No idea. Haven't even (deliberately) downloaded any mods for the game. But maybe deactivating some mods and only running Kunar could help

I think Kunar has been mentioned to be badly compatible with many other mods
if you have other map mods enabled at the same time that might be the problem or having the bmp or abrams enabled causes problem with kunar

Some version of It was already in the last version; you just have to assign a key to open the menu. But you need to make a mod to let you assign the key.

The same as in gamemaster; it's a radial menu with all the options for giving orders from gamemaster, with one more option to recruit.

Gamemaster is a gamemode where nothing is place (empty map) and then a gamemaster (or multiple) place down stuff and make mission on the fly

Movement is by my arrow keys, works on most servers. but some.......if i raise the weapon....then i can't move forward! i can move left and right but not forward and back.
I can move forward n back with the WS keys though!
This only happens when i'm sighting the weapon.

Just know that there is no real singleplayer element at all in this game - that is a huge deviation from all previous Arma games. if you are only here for the co/op or MP -then you might really enjoy it

To me it look's much better without any of the anti aliasin stuff.
It make's the game look very blurry and as mentioned take's a lot of FPS on top of it as well.
Yeah I play without any anti aliasing in 4k. But the moving jagged edges is a little jarring. Dlss3 solves this problem and almost doubles your frames in some games. In Tarkov I went from 60fps to 115fps better visual quality and somehow! lower latency. Really is amazing tech
Arma reforger keeps installing all of my add ons to my d drive & it’s making it run slow. Any ideas on how to change where my mods are being installed?
There is a command line parameter called -addonsDir that defines where the game looks for addons. I don't know if it will download mods to that directory, too, but you might want to try... you can add by right-clicking on Reforger, chosing "Properties", and then adding "-addonsDir drive:\folder" to "Launch Options"

Right click on Arma Reforger in the Steam library, select Properties, and you will see something like this above. The red arrow points to the "Launch Options", jus type what you've been told there

Hey got a question buddy was telling me to pick this game up and I was wondering if it's worth a buy and if the game is dead or not seen mixed reviews on steam?
The game is great with mods. base game doesn't have too much to offer but its still pretty enjoyable if you play right. It can be very buggy at times, Overall I suggest you look at gameplay videos and such to get the gist, Though I'd recommend it.

From what I understand the old ofp/arma engine had trouble simulating complex gun mechanics like bolt action rifles or pump action shotguns. So most of the mods featuring these weapons systems were reliant on some pretty heavy scripting.
How is the enfusion engine in this regard? Can we expect some more native like support for modeling a bolt action rifle or loading individual shells into a shotgun?

yea, I mean, it was not so taxing for cpu but it was more hacky so i.e. glitches here and there happened
animation wise support for things like that bolt action rifles is sort of nicer, since you can handle quite a lot
but per bullet handling would be sort of more complicated - I don't think there is scripting API to change composition of magazines on the fly yet
I'm completely ignorant on development, but is the per bullet handling really such a big obstacle for BI to implement? At face value it seems like such a basic feature that most games support
I can name DayZ but not really other games. 🤔 most games are just hit R for reload and you magically get new magazine thats full or whatever you have left on total ammo count
Most shooters (let's just say AA and up; and even then I realize im generalizing somewhat) generally have some sort of sniper bolt action rifle and shotgun that supports per bullet loading mechanics. Sure they sometimes cheat with revolves and speadloaders I'll give you that.

It isn't known but 99.9% sure none of those will be a thing in Reforger. Out of all of them old people has the highest chance and then women but probably not women still.
That's too bad. Would be cool to see civilians fleeing towns as the armies start clashing during Conflict (or any other scenario)
Well, according to the roadmap we will (most likely) get civilian clothing, so if the AI gets updated for it as well it should be possible
That said, clothing and gear shouldn't be an issue (at least for males), those are relatively easy to add, either core or modded.
AI however might be a bit different, and I'm not sure yet about a factions/side system yet (BLUFOR vs OPFOR vs IND vs CIV) because all we have now is BLUFOR vs OPFOR
I think the devs are too scared to reintroduced civilians, more so woman and less so elderly in their games.
DayZ SA already has women welding weapons so i doubt there's an insurmountable technical reason to not introduce female characters
@minor spear I mean, think about all the id10ts who make poorly done videos using arma with the title being "ukraine war: russian su-57 get destroyed by c ram" and now think about the same geniuses making a video of "US military executing woman and elderly in iraq" and news doing a report on it putting the spot light on Bi for allowing people to do this in a game, I mean look at all the news reports of terrorist using arma. but maybe I'm wrong, maybe they are just really lazy on animating woman in game. IMHO look at how other video games treat these conflicting subjects like fallout, with having invincible children, and how woman are portrayed in the resident evil remakes I think BI shares a similar mindset to that of keeping a low profile not wanting to draw such attention.
I really don't think that's the reason, unless BI come out and say so. If they were so worried about randos making clips about it, they'd not make Arma in the first place.
Besides, for every example you've cited there's games that have women in it, wielding weapons and getting hit by said weapons, including as I said, DayZ.
So really this is more presumption and speculation. At least with Arma 3 there were issues of refitting uniforms/vests etc and skeletons and dealing with an old engine etc etc. With Enfusion there's good evidence that's less of a problem.
There is a bad habit of people making uninformed speculation and representing that as the developer's position, and using that to shoot down perfectly valid requests. Not that it matters either way but it's been going on for a decade or more and it's honestly quite tiring.
a lot of changes where made when ivan got arrested for espionage, I think they are still very careful about a lot of things ever since. and plus dayz has no civilians only survivors
Its been a year of early access and the game is still in a convoluted state so I doubt this will be out for another year.

My mod has civilians. AI and players alike can just have no faction set and they are considered non combatant
The clothes come from another mod, and I disable a bunch of their AI features and just give them random waypoints to walk around
Whenever the game is released would be the earliest date, and as just discussed, that is likely to be a long time from now.
Blame Sony for not allowing early access games.

I play on PC and haven't crashed at all, but the game caters to a specific type of person. If you're expecting Arma 3, it's not there yet.
The main modes are Game Master and then some servers that play out as a larger style uncoordinated battlefield
If you play on a game master server, expect to be waiting a while for the GM to make ops since the tools for quick OP creation aren't quite there yet
The mods are what makes it fun though, so expect to download many GBs of mods
My advice would be to join a group that sends out pings when an OP is about to start, otherwise you'll dedicate at least 45 minutes hanging out in a lobby for something to go
So many cool games are generated with little staff and great quality because they are using existing engines like Unity or Unreal ... a serious question: Why is Bohemia not doing that and is investing in a self-made engine? Don't get me wrong - I am a big fan since OFP and I understand the decisions in those days but today? There must be a good reason for doing that ... that I dont get? Selling another Sim to the Military and avoiding western technology?
well they dont wanna use no stinky unreal for their big open world games for reasons unknown to us, but they are very valid since they have used unreal in the past
other engines cant properly do the big stuff

Its one of the biggest features of it, yes
Especially in Vanilla where gamemodes like Capture the Island let you just have squads and squads of AI to run around with
Each player having the ability of having their own AI such as leading armored vehicle columns or just groups of infantry
Helicopters, AI control, and better movement are the biggest things I hear people wanting in order to get them to switch from 3 to Reforger

For me and the unit I play with there's a lot more involved before we can switch to Reforger/Arma 4. And yes, content and core features are a part of that, but mostly stability (engine, server and mods) and connectivity (we need to connect our website to the game).
And tbf, if we can't play Reforger we'll wait till Arma 4 (and use Reforger as a development platform for out tools)

Need a server provider ans it's usually pay per slot
Pay a game server provider or follow the documentation on creating a dedicated server in either windows or linux.
Alternatively you can host a server in-game if you are on PC.(may need port forwarding)

The frequency is a suggestion for nearby players to use so they can communicate and coordinate their attack on the base.

To edit a faction wide arsenal, do I have to edit the faction config and manually add the items there like with the FactionManager component for Campaign, or do I manually override every single weapon in my dependent mods and add the ArsenalItem component to them?
Hello, i am in the world editor in the tools, i save a modified sub scene verision of Eden : to do this i use the "Save word as " i write my file name . When i load it, ( i select the correct file ) it load my save, from what i see with the title of the modified word on top of the screen; BUT nothing of what i added is in the word/save. Could someone help figure out if my save process or loading process is wrong ? Thank you very much
have you tried to save that subscene inside of some subfolder in your addon? I.e. Worlds folder

Play the tutorial
First, you need a supply truck. You can spawn one at any vehicle depot, it costs 150 supply points.
Once you have your truck, you need to drive it to a supply depot, Marked by green circles on the map.
One you are near those supply depots, you go down from the truck and approach the back side of it, You will get a list to interact with. Hold F to add supplies to the truck.
Once the supplies are in the truck, you have to drive it to the base you want to move the supplies to. When you are there, leave the truck and approach the back again. This time you can interact with it and hold F to drop supplies in that base.
Supplies are used to build building in the base and spawn vehicles, and supplies are spent for each players that spawn on that base.

I know that everyone claims to hate the number menu system but I really hope I'm not going to have to use my mouse to tell guys to do stuff like return to formation when for the past 20 years that's only taken the pressing of the same button twice.

I liked it since I could remove the big pouch in the back of the US vest so it doesn't clip with weapons and backpack.

There is an open top UAZ un the files and accessible with mods but I'll be honest I don't like it because it uses animations and sounds from the standard closed UAZ so you're rolling down the highway and it sounds like the vehicle is closed when the wind is blowing in your face

So I've been away from reforger for a bit until recently, less so with the modding scene. Is there a reason that new game modes (besides DayZ) haven't been created yet for online servers? For example, A3s Invade and Annex?

I had the thought of recreating some old OFP missions but then realized the lack of features and content prevents most of them. Lack of AI driving being a big one.

Yeah every Everon mission is lacking something. AI Driving being a big one but also things like helicopters, tanks, or civilian vehicles and clothes. Clean Sweep can be done if you don't add the extraction chopper but that's it.
Honestly I can get past armor and assets missing but yeah the core feature of AI driving is a tough one. Proper helicopter models, fixed wing models (not that Everon is big enough) and even stuff like mortars are some big ones
Modding can add assets, that's the whole point of reforger. But the core tech is a big one
I do really like what I see so far with the AI. Lots smarter than A3's AI so far, save for the fact that the coordination & pushing strategy seems pretty atrocious
No driving and no ability to take cover is what kills it for me. Not to mention them not being able to hit each other from 8m away sometimes. Or getting stuck in buildings... or going over a fence, then back over, and back again, and again, and again.
The cover thing is the biggest one. It feels like some generic action movie or the mandalorian where bad guys just keep running at the protagonist and getting gunned down.
Well maybe cover is 2nd biggest. Driving being the biggest. At least that way I could have more than 1 threat
I will disagree on the accuracy part. They're pretty good shots, saw an AI snipe a player team leader from about 200 meters firing only 5 rounds. Ironically AI snipers are worse shots. Taking about 2 minutes of aiming and then missing 90% of their shots, followed by another two minutes of aiming.
That said the AI is still not great and AI driving makes doing anything in PVE much more janky

Its quite a bit of effort, we did do it one way but it got broke some time later. The scenario framework is out but seems to be missing most of the documentation on the biki. Personally I've just held off making coop scenarios for now until we get AI driving and helos.

Bunkers, firing positions, sandbags, and roadblocks can be built anywhere. Vehicles depot, armory, antenna, field hospital, and supply depot can only be built in specific locations around capture points.
If you speak on the radio, it will show on their screen as "Unknown source" so they can tell it is the enemy speaking.

The best spot to build a base like you want is around a supply depot, you have unlimited amount of supplies to build a massive FOB. You will also get ton of action since the enemy will keep coming there because they need supplies.
On Game Master yes. On Conflict, no.

There is also a timer between spawning vehicles, so you can spawn one each minute or two.

Not an Xbox player myself, but have you tried updating them manually through the mod manager tab in the workshop ? Could try with some of them, and whichever don't work, delete them and redownload through the workshop maybe.

Empty your xbox storage a redownload the mods you need for the server, or quit game after listing the mods the need updating and do them one at a time in the workshop.

@still canyon (or any other BI representative) can I ask for an explanation of how the "kick player" vote process actually works in official Conflict servers? What is required in order for this to succeed? Is it a minimum proportion of players voting or a minimum number of players voting? Does it include the opposition team votes too? Would be good to know, because almost every game there is some player that needs to be kicked by player vote, but I very rarely see it actually work (would be less than 10% of the time)

Why isn't it possible to push down the rear sight on the M2 Browning? Considering I see the second rear sight thingy modeled in-game, why not be able to push down the current one to use that one? Mainly asking due to how limited the FOV is on the M2 rn

I've been looking into tutorials but they either tell you how to make Custom Maps or how to load mods into a Hosted Server on some Third-Party site.
We have the mods loaded to the Server - Just wanting to load said assets and pre-setup Spawn locations.

Why can't you download mods while Reforger is running in the background? You need to have it actively open. Was there already a suggestion to change that? Or answers stating it's currently not possible due to engine limitations etc.

BTR is only as strong as it's crew, simple as.
BTR is best when used as a mobile armed spawn point. Or if used to destroy supply lines from a far.
For 7.62 to be most reliable against the BTR, you either need to be at slightly higher elevation so you aren't hitting the sides at an angle or shoot around the wheels.
Shooting right in front of the front wheel will very quickly kill the gunner.
Or as an armored MG emplacement, saw enemies use one like that from 200 meters on Gogland, killed like a dozen dudes
Definitely the BTR is powerful in combat if used correctly (at a distance and/or with infantry), but it is also dead from a single M2 Jeep flanking it.
Barely anyone uses the BTR properly, and I almost never see the US spawning M2 vehicles. Usually it's a couple of M72 rockets when the BTR comes unreasonably close. 🥴

Besides, sights in games can never actually work as they would IRL (besides in VR, sort of), and games often have to adjust to make them useable. Doesn't Reforger only have the big aperture on the rear sight of the M16 for this reason?

aim in IRL is much more difficult than aiming in a game where the alignment is automatic. with head tracking you would just set up a dead zone so your not moving your view while aiming, or toggle it on and off

BTR has an LMG for taking out soldiers, whereas the M2 is only a HMG, has horrible sights, fires more slowly and (I think) has less ammo. Oh also you're not protected. 🥴

Shooting while moving is somewhat possible in the BTR, while with the M2 the sight picture is so awful and small you basically cannot track targets at all

The current sight is not great if you want to track targets, and you can lose moving targets easily because it cover a lot of the screen.
The ability to push it down will make it easier to track moving targets.

You can change your aim down sights field of view angle in the settings, so you might find it’s that as opposed to being a cropped image

If you go to group, you can easily tell the numbers of players on your team.

I don't know an easy way to see those numbers.
You can DYI it by seeing how many scrolling bar you can fit on the right side.
For example, the player menu fits 12.5 players and right now I can roughly fit 7.5 scrolling bars on the side.
That means the server has ~93 players. I left and checked , the server had 96 players, so it is pretty close.
Maybe I'll just request that breakdown on the player screen

Sometimes I won't die to a 40mm but I will have five bleeds.
Maybe I just haven't been wounded by grenades then. I know that 2 of the guys I was with one time said they had bleeds all over their body but then they didn't bandage them and 20 minutes later they were still fine
