just generates an instrumental instead of vocals, throws random errors on the screen, and so on.

Honestly, it’s not that complicated — especially if you've used the previous version of the site. It just takes a little time to get used to.
For me, the real issue isn’t the complexity it’s that the update looks amazing on paper. The new features sound great in theory, but in reality, it's misleading. The platform is full of bugs now, and a lot of these “improvements” actually get in the way of creating songs with the same quality as before. That’s what’s really disappointing.. Also, I’m not sure how many people noticed this but before, Remix used to be just an option, and the main button was Generate. Now every song is automatically tied to a Remix button, which really messes things up for users like me who want to create songs with a specific voice and a specific instrumental. It was much easier to achieve that level of control and consistency in the older version — now it feels like the new setup limits that.

i have to agree cocaina... the biggest problem is, that the most songs start with great quality (sounddesign, full stereo, etc.) and over the track the quality went down to metallic high freq outputs..

and 4.5 is completly dulled and muffled with guitar based genres

the main technical problem is that the guitar frequencies are no longer generated after approx. 1:30 min... at least that's what v4 stem analyses have shown... But I have already communicated this to Mike graphically and in text form 🙂 so we are back in a technical discussion 😉

and the AI-generated waveform of the guitars is then compressed and simulated by the synthesizer stems. That's why the frequencies “eat” each other up a bit and that creates the metallic sound.

so the problem seems to be in the algorithm... I have no idea about the technical side of AI song creation, but from a producer's point of view (since 2006) that would at least be the logical conclusion 🙂

There's some secret were not told as to why they now have a "short length" trap for smaller replacements and "longer" one for longer ones. Thats fine, but give a clue at least to why we SHOULDNT use this one over that one. Why wouldn't a short length threshold work just fine or be more succinct with larger 20 second pieces, for instance.

I can only assume it means the distance it reaches beyond what were replacing in order to blend. So the short trap works better for intros, for instance, where there is no beginning.

I have no idea. Its all a bunch of note-taking again. Lol.

It's simply bugged currently, I cannot use the fixed mode because it's not compatible with v3.5, and the classic mode would be more than enough for me if it worked as it did before, but everything about editing has become more clunky, more time intensive, even if the replacements would actually fit.

That your infills that are not part of the base song get lost and you cannot anchor them anymore
That the export Audio has lower quality so you cannot save in between

That the sections are now 30 seconds minimum and when you want a playback you can't review them because you have to wait to get to the middle of them

That cropping has no preview, you can micromanage your exact crop instead of shifting it to the right position reviewing and then make the cut

Same for infills drag and drop

The sections I drop into the song break the whole lyrics

I have to say some BIG PRAISE today to Suno !
I made a REALLY great gospel song and I said: "let's see what happens with the song if I use personas".
So I used 4 different personas and I got the same vocal melody with 4 different voices, each song in another genre.
So I got 8 amazing new versions of the song in different genres, ith different singers. One better than the other !!!
I set the Style influence slider to 90% and the Audio Influence to 25%. This might matter a lot.
So it is not (always) TRUE (as somebody wrote here) that with personas you get the same song (you made the persona wit)h in a different arrangament !
It works also of getting another singer and another genre for you song! A real cover so to say!

You can upload an audio -- Something of yours, your creation -- most anything else isnt allowed -- or even record your singing, making some noise, sound effects whatever you'd like, then Cover (click edit/Cover) it or Extend it (edit/extend).

Cover can give a near exact copy of melody and arrangement and extend will do as extends do and create a new output based on the general tune, melody and arrangement and give you a "Part 2", which then you can Get Whole song and decide if its something to work with, or even just work straight off of the extend by making a copy and then editing further.

Any audio found with vocals will automatically be tagged and can't be made published/public for seurtity reasons. Otherwise, you can copy and share by posting the link or downloading. Nor can you make a persona from audio uploads or from any output created as part of the chain of edits you might do.

Can anyone suggest a good way to get Suno to pad out a song some? I want some more guitar work and it keeps jumping to the vocals again too soon. How can I get it to give me longer interludes?

@wraith ferry As well, if I'm updating a song by making a cover in 4.5, to have, say, one of my artists cover it, I click Cover and add the bands 4.5 persona and it does just fine

But I have issue with extend in instrumental mode. It thinks I want it to end the song and thus I get mostly just 1min extends which is just an ending
I would like to know how to tell suno its supposed to do an actual extension and not an ending :/

I would like to know also. Sometimes saying "Guitar Solo" works, but usually it will be the world's shortest solo. It's hauntingly inconsistent

The prechorus and epilogue, since there are no words yet, as well as no metatags to associate with, might then continue the musical piece is what I was hoping.

But could be all balderdash if I'm wrong 5 out of 5 times. Just something I'd do based on my experience. I just added an instrumental yesterday and it was nice about 20 seconds, but I forgot which song now.
