you can do it with whisper from openAI, ask chatGPT how to install it and how to use it, you need to go to command prompt and stuff, but its totally free, it will generate srt file with the timing

I figured it out! If I use the video editor, CapCut, I can extract the audio from the music file. Then, I export that and import it into Davinci Resolve. The auto-caption in Davinci Resolve is better than CapCut's. So, then I can generate the subtitles from the Audio only version.

I've done a deep dive into the noise. I made a song and downloaded, ripped it to 8 tracks with RipX Daw Pro.

Most of the noise is on the percussion track, but there is some on the drum track.

The best way to get rid of the noise is to rip it to 4 tracks then replace the drum track entirely. Of course, you need experience to do that, but it's pretty successful.

If all else fails, swithch to V3 or V3.5 and it will end more often. But you may need to Remaster or Cover to smooth over the extension

I did not know this, so perhaps Instrumental outro would prompt that end that you can normally find a natural cutoff point. However, I have had decent success with [Fade-out] [End]. It never fades out...lol, but it will end or do that end with more time so it kicks up again that you have to crop.

v4 is all over the map for me on weights. I'm not sure if they are incremental updating or what, but there are days when I can't even get a single vocal to stay without extending.

Instead of using the default end of the clip, change the Extend Time back to an earlier time. This happens when Suno thinks the song is ending, so you need to backup to before that in the song (sometimes you can hear a fade out, pick a time before that)

Alright, what's the best way to end a song in V4? Well, just Suno really. Have a song that cut off during an instrumental section and would end it at that point. I just put end in style prompt with blank lyrics and that fails.

If that were a math problem you'd have a +male. I'm in the opinion that suno reads the first one and then has to logical figure out what the other ones want it to do, often giving a 50/50 chance of influence, or worse, see repetition as a glitch and ignore them all.

Voice gender is also about context, but in lyrics and style prompts. So kpop or ballad would influence female voice, a song about love and romance often may as well. If your song is an epic slow viking soliloquy, it might get female, a shanty would get more of a male. Not as many heavy metal girl bands than guy. Not to be discriminating, but just considering what songs are public over the past 100 years and who sings them. Anything before 1980 and you'll have more gender specific subjects and styles. It helps to either write or arrange lyrics to bring out a female voice or at least add some styles that sway towards using female voicing.

I've tried changing the complexity of the prompts (from details to single word), to clearing out my entire library, to clearing cache in my browser. It´s hard to get such a sound like you described, I tried to do this in a lot of songs but only had a handful tracks where AI did what I tried to tell it in commands. Having this on purpose is hard to get. I had a track where I had to extend the track and AI completely ignored the sound it created before so the extend was not usable.

Suno might not process this in the way you expect.

Typically I'd expect most of this to be in the style prompt box ("death metal, black magic, guitars, piano"). What likely will be happening here is Suno just reacts to words/phrases in those tags, if it can. Anything else, it ignores.

You have "-DRUM" in there. There's a chance this is being seen as an emphasis on the word "drum" since it's in capital letters, and that the "-" part does nothing ("-" doesn't negate or exclude things.) Similarly, if you were to put "no drum" it would still see the word "drum" is in there.

If you're subscribed, try putting "drums" in box for the "exclude styles" feature (it might not be 100% though.)

If you're trying to generate with your own actual voice, you'll need to recordd a sample of yourself singing. Then cover that and create a song with the sample of your voice. Once you're happy with the song, then you can create a Persona out of the song containing your voice sample singing.

importing the stems into Audacity, adding a noise supression and then kicking those wavs out to a DAW and using Izotope and Waves plug ins to try to clean up the sound as best as it can.

I'm not about to spend 200.00 on the Clarity VX pro plug in from waves, but it does knock out 80% of the noise and shimmer.

The length of songs created using covers and personas depends to some extent on the length of the original (longer original = shorter new song.) Generally 3:20 is about roughly what I'd expect for a cover/persona. I do wish it was made clear somewhere on the site that a cover/persona will be shorter than 4:00.

One of the setbacks of the free plan is that the daily credits are capped at 50 -- if you wait 3 days, you stay capped at 50 and don't stack 150 to use in one big spree.

Ensemble doesn't always get away with no shimmer, I suppose as it can be a random mix of vocal (like cast chorus members in a musical) singing slight off from each other. The overtones are massive , as well as any auditorium reverb to emulate a stage production, and I think it triggers some hissing and noise.

Guys. Any other idea how to get rid of shimmer in v4, by batch? I checked now the trick with splitting stems, downloading wav-s and merging in DAW. Works almost perfect. That means, that's non-AI plain Suno algorithm mistake. Takes 3 min to unshimmer manyally every song, cause of non-AI mp3 coding error. Any ideas?

Got any excluse style list for shimmer? For me it's a 1% bit better with: ‑unclean, ‑dirty, ‑shimmering, ‑flanger, ‑distortion, ‑distorted, ‑echo, ‑hall. But still 50% songs go to trash instead of 80% (unless wasting time for horrible stemming, downloading 2 files, putting to daw, rendering, saving, instead of one click 'download', how it should work, cause, gash, AI generation is perfect, but output mp3 is horrible).

I experienced what @hollow hare described on a site that stole the model from Suno, which I didn't know and therefore switched directly to suno.

What @late dust describes happens to me very often. But without a watermark in the song and on the picture. I am constantly rewriting my texts because I think that what I write is too harsh. Suppose I give the model a text that I haven't rewritten afterwards, then both generated songs end at exactly the same time marker. If I use the exact prompt to generate new songs, they will also end on this time marker.

That what I got 5 weeks ago maybe it’s changed but why try again given how messy the actual website is with anyone using any device with your finger

Have 8000 generations to singly press the three dots and then press the playlist you want takes about 19 hours. I just did it this last weekend.

I use the Safari browser on my iPad to create everything, and I use the app to actually get into my playlist to listen to something without the order in which you place the songs and don’t go out of order just trying to listen to it.. frustrating but it still love the results that Suno generates songs that come out. I just don’t know how many songs I actually have because I cannot listen to them in any kind of order unless you use the app use the app however you can only get 10 playlists even if you have 30 or more on the app

I've not tested, so there's that, but from other similar quests, if you think of when "panning" was popular, that would be in the quadraphonic period around 1975. You can try adding 70s, 1975, or quadraphonic, psychedelic or just surround sound , as a novel idea. These are all musical styles which suno probably has a notion of their quality. You might get unwanted panning, but maybe something cool too. I'll leave it for others to test. It's late tonight for me. Lol.

It's beta. I think many people get a misconception about that. It's not a finished product so issues are to be expected.

To answer in case anyone asks why would someone release an unfinished product... it's for community testing. A limited set of devs can't find all the issues. It's good to get exposure for in-progress works because the more eyes are on it, the more bugs are found and fixed.

I'm going to share my 2 cents on the matter -- "unfinished" is such a strange concept in regards to generative AI.

There's areas that it clearly needs improving, and none of the team, testers, guides, mods, etc are saying that the level of shimmer at launch was ideal, but it doesn't feel entirely representative when some suggest that it's entirely broken or incapable of creating songs without shimmer -- based solely on their experiences / genres.

Though you're absolutely right that having more data means a better model, but even during alpha it was capable of producing great tracks, so it's just a matter of improving and refining, rather than "finishing up", from my perspective (which I realize is skewed)

There's not a good answer other than presuming it's being worked on as any other to improve it's function. I've had some success with replace, but I often still have to just run about 8 gens before something hits the right spot. More often there are issues eith bleeding over following lyrics.

So the successes I pressume are just fortunate anomalies , a happy roll of the dice, until it's consistently working as it should.

I've even had success with changing lyrics with Cover, which isn't it's intent, so happy accidents can be beneficial.

I has update on how to remove shimmer/wobble from audio that so far for ME has worked.
It's using a few plug ins from WAVES but lucky for you all they have a 3 for 49.99, Get 6 Plugins for $99.98 sale going on now. which is dirt cheap for what these things can do.

1. Download your song as stems (WAV FILES ONLY)
2. Open Audacity and pull them both in
3. Select the noisiest part of the track high light it and then
4. Go to Noise Reduction > Get Noise Profile
5. Set the Noise Reduction to 4 or 5, Sensitivity to anywhere between 9 and 15 DB, Smoothing between 4-6
6. go back to the track and hightlight it all
7. Go back to Noise Reduction and then do step 2
   You will see the levels go down a bit, that's ok
   Render the audio as wavs (seperate stems)

Open your DAW
WITH WAVES PLUG INS INSTALLED (this will not work without these)
X-Noise
WNS Stereo
Z Noise
NS1 Stereo

Add your music and vox tracks.
Apply all of these to both.
For VOX
X-Noise - Pink Noise both setting, click on med and learning. (you will have to reclick to activate learning on each time you pull this song up)

https://help.suno.com/en/articles/2871105 This article isn't ideally worded, but even with a paid membership, if you extend from a song, the resulting clip is arguably partly owned by whoever made the original part.

Songs made on Suno belong to Suno and the authors of that song -- Suno just waives their rights, titles & interest in the segments you make if they're made on a paid plan.

So if you're extending from someone else's song with the intention of monetizing, it's best to get their express written consent granting you a license to do so.

It's not something that's built-into the platform, and Suno seems to have carefully worded the ToS to recuse themselves from having to explain ownership / authorship / copyright.

It's more something that would come into play down the line if someone extends from a song, monetizes it, and "thumbprinted" the original track in the process, invalidating the original author from publishing it

Personas can have different limited based on the length of the clip that persona is using for context -- @unique stone was looking into some of those limitations, but I can't recall where we'd landed on that

This is normal for covers and personas. I don't know the specific internal reason for this. Most likely some of the 4 minutes is reserved to store context (the original song) as apparently a longer original song will give a shorter cover/persona-based song, and the other way around too.

The only way to continue those songs is to use extend.

Anyone have any more details on how the lyric realignment works, sometimes I get into situations where replaces will be off by like a half second or more when inserted.

I can sometimes fix it by cropping a minimal amount and trying a new re-alignment, or just adding extra lines of space in lyrics etc, but feels very much like random trying vs I know for sure I'm doing the right thing.

Only that it , the misalignment or bleeding over of lyrics using replace was an issue and still is, for awhile, and on the list for review and revision. So any attempt to use is with our understanding that it's random success. But , for me, I get something usable about 6% of the time.

Be kind to just let new folks who make it as far as discord, to use it sparingly and to be fervent at having spelling and arrangement checked well before running a gen.

I think it's hit or miss, some of my best results are with replaces vs extends. Sometimes feels to me like it's still being tied to the previous version. From my experience, if using a browser on my phone (I assume you're using your phone) I've learned to hold down when I tap... or tap-hold the spot to allow whatever popup or menu you intended to work or come up. As long as you are hold, it doesn't "click" on anything else- cross fingers, it doesnt.

If a popup , then slide your finger over unto the pop-up so it "designates" the pop-up and the pop-up stays up and on top. Or just holding it until the action is complete can work as well.

In the photo, I show where "Move to Trash" hovers over the word "quadraphonic" , so clicking Move to Trash will subsequently click and go to a quadraphonic search. Holding on Move to Trash, will delete the file and only popup the menu again - no problem.

You have to work out when this is needed, based on your layout.

Certainly, going to settings / display on phone and changing layout size and/or font size can alter the layout to help avoid some of the funkiness and surprise clicks.

There’s this tiny scroll bar on the right side and it’s smaller than my pinky finger to scroll with you basically have to rub the outside of your iPad, hoping to scroll the page down on your playlist and avoid touching anything other than the outside of your iPad and without grabbing the thing out of order and pulling it into chaos. But if you highlight the top two tracks, you’re able to scroll all the way down to the bottom however, when you hit those three dots to place the selected song you want into another playlist you have to un highlight the ones that are at the top of the screen so they don’t go into your new destination of a playlist. Give us an option to lock the screen or check box to position it from top to bottom, or wherever you would like to inside the playlist. Do this and you will be King of all Ai generated music

What you see up top is my "tablet" layout, which does exactly the same as yours on scroll. Files get highlighted, files float about when scrolling, it's a mess. So I replace and crop on tablet layout (split screen setting and smallest font), but everything else I go to settings/display and reset display to standard and small zoom. And fonts back up to medium size. Then nothing is an issue.... but I can't crop, replace or highlight files for multiple deleting or moving. I have to move to a desktop then for those. 0

I just don't know of a good genre that could nudge it to do one voice, all the time. Certainly we can get 1 voice, but on choruses and such, Suno likely uses it's best guess and majority of songs have harmonies here and there.

Maybe: singer-songwriter, folk, spoken, or literally use "lonely" , "alone"

Yes, it’s very important to get your timing right when you extend you need to give room and anticipate that the AI will follow the last thing It heard

If you want a male vocal for the verse and a female for the hook, then, if the last thing it cut off was the female singing the Hook when you put in the prompt for the verse, it most likely will follow the female voice however, if there’s two voices crossing over each other at the same time it will start hallucinating I found , I find the best method is to do a verse then your chorus, and then part of the verse two generate make sure not to do your entire verse 2 on your first generation you want AI to follow your first verse instructions then your chorus and then it will go back into the same voice hopefully on the second verse, but don’t complete it completed on your extension from the point that it ended

I would work with extensions. It's nearly impossible to steer the AI in a specific direction. Just now it keeps ignoring female oder male voice and gives you the opposite.
You can try with brackets (...) to push the phrase into the background. I had some luck with male choir and female singer/vocal in the style box. But mostly, it's hit or miss. 😁

Another clue to help with production is to listen to when it hallucinates and goes into gibberish. That should be the time you actually extend it to the next part with your lyrics. It’s letting you know this is where lyrics should be however they’re not real lyrics you as a human should intervene correct the gibberish

I’ve experienced plenty of hallucination freestyles in hip-hop with some of my personas where doesn’t follow the lyrics and I label them as freestyles and then I re-create them with V4 and you can actually understand the gibberish. It’s amazing and it’s a true AI freestyle.

I won't post here as it's an ethical call, but just for testing you can "make a song" with someone else's persona to get some ideas ... maybe change some prompts and work up a nice one of your own and save as a new persona.

Many clip errors have resulted from the auto-monitor flagging sounds or vocals that have certain words or phrases, anything from vulgar to simple odd things like "spaghetti " , who knows. Or the sound or melody may have a resemblance to a popular song.

That's a maybe, where, simple their working on revisions as well as mass participation bottle-necking the system could trigger bugs and glitches here and there. We just don't know all the time.

If you can upload a small short audio of you counting to ten, or a clip of any simple audio and see if the same error. If so, then it's good to head an email to support and let them know.
