No. BI should not make changes solely to mitigate the impact of PBS disabling AI. AI will put an RPG into those helicopters and BTRs in no time. i.e. It's not a problem at all if you play the game how it was designed.
Since when did Conflict players play how the game was designed? The designed and intended way to play the game is sit at a base, wait for a troop transport to pick you up, rally with other groups, and attack a base en masse in one fell swoop

If its one man in a BTR or one man in a helicopter capturing a base then theyre not playing correctly
At the very least the BTR should have a gunner and the Huey should have a co pilot to jump out, hide in a corner, and wait for the base to be captured

Armored vehicles dont capture things IRL, the armored vehicles kill things and level defenses so that the Infantry can capture them
All it takes is one dude hiding inside a well dug trench or bunker with an RPG and your Armored Vehicle is toast
Hence the infantry needed to clear it out

It can use the agm-22 and there was a prototype used in Vietnam that could use TOWs too
afaik if youre in a heli, you cant cap a base unless you're below a certain altitude (which can be modified via the scenario)

Commander role has been confirmed for over a year, and we dont know about anymore UI improvements. Dont get your hopes up.
Hey devs and all staff of bohemia on the arma reforger developments , could we please also have some modern era content added to reforger please and thanks like a middle eastern map a vehicle kit and weapons kit as well clothing and equipment even though we have mods on console now half the time we have to reinstall the game many times for mods to work for such little time , and kunar province map mod doesnt save anything i create on it but also in game master we would really appreciate being able to place actual mission objectives to like hostage rescue,intel gathering,prisoner transport ,HVT kill or capture etc.. but also could we have an extraction heli added for after the scenario and beable to place where it takes us on the map to end it , but also switching from game master and game play so much gets annoying and difficult to keep up on quickly so maybe being able to command AI during gameplay on our side i mean but in game master being able to set hostile faction to patrol in a vehicle guard hostages etc... and as well being able ziptie surrendering hostiles and hold them in a designated incarceration area/building stuff like this is actual in the world we live why couldnt we have the ability to create these things in our scenarios itd be really interesting to see how people can create their scenarios as well shutting down human trafficking organizations and so on extremist groups etc... please i hope this is seen and highly considered we deserve a full game of reforger for the money we have paid for a game preview though and the modern era content i would pay for it as dlc addon if needed be so long as its working properly that is i understand you all work hard and i do appreciate it so very much please please consider this feedback anyone in here that likes these ideas please give a thumbs up if youd like 👍🏼 or even reply with 10-4

A bit of feedback from a new player. The minimum graphics card shown on the Store page, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, made me a little leery about getting Reforger because I figured I might not be able to run it with my GTX 970. Hell, Arma 3 seems to want to run around 40-50 fps no matter what settings I used, so I just got used to Arma not running well 
Imagine my surprise when I boot up the game and load into the tutorial, which in Arma 3 had still run poorly despite being on low settings... and sure, I have to run Reforger on Medium to Low presets to get good framerates, but I was getting over 60fps consistently!
And I've adored the fluidity of the new animations, after the rather stiff and at times floaty interactions of Arma 3. I haven't had a lot of free time lately, but I definitely want to dig more into Arma Reforger when I get the time. If Arma 4 is going to be on this engine, too, it's a day one buy from me. Even on my older hardware, this engine runs BETTER than Arma 3 ever did.

I'm having fun with this game, but my experience is constantly being ruined by griefers teamkilling, dismantling friendly base structures, spamming soundboards on enemy radio and spawncamping main base. Having an public Arma 4 testbed so rife with griefers that it turns people away defeats a lot of it's purpose. I think it's time to divert some development time and effort to get a system in place to deal with these individuals once and for all. I propose the following:

A cronological log of player offenses to assist all players to individually identify a griefer and report and/or votekick him. Should include friendly fire, friendly fire kills and base dismantling. Browsable through the player menu, per player or compounded.

A proper votekick function. You can initiate a votekick with the current one, but there is no input or progress feedback, noone knows if their votes are going through or if it's close to succeeding.

Ideally, someone at Bohemia Interactive should go through the official votekick logs and issue bans. These individuals have a large impact, but they are few. The workload should be modest and impactful.

For Arma 4, a system where the player ID can be tied to the purchase should be implemented if possible, I've been told that is currently not the case and that griefers can create alternate accounts on Xbox.
Not entirely sure if Hs can't use AGM 22s or if they just stopped using them because AH-1s came about. I did see something about them stopping their use because of cobras but not sure if that was the Bs and Cs or also the Hs. It definitely still has the hard points for it though.
War Thunder, apparently, has a UH1D with AGMs but that would hardly be proof even if it was an H 😁
In Vietnam the 205 ( extended cab hueys) aka uh1d and later uh1h were used exclusively as slicks( transports) in us forces. Uh1b and uh1c were relegated as gunships. Mostly uh1c,s because uh1c was basically just an up engined b. At least until ah1 cobras came about which gradually took over the dedicated gunship role.
The aussies had a gunship configuration for thier uh1h " bushranger" huey. But that's a foriegn user. Plus that gunship configuration was only mini guns and rockets afaik.
I think CH118s could also carry them but again that's foreign. At the very least it's not part of the doctrine for the US
Guided anti tank missiles are no in the scope of reforger. And even if they were. I'd rather not look at experimental or foreign helos when ah1 cobra starting with Q variant got tows. For a late 80s era ah1f is what should be used for the us army aside from new kid on the block that the ah64a was.

Is it a known issue that Render Scale is not saved when you exit game? I set it to (Borderless full screen) 3440x1440, exit game, come back and it's again 3456x1479. I need change that every time.

Yeah, US designed an adapter for the M249 that lets it feed 30 rounders, to kind of mimic the same functionality between the AK and RPK
Rpk isnt good conparison, both ak and rpk are mag fed. Rpk mags also go into ak. Diffrence is heavier barrel etc.
RPK can be given AK mags when they're in a tight pinch
The US realized that if they lose their M249 belts the Machinegun is useless, whereas if the Russians lose an AK mag or two, their RPK is not
So they wanted to offset that by making the SAW take STANAGs
Idea is since saw puts down more volume of fire, and belts are not in the plenty, saw could share rifleman stanags which are way more plentiful in a pinch.

Like stand just on the fringe of the dissasemble range, hold F to begin, and when your guy brings shovel up, he is out of the range and action is cancelled.

Here u go, digging in 3rd person works fine, as you can see (i stopped digging).
However same place in first person it instantly interrupts the dig, but as i've said, it only happens on a fringe of the interaction range.
If i move closer it works.

i think the unconcious animation is fine for now but i think there are more animations that might be implemented making it harder to ID unconscious targets among the dead, but rn what we really need is carrying and dragging!
Different animations and manhandling people would also be neat.
But currently it is just too obvious if someone is unconcious. They get shot, ragdoll a bit, then place themselves in near-perfect position 100% of the time.

probably not a massive deal but imo the 3d exterior model of the UH1H huey shoiuld be changed to incorporate wire strike protection system. its the sharp knife like object just above the the top of the aiframe, in the middle above the pilot/copilot. This was a standard feature of hueys. Certainly within the 1980s to its final retire date.

We fixed them, but then it introduce a crash, so we remove the fix. The fix is bigger and can't be added to the version like that. We are aware, it will be fixed in a future update

Humvees are underpowered today anyways because they've overloaded with armor, they trying to make them into mraps ( an upgrade from 6.2L 150 HP to 6.5L with 190 HP ain't gonna cut it. To contrast the late production civilian hummer h1 had like 300 hp engine)
The non armor humvees in reforger are actually pretty sweet rides. Way nicer then a uaz. That's for sure. Jeeps faster on a road. But offroading humees still superior.

If you were on stable, the keybinds change would be less so frequent 
It would like to see some subsets of capture points on the scale of Arland on the Everon map for some variety. While Arland plays really well, the 32 players are spread way to thin on Everon and there is no way to effectively defend all of the points. Half of the teams just end up capping each others unguarded points repeatedly while the other charge in aimlessly in hope of seeing some action. Distant objective points often go ignored for most of the game. I know a conflict overhaul is planned in the final strike roadmap, but his should be a low effort way of adding some much needed variety in the meantime. For the final version of Everon conflict I think we either need more players or fewer objective points and possibly shorter distances inbetween. It feels rather pointless to capture points that are not defended and vice versa.
Is the respawning and supply flow systems from Reforeger Experimental Conflict mode will be a thing in Reforger Stable after next update?
Right now in the Experimental version of Reforger's Conflict Mode, after you build a Radio Relay on an capture point, there is a constant flow of Supplies to all the buildings that have Supply storage in them. That basically allows you to respawn on the point endlessly until the enemy will demolish your Radio Relays. You can also spam as many Radio Relays as you want until there is free space left for them.
This making capturing and defending points a very frustrating and immersion breaking process of constant dying and respawning right in front of enemies to kill a few of them and then die afterwards, just to respawn after 5 seconds and continue the pointless meat grinder with constant people spawning right infront of your eyes. This cycle can go on for hours.
The situation is less annoying on Everon where you can try to cut off enemy communication lines by capturing points behind enemy lines, but on Arland after 40 minutes ig, if any of the teams weren't successful at capturing both main objectives, the only way to win is to frustrate the enemy team to leave the game before they do the same to you.
Also this system eliminates the logistics disruption gameplay style when you get behind enemy lines trying to intercept enemy supply trucks and heavy vehicles until they came to the frontline, because atm you can spawn BTR's and .50 cal Humvees right on point where all the fighting is happening if there is heavy vehicle depo.
the entire spawn system is a bit fucked rn imo with radios mhq's and being able to spawn on bases being attacked attacking and defending is just annoying cause there will always be endless waves of attackers and defenders with 0 need for logi
they should rework how all spawns work (radios bases mhq's)
imo it would be way more fun if you would need logi running transport for troops to go on attacks and bring them to points to defend
but for a system like that too work you would need people actually communicating and playing as a team and we all know that aint happening

Attackers get 1 spawn every 60s. Defenders get 1 every 10 s. And in that 10s you gain 10 supplies back, so you can spawn again.
You cant man all bases even on 64 or 100 p servers. If u wanna atfack at all.

Issue with the vote to kick system being abused, kicking players they don't like but without reason, also admins getting kicked by trolls trying to get rid of server admins. Think there should be something in place, maybe a thing in config to make sure certain players (admins) can have their ID or gamertags added so they can't be vote kicked. I don't know.
They should just copy one of Squads gamemodes or fully implement Escalation mod gamemode

there are countless amounts of game modes in arma 3
Squad is nice but there are reason I would rather not, first starting with squads and being forced to become squad lead because someone created a squad so they could delete it and have the squad play hot potato with the role. Second once you are squad lead you get some 17 year old on power trip as command, or worse command that tries to micro manage the team that just ends up feeding you into a meat grinder without changing tactics. The whole force you into a squad and then force you to listen to some nut bag sucks.
At least with reforger you can hop on for 20 minutes without taking an earful or directly dragging the team down, I can basically play however I want without directly compromising the mission. With squad if you aren't together then you're fucked as a team. That may be fine for squad but most Arma players in general aren't super talkative let alone always in the right mindset to work together. I know plently of people who can push and win the game with 5/16 people but most of them hop on with a gameplay loop in mind, not to play the meta and get a boring win. Now that TP is in, it feels like you have to play the meta(TP) in order to keep the game alive

I did give feedback that it should be changed, so names in the config shouldn't be kicked, so hopefully we get that, so we aren't forced to login all the time.

This is how other games similar to conflict gameplay do it, and they are perfect. Instead of a person having the radio on them, other games force you to deploy it on the ground, and it makes noise so finding it inside bushes is not impossible.

Arsenal is still relevant. For base defense. If I repel a first wave tryingvto cap a base I can breath a sigh of relief that il take a short walk to an arsenal to re arm, and not have anxiety whether i will start running dry during a 2nd wave. Another reason why I still prefer to spawn hard top humved even if don't have the rank of Sgt to get the 50 cal mount. Because it atill comes pre loaded with some spare ammo and grenades. That me snd follow team mates can reaarm from the vehicle

It's difficult to dedicate base defenders with game that has only 32 players on official servers. On a map the size of everon. On custom servers that jave beyond 64 sure I guess, more flexibility for defense. Perhaps being able to command ai will supplement a smaller player count and make base defending more feasible.

There is not enough content (firearms\vehicles) to create a good KotH style mode rn. There will be no point in unlocks and other progression with only like 3 different weapon types and 2-4 different firearms in each type

I wish that when you "check injuries" all the wounded things would pop up. Meaning you can see easily what is bleeding and where.
Currently it just makes it available for you to look for the wounded limbs yourself. All the info only pops up once you find the damaged limb.

as a form of feedback id request the developers to code M72 law to be discarded onto the ground after the rocket is fired, rather then forcing the player to fold it up to draw thier primary, or manually dump it from inventory. its a single shot AT weapons its meant to be disposed after use. SOG prarie fire did this.

i have only gotten items stuck in my hands on less than 10 occasions throughout my time playing since the game released, so it is rather rare for me at least, but it is very annoying when it is present

I would say that the current night is better since, with the exception of floodlights, there is not really a way to counter the darkness. On one hand I do miss not being able to see anyone around me and getting into funny mixups where I am suddenly in the middle of an enemy squad without either of us realising. On the other hand I also like being able to play normally at night, until flares are added.

- the flashlights still have their uses, I meant mainly for outside navigation. The light on your screen would make it harder to see the surroundings and thus movement was harder. For interiors the flashlights work great

I think there should be a way to tell who the enemy is that is talking over your radio in conflict mode and being able to mute them. There always seems to be that one enemy who gets your radio and subsequently starts being unbearably annoying, racist, or just generally really toxic.

Why is there no option to invert mouse vertically for only aircraft control? The default mouse aircraft control feels wrong to me, pulling back the mouse should pull back the cyclic but it pushes forward by default.

the fps drops are bad too, playing solo gm with nothing spawned in but my character and aiming and shooting with the vanilla m16 with a scope around city’s drops my fps by like 20-30….

Anyone using controller having trouble pulling up the attachment radial wheel? It quickly disappears as soon as i pull it up. Not sure if its been reported yet.
Just finished my first match on 1.0 and experienced super low server fps. It would fluctuate from like 20 all the way down to 8 fps. The helis were almost unflyable because of it. My ping was at around 40-60 and my normal frames were 60fps
Restarting my game fixed that issue for me. Might be worth a try if you haven’t already.
The match ended. It just seemed like a huge issue with the playability so I thought I would post it here. Thanks though

Anyway, old bug that you may or may not be aware of. When the weapon a player is holding is in "low ready", you cannot fire right away by just pressing the trigger. It's bugged and you need to hit the trigger (which only gets you out of "low ready" to gun up), then release the trigger and hit it again to fire. Otherwise, you're stuck with your pants down holding the trigger and no bullets are coming out of your gun which gets you killed 100% of the time in CQB when using full auto.
This is on Xbox anyway. Please fix

There’s a helicopter bug when you fly around and you land somewhere none of the base services show up and no other vehicles, and or players can be seen until you are on the ground which causes you to crash your helicopter accidentally because you don’t know that there’s anything there. When will this get fixed?

devs are completely and totally psychopathic for saying this is a 1.0 release. it would be worth the bad press to delete literally every single video and tweet and press release about this being 1.0 and just pretending that didnt happen
im of course not even talking about feature sets or roadmaps. that is irrelevant to me. the fact im still getting crashes and disconnects this far into development is completely and totally unacceptable. you should feel embarassed you have a game that is essentially a walking simulator and 10 minutes into your walk you get thrown out of the game.
i dont give out negative reviews on steam usually because its not worth the time. but you should all really be ashamed you didnt fix the SINGLE issue that stopped this game from being massively popular at launch.

I play on PBS too, and live in SEA. So the ping usually below 200 plus minus. And never had disconnect yet since don't know how long ago. Hitreq still quite a problem though...
This guy is completely right... if the issue of disconnection was fixed and the player count per server was 64+, you guys would be dominating the industry right now. Especially on Xbox, where all other AAA titles are tanking hard due to lack of innovation and terrible fundamental decisions from top of major companies.
This, so far, has been a massive failure of what could have been an incredible opportunity based on this single issue alone.

I guess you could setup a tree manager that holds state of all destroyed trees by entity id, and then it would send it to connecting players etc, so basically when you hit 1000 destroyed trees people get kicked out of the server for flooding network
That "single issue" you guys are referring to likely has quite a lot of causes, not just one. Making it sound like there's only one bug as the cause.

I was not sure whether to put this here or in conflict. Logistics players deserve more benefits and control over base building. Doubling XP for them over front line forces that take objectives. It would be nice to allow building of objects within structures. For example if I build a medical tent.. adding additional objects like tables and desks and things that support medical duties should increase heal times. Also why are bunks and furniture not have actions for sitting? Especially medical cost and stretchers.

We're saying that this issue should have been an "all hands on deck" from the company to solve and solely focus on MONTHS ago. I certainly wouldn't care about any new content coming out for as long as it took for them to iron out this problem. The fact of the matter is that the disconnection issue has been extraordinarily damaging to this game.

I just joined a server, spawned on a radio operator, players, and building did not render for me, I walked in what looks like an empty server, 150fps which was 👌 , few minutes later, I dropped dead.
When I spawned back, everything was there.

Expanding the usage of the Red Cross
Before I begin this concept, I want you to have some background. I'm a huge gamer, and when I play games, especially war games, I'm always looking for the medic role. I enjoy getting my teammates back up way more than I do shooting at the enemy. I feel 10x more useful healing then I do shooting. But I look back on history and note that medics throughout war have not always been combatants during conflict - the Red Cross was made so that way medical personnel and wounded could receive treatment, without fear of being fired upon. Despite the addition of the Red Cross on ambulances, they are still shot at regardless of intention. People are also free to drive this ambulance, regardless of their intention. This concept I have here aims to improve this system of using the Red Cross, using both historical context and logic. It won't be 100% focused on realism, but it should be written in a way to do away with confusion. Feel free to ping with questions.
Medics
Those who want to play medic should have two options. They either play as the combat medics, who bears arms and takes and saves lives - or be the field medic, marked with Red Cross insignia and their medical supplies, helping players while being completely unarmed in the process. I believe both playstyles can co-exist if implemented properly. Let me go into the usage of the Red Cross for individual players
Red Cross markings
Regardless of faction, players should be able to equip special Red Cross cosmetics exclusive to the hospital structure. Anyone can grab an armband, but doing so will immedietly strip you of any weapons and ammo, and prevent you from picking any up. Now, this obviously causes problems for some people. To put it simply, this is to prevent confusion. You see, if a person wearing the red cross is carrying a weapon, or CAN be carrying a weapon for that matter, people will shoot the Red Cross regardless of their intention, to avoid being shot in the back when they ain't lookin. But, if they're 100% unarmed, no chance of fighting back, players might avoid shooting these guys when possible. Now, there doesn't have to be a real punishment for shooting these guys. But one thing I would suggest, is that if a player is repeatedly harming enemy medical personnel, they turn invisible for that player only. I get it - it's not realistic. But it doesn't end up with anyone getting banned, and prevents intentional war crimes at the same time. Kill 2 or more medics while they're visible and they all go invisible, including ambulances. They become re-visible if you get interacted with by enemy medics or ambulances.
Ambulance rework
The ambulance looks freaking sick. I love the design of both of them. However, the Red Cross on the sides doesn't mean anything to anybody. People will and have treated them as transport vehicles, or assault vehicles, full gas peddle to the next objective. That shouldn't be the case. Here's my proposal to make it more similar to it's real life purpose:
-Only players wearing the Red Cross could drive these vehicles
-Only medical supplies can be inside
-Only Medics can sit in the non wounded seat (Red Cross)
-Only players who have taken damage (from the enemy, not just allies) may lay in the wounded beds
-Can't run people over
Now, I've had this discussion before with some real military people, but medics who don't wear the Red Cross are allowed to drive Red Cross ambulances. I get that this is how it works in real life, but in a game this is confusing and causes more trouble than it's worth. In real life, an ambulance driver might lack the red cross but have full intention on using the ambulance for its purpose. But in game? Not so much. The ambulance in its state is not always used as it should be, which results in it taking a lot of fire from enemies as it is seen as just another enemy vehicle. So, to avoid confusion, only Red Cross medics would be able to drive it around.

"War Crimes" system
I believe the only thing that happens when a player destroys an ambulance is that they get a point added to their war crime score, or something. Very silly. You get points for doing war crimes? I can't see why people wouldn't want that number as high as possible... lol. Do away with the scoring for war crimes. People will do war crimes for "funny" and then be like "look at all the war crimes I've done my points are so high".
I mentioned this earlier, but here's the idea for I have currently for prevention of attacking the Red Cross
Public, default servers
Upon destroying
-2 Medical personnel
-1 Ambulance
All enemy medics and enemy ambulances become invisible to you for a period of 15 minutes. This timer ends early if an enemy medic or ambulance member interacts with you, whether that be treating you or putting you in their ambulance. Now, just because they're invisible, doesn't mean you can't kill them. But it will ensure that if you do, it's probably an accident.
Private servers can dictate if they want this punishment, as well as apply others as they see fit. For example, a server focused more on realism may decide to temporarily kick players who willingly attack a number of Red Cross medics or ambulances. Up to their discretion, of course.
Is it known you don’t get exp when delivering supplies? I keep having this issue. Also does it mean you don’t get the supply’s to count towards the 5000 achievement?
I got xp when delivering supplies while playing Conflict earlier.
I get them the first time, after that I don’t until I die and then I only get first time again

You're opening the door to that by acknowledging that, yes, the are told by their boss what to do. As it stands, when we’re known to be compromised or after a few lost firefights, we create a few new squads until we get one that’s a few hertz off where we were. It’s a functional workaround but would prefer if the squad lead could just edit the frequency in the squad edit menu

Thank you very much for splitting the tutorials up! I hated having to go through movement, driving, and shooting if I suspected there was something new later on in the tutorial.
General
- When you finish a tutorial you should start back at the bulletin board you were already at instead of the starting location
- There should be something marking which tutorials you have completed
- Vehicles should go Basic > Advanced > Helicopter instead of Basic > Helicopter > Advanced (given that they tell you to do the Advanced one in Basic)
First Aid Course
- It's weird to make the player drive in the First Aid Course since the Ambulance isn't used at all and they may not have done the driving course yet
Helicopter Basics
- Some kind of marker over the Altimeter would be nice and also explain that it is in feet and not meters
Advanced Driving Tutorial
- Hitting a tree ends the training without any kind of feedback of why that is. Is that just a parameter for failure? Did I damage the HMMWV? I barely hit the tree so I'm not sure.
- When driving to the damaged vehicle the Park and Get Out prompt is several waypoints too early
- The Get out prompt is F when moving towards the damaged vehicle. F only works if you look at the door too. Shouldn't it be X?
- I don't feel like the repairing part is adequately explained. There was a # / # thing at the end when repairing? What was that? I assume supplies but only because I saw people talking about it on Discord. What happens if I park too far away?
Base Tour
- Command post doesn't explain capturing (which probably comes up later but it was my first question when I saw the description)
- Explain the uses of supplies at each location better and how to know if you have enough
- Living Quarters and ammunition depot are too close. If you go from ammunition depot to living quarters the description of living quarters doesn't pop up because the ammunition depot one is still there
Could you guys change the default angle that third POV is for looking down at vehicles?
The current angle is way too steep, looking more downward than forward. Maybe lower it by 15 to 20 degrees?
This is especially bothersome when flying the helicopter. Definitely 20 degrees or more needed for that
Tutorial Feedback Part 2:
Support Structures
- After building the Light vehicle maintenance point it says Continue by exiting the building mode but doesn't say where to do that. Nothing says Exit. Play as character is the option given but that isn't very clear. There are dumber people than me who may not make that connection immediately... not many, but some.
- When exiting the truck there is no prompt on how to do that and it's possible the player would not have learned how to drive yet.
- Text for disassembling should probably be Disassemble and not Disassembly
- Waypoint for stop truck near the command post is inside the tent and stopping out front didn't trigger the next prompt (Engine was still on when I got out). Unloaded supplies and no new prompt still. Got back in and turned engine off. No new prompt. Got back in and backed into tent and got a we'll make an engineer out of you yet completion message but I'm not sure if anything else was supposed to happen between these two prompts.
Capturing
- Got in the HMMWV right off the bat and after looking at the map the prompt disappeared way too quickly. And now I have no idea what to do. Really annoying having to run across the base to get back to the bulletin board when I had to restart here.
- Prompt went away way too fast again even though I didn't get in the HMMWV. Drove to command post and captured base. Got in the Command truck. No idea what I'm supposed to be doing. It isn't nice to punish people who can't speed read! Return to base again and another run across the base. (Boo for no + / - time speed controls like in RV)
- Tried again. Read from the end this time. It said something about pressing J to bring up an objective list but nothing ever comes up. Clicked on the nearest objective and assigned it to myself. Drove over to it and captured it. No new prompt.
I'm stopping here since this one is clearly bugged
As I'm sure you Devs are already aware, there is a big problem with rubberbanding in vehicles right now.
However, in my experience so far, it only seems to be really bad on cross play servers. When I play on Xbox only servers it's probably a 2/10 how bad it is. On cross play, it's a 9/10. Not sure if that helps identify the issue for you guys or if you already know the cause
That is directly related to the server's performance (or server fps).
Saw a lot of people get dropped/kicked while playing tonight. Fortunately not me though. Did run into some rubberbanding issues. A lot of animation issues with other players.
Had a grenade picture in my #4 spot but no grenades which was annoying.
Not a huge fan of attacking bases while endless waves of enemy spawn in (with maybe spawn protection couldn't tell 100%)

Nights are way too bright, instead of finding a balance between realistic and playable you fully went for the playable and made it mandatory instead of making it completely optional.

Which side? Usually different countries have different tracers, at least in Arma, convention has been BLUFOR -> red, OPFOR -> yellow/green, INDFOR -> yellow/green
It's probably to do with all the random civvie cars and trucks scattered all over the map. But on that subject of the budget I'm sure it has decreased overall. Feels like before the update you were able to spawn in more stuff on GM mode.
Also not sure if it has been brought up, probably has already. But the server fps drops down to awfully low speed while in GM, before any one says its our server, it never did this before the update, with way more assets spawned in.
Have you ever tried placing stuff on the edge of harbours it always gets all weird or funny
In the advanced vehicle tutorial it says "Get in the construction truck" when it's actually a repair truck.

A couple of my servers have been dropping down to single digit fps since the update. Seems to be whenever the system budget goes over 100%?

Please return steam workshop and mod manager that's outside the game. The current system is wack. I have ZERO idea why it has been decided to put it in game.
- Incredibly slow download
- Sometimes doesnt want to download at all
- Corrupts the mods
- Dependencies are sometimes not downloaded so you have to hunt them manually
- Says it downloaded a mod when upon entering the server again it asks to be downloaded again
- The UI is horrid, we need a list that looks like a list from mod A3 launcher
- "Game mod content doesn't match server mod content" after literally doing a clean download
- Again, incredibly slow download

Could you please put the same components in the deer stand as you do the guard towers? The AI will not shoot from the deer stand. Why populate the map with deer stands but not allow AI to shoot from them.
And yes I added the AISmart components to the AI but they still do not shoot from the deer stand.

The framerate issue has to be top priority, and hotfixed. It is absolutely terrible.

yeppers me too. Which I don't understand because in experimental mode it was ok towards the end to the testing period. But release is very bad.
I knew the writing was on the wall when my performance halved on server and my client on our little Experimental run we did. But I do agree, it was not as apparent even when we were filled on our experimental 100 slot server.
Now at launch, it’s essentially a 5 minute clock before all FPS decides to take a vacation without constant GM intervention. 😂
So it's a general vanilla issue? (Server fps tanking) I thought it might be related to some specific mods, but if it's a general vanilla issue that would make a lot more sense. Ran the same mods in stable before the update with no fps issues like this.

Focusing really needs to be a simple button press or hold again. As I said in another channel mistakenly, the changes to the controls should be reverted to the state prior to this update.
And honestly that includes all the controls, even those of the quick slots and especially gear selection in vehicles. The only good change that came with it was the improved selection wheel and being able to turn on your high beams with a button press/hold.
wearing enemy gear should make your friendly killing you not penalize them.

Probably should have launched the helicopter update with the Hind for Russia. Most people are choosing to play the US side based on quality of helicopters and other equipment. I've seen an average of 20 US to 10 RU.
So far, that's been my experience every round I've played since 1.0. It definitely makes a difference in how well your team performs, too. Maybe others have different experience with this? Idk
Wearing enemy uniform should make it randomly too big or looking like lederhosen. Since irl there isnt 1 size fits all.
I prefer huey for flying but mi8 for capacity. I always manage to snag mi8 on something...

Ive seen a lot of people asking about saving conflict progress. It currently requires you to manually delete the save file at match end or else everything saved gets loaded in so you're capturing fully built bases on the new match. I know its still experimental but it worked fine up until that last exp update before "1.0 Release"

I'm not aware of performance issues on server yet. Every servers I saw with performance issue is modded ones
Vanilla client still tanks FPS by using Arsenal, this will be fixed in a future update

ok thanks! I used to run TFM mods before stable 1.0 release, now the two servers i run those mods on are tanking hard. the 3rd server not using those mods seems to run quite a bit better

When using a mouse on Xbox, theres some invisible barrier abt a quarter up the screen preventing me from my cursor going any lower in the menu.
Also itd be baller if there would be a "Look" binding in the settings so i could unbind it on my controller so ny stick drift doesnt affect my keyboard and mouse usage

I think that Reforger would be the right time to really address the focus that ARMA has on running dedicated servers; and make it so that they're not necessary for people to play or play with small groups of friends. This along with the whole SP/MP separation that prevents things like drop in MP for people.
So a player should be able to play alone, save, load back in and be able to also play with friends; all painlessly done on the same mission/scenario.
This would allow your average player to easily and painlessly play long missions with their friends and really get into what all ARMA can do.
Right now the game is really best suited to single missions or campaigns composed of single missions run by people/groups who will keep their own dedicated server running.
And that IMO really cuts out a lot of what ARMA could do if those limitations were addressed.
Think of stuff like Western Sahara; which would've been amazing if people could actually do this stuff instead of needing to keep a server running just to play with friends. Or think of how interesting something like Old Man could be if you could have friends drop into a game you'd hitherto been playing by yourself. Or even something like Combat Ops here could be played by people with different friends over multiple play sessions.
IMO this (when a new engine is being developed) really is the best time to look at addressing this weakness of the series; and it would really expand the scope of what would be possible with the Engine and with ARMA 4.
I have a big issue with Reforger. The graphics are of course really much better than in Arma 3...but unfortunatly all the specular effects on surfaces are much too specular. This breaks the realism. Arma 3 still looks much more realistic because everything is much more diffuse. I am a 3D Artist my self and I understand the urge to show of the new Enfusion Engine Graphics....and this is why many 3D Artist push the reflections and Specular highlights to show everything can be soo shiny...but it is just not realistic. I hope you will tone down the specular reflections and make them more diffuse for Arma 4. Reforger currently looks like toy. What do you guys think?

Another Example...the biggest Problem in my opinion is weapons and Helmets
but also vehicles look too clean...there needs to be roughness maps and a dirt layer on vehicles to break down the perfect plastic look
i have one of theses helmets irl and tbh i think it looks fine, but maybe a bit smaller, it is one of the few things i think they got the specularity right
yeah maybe these helments are really shiny....modern helments tend to have a cloth layer on them...But overall the Speculars and cleanness of things should be checked....Reforger just does not look right overall.
There is a reason why Arma 3 Footage is used so much also in Fake News Videos of war footage. Arma 3 is just looking right. Reforger somehow can not hold up.

ok i am being very nitpicky here but i cant handle it any longer, there is a weird triangle under the m16 sight most likely caused by some odd model normals, if one of your artists fix this i will be very pleased, oh and also the weird ak texture

those helmets have no cloth on them, search up photos on them and you see they are quite shiny...
besides, you seem to be comparing two games that use two different rendering techniques, A3 if im not mistaken uses a shader based approach while reforger uses PBR, which tends to make things have more shine to them
The BTR is in an awful state right now. Last night, we shot at one seven rockets, and it remained perfectly functional. I had to plant a mine, and trick them into driving over it to destroy it, even then it wasn't destroyed, just killed the crew.
Planted another mine under it, and shot it, didn't effect it. Eventually, I had to plant two mines under it, and it was destroyed when someone tried to drive it away.
The notifications, even after the rework, are still bad for the experience.
Even the "Enemies/friendlies are capturing this base". You are fighting for a base, action all around you, but this massive notification is always on the screen like a stamp on your forehead.

On our game last night, the budget didn't go over 100% and the server still still dropped to around 2-10 fps in GM. Which is odd as earlier in the day we doing 30-60fps.

i really think this is a hitreg issue. the btr hitboxes arent perfect, but if you go into sp where hitreg isnt a problem, rpgs can consistently 1shot the engine + transmission if you hit the right spot
it seems like they do almost no damage to the overall vehicle health, but generally function right with destroying vehicle components and killing crew

i havent seen any unusual functionality in singleplayer with the btrs, just in multiplayer.
even with laws its the same, yes sometimes tires wont pop for whatever reason, the engine or transmission might go to orange instead of red, but through a shitton of sp playtime and a little testing, the btr itself seems fine
Here is an idea, the more gear you have, the higher your weight is, the more noise you make when you move. significantly more.

Queues just mean 30 people will pile up waiting on server #1 instead of going to another perfectly good server and getting that going.
What we need is for people to stop gatekeeping server advertisements and let the community grow out from a handful of overcrowded servers.

I need to clarify that I don't ONLY mean the sound of footsteps should be louder, more so I meant the sound of gear like the backpack, the gun straps, the vest makes a lot of sound when you move, alot more when you carry tons of it on you.
I've been in a BTR tanking rockets and HEDP. Its not pleasant and most players don't realize 90% of that vehicle is open space.
Rattling and clanking would be a really nice touch if youre crazy overloaded with large box mags or an lmg+dmr

I keep getting tons of players complaining about "server lag" when it's actually client side lag due to this new arsenal bug. Would be nice if y'all made an announcement about yet another known issue instead of letting all the players think it's the server crapping itself, cuz that's what they're all assuming.
Server fps issue is a whole other thing, I'm actually amazed players still play on my servers once the fps drops down to less than 5 fps. Not the best experience for many players. I posted a bunch of errors that may or may not be related here: #reforger_servers message
With the fast travel mechanic I don't think the respawning civilian vehicles are worth the performance hit aside from the handful spawning in supply depots. There seems to be as many cars as players and that can't be performative.

Maybe it’s just me but helis taking each other out by ramming into each others rotors seems kind of broken. I’ve never worked with helicopters before irl but I would assume both helicopters would come out of that collision in a pretty bad state.

Yeah. It also doesn’t help that the game demotes you if you die in the crash after your rotor gets taken out. My friend got bumped down to corporal in a match flying the MI-8 because Huey’s kept taking out his rotors and the game counted him dying in the crash as a suicide.
