It’s used for Indirect fire support. Similar to mortars, the C2 optic allows players to engage targets that aren’t in direct line of sight by using elevation and reference points to arc rounds into an area.

Might be a simple animation but it is better then 90% of the current animations in the mod scene. Notice how its not just the arm animated but also the head, and torso also have movement making it more realistic looking. A lot fo these reload animations you see within peoples mods only have the arms moving. No head, no torso movement. It looks so awkward. Nice work.

Stuck triggers are a common sight and half of all diggers going in boot or eets are at near fatal risk of dropping the firing ping because they love to slide out. I knew a guy who lost his in a creek cause his dumbass was doing a field clean, it slid out and this idiot watched it BOUNCE into the creek and float away before realising 'oh wait I need that' before chasing after it. He lost it.

I'm afraid of this and the impact on people with weaker PCs because, as you said, it's the same impact as a "PIP from scopes," but for some people, that's already a significant issue.
very valid im currently looking into how to reduce performance impact. there still could be a lot of perfomance to be gained. there is a setting in the video settings for the mod. currently the low and off settings are not working too well.
Im still unsure how much cpu/gpu bottleneck is at work here but it should be possible to much better performance than using scopes
you are essentially doing double rendering there though. that is always the challenge of PIP
Maybe you make a form for the player Chosse how many "PIPs" activate like press F in the Periscopes who he wants to Enable.... or something like this
Resolution doesn't have to be as big as when using a scope. I hope its not too bad on the cpu side
@alpine estuary Only one PiP at a time is active persicope/mirror count doesnt matter. If its mostly gpu dependent it can be improved a bit
Right now i can cut out about 1-2ms because my script is unoptimized. The low setting can also be used more efficiently, like capping to 30fps or changing resolution or doing less math in the component
i have a monster cpu and gpu and i still get fps drop when using scopes lol
Setting camera draw distance, render scale, etc can solve a lot of these issues, plenty of things to play with in script

The majority of the community is only advocating that AI photos be banned from use on a mod’s workshop page, not as a tool. The issue is that the majority of mods are generating (or using) unrelated images; it’s made the workshop a mess. As far as I can rly tell, the only ppl who have expressed an interest in removing AI stuff entirely are a handful of devs due to several reasons, but mainly unclear copyright law. That said, a total ban on ai would be very difficult to enforce for scripts

In my opinion, AI images aren't what's messing up the workshop; it's the fact that there are no filters to show only mods for game version 1.6. When you try to find something now, you see mods from game version 1.0 even though 99% of them don't work anymore

My main thought here is making it an opt in feature - adding an action to mirrors that toggles on/off the pip effect that then carries with you when you get in your next vehicle

I understand the reasoning, but if you look at the image from what this conversation stemmed from , I think you can very reasonably tell what the mod is about. I can side with not just using AI for unrelated images, sure no unrelated images should be a cover photo, AI or not. However there are some cases where a quick photo detailing what the mod has to offer can tell me everything I need to know without even clicking on the mod. Some mods that are Gamemode adjacent, or non- object related may benefit from those AI summaries. Idk it’s not really a hill I wanna die on, just always confused on why people hate the images so much lol
Game version alone doesn't say anything about whether a mod works though. Some of my mods still work after many game updates, so there was no need to update them.

I strongly prefer AI photos that MAY tell me what the mod actually does over 95% of what people put up on steam. The vast majority of uploads are not content or relevant outside person/community that uploaded them.
Workshop display/filters issues just make the issue seem worse than it really is.

Literally, you could make the interaction point a specific spot outside the player’s field of view, or even assign it to a key. It's quite simple to find solutions, I think your perspective a bit limited 😅
I know some mods still work even if the version is outdated (like Where Am I), but it would be much clearer if they were updated to the latest version. That way, everyone would know right away if a mod works or not. Right now, you have to test the old mods yourself to see if they're still functional. Of course, the 1.6 tag doesn't automatically mean it's functional, but it at least tells you that it has been updated recently
We dont really obligate mod makers to stick around forever and update their work. Mods natural life cycle is that sometimes they stop being maintained and break.
I can understand from user point of view that makes it more difficult to use mods as sometimes you find something cool but it does not work anymore.
First step to rectfy that would be to find out if the modder is still active and if they are aware of any issues and if they can fix it.
If they cant be found or they wont fix it, the mod can be reported to us to be checked and if deemed broken, unlisted.

Yes i know. But if youre wanting my custom mags to go in a weapon thats been designed to run only that custom ammo type it would require it being a dependency. For a mag to go into a weapon they need to have a matching magwell script. I could make a 300blk conversion mod where they can go in any weapon that takes 556 but that still doesnt make them accessible to caps 300blk weapons. Only using his mod as a dependency and adding his custom magwell script to the mags would make them work.

The focus of the last period was: Retexturing Vanilla assets, work on the terrain itself.
Focus on the next period is: Retexturing of villa assets, adding more brand new assets, work on the terrain, collision+LOD's to excisting new assets and the finalisation of the TEC9 pistol (animations and textures, finalisation).

This is been already stated inside the Mod showcase, but I will say it here aswell, the mod is a TOTAL OVERHAUL, there are plans to adjust some textures to reduce the filesize, but on the other hand I am also still adding assets, weapons/gear and other stuff, the mod is far from done so I cant say anything about the "total" modsize, it will also have its own gamemode(s).
You can see it as a game within a game, however for legal reasons I cannot call it that so it is called a TOTAL OVERHAUl, meaning I am reworking/altering the entire basegame, including its textures and stuff.
So again, it is too early in development to state anything about the finalmodsize, yes the mod is big but you get a lot for it in return, it is not your basic "terrain" and/or mod.

There are some reasons. First is we joined the Reforger party to late, but is not a really big issue cause of the second reason, Reforger is not really a finished game to mod with (for us, Tiberian Genesis). Means a lot stuff is still missed like as example correct tracked vehicles physics and more. We (so the Tiberian Genesis Mod Devs) learn first to handle this new Enfusion Engine and use Reforger just as testphase and prepare our stuff for Arma 4. Arma 4 is announced 2027 which is soon.. so makes no sense to hurry up for a Reforger release at all cause we got a lot of stuff getting to work and some we got to improve or redo. We released Tiberian Genesis already in Arma 3 and we currently swap the stuff we did to the new Enfusion Engine. So its true what @hard stag has mentioned already.

It will be closed sorry EA is pretty hard on rules and what we can can't do, a4 is likely the game at this stage as enfusion will be the target engine we suspect come arma rf 2.0. @swift dock will set up a show room soon for all the fun sneak peaks

@unkempt sand yep its way bit op but its destroyable.. so the shoulder turret can be killed with just 4 shots and the turret atm with 13.. turret can be cornerkilled easy if you know there is one.. my ceiling turret variant in the buildings is way more difficult when we get it to work to emerge/submerge

Sorry @serene dust, I misspoke before. I use a system similar to TkoH's for adding object compositions to trees... actually, each tree is made up of 12 objects.
So the total number of objects on the map is 75,661,091.
I can't really say, @unkempt sand, but it's currently running smoothly and well, even though I have it set to 25km of terrain view. Loading times and memory usage are other issues...
But when I use Ultra and 4K, I get a stable 60fps.

Music I think is what sets any tone for a cinema piece. Some somber , slower music may make him feel like he’s reminiscing on home, add some children laughing or quotes from family fading in and out as if he’s deep in thought, almost day dreaming. Then obviously let it get more intense, as the shells pick up. Or you can even keep the day dreaming theme since he may be a seasoned veteran who is praying a shell lands on him. Idk I never made a video but it’s cool to give opinions on things I know nothing about lmfao

It is physical damage, as of right now it shoots 1200rpm same as the vector one main difference though being it doesn't have negative recoil like the IRL Kriss Vector. There's a Admin magazine for events and such that shoots mortar shells in the vanilla Civ arsenal. Pretty much just a regular gun but with a fun twist @dull sluice

Today am I proud to announce the release of our rifle sling, this is something I personally have seen countless conversations about and only ever seen references to it being impossible or so difficult no one was willing to do it and release it publicly.

personally i'd like it if there was even a little bit of documentation but so far it's similar enough to unity and unreal that i can figure stuff out on my own

So, if I download a mod, like the honey badger or the colt optic…it doesn’t do anything in my game if I join a multiplayer server right? The server has to be running those mods correct? Basically I can download mods and use them in my own gamemaster session if if I want to play with them yeah?

New update coming in a few mins for BloodLust2: fixed an issue where blood splatter was white at night (definitely didn't look SFW). Also tweaked the blood material to look more wet.

Still some problems with things like the windscreen, headlights, etc. But I want to make some rally/racing missions since the driving is so much better in reforger

I haven't made any custom animations, however I did rig the model and hook up the suspension & wheel animation to the rig. It's fairly straightforward even for me, and I am really new to serious 3D modeling. More of a scripter myself.
I do want to add custom animations for some things like the hood/trunk.
