It's about warlords mode

The guy only played planes and use some advantage that that plane is hard to destroy in redux mode since defenders had 5min relode time. And I got very angry about that

So I'm not experienced with scripts, but EZM and other scripts has allowed us to have a lot of fun on official PZ servers.

But unfortunately, sometimes there's a troll (or trolls) that get on the server and I guess with scripts causes chaos.

Such as removing myself as admin, making it look like others are team killing, dropping bombs out of nowhere etc...

Is there a way where only the ZM or admin can use scripts?

I assume it depends on the ban reason too. If you are banned for hacking/cheating and other severe violation, your ban can be applied to your Steam account instead and that will exclude you from all games involved from the same publisher/studio.

actually it is important, when he log in to the server, the GUID is recorded there, so ban can be done remotely just with he GUID.

so that the server with Battleye on can automatically blocks the connection

and Dwarden can do more than just that

it is still important to include the server name, past report without server name will result in the report going nowhere since Dwarden can't find the log of it, and he handles about dozens if not hundreds of server for Bohemia.

Just a steam account with a player name is not enough to find the person unfortunately.
And people like that....... they get "new accounts" (hacked/bought cheap) and jump on again spreading the same message, they always will be around unfortunately.

Hey guys, I can't connect to the official koth stress test server since yesterday 03/07/23. It's really weird cuz I see it in server's list and from "internet" tab it always says there is only 0 or 1 players, BUT, if I go to the recent server list, I can see the same server but with 120 players, and I cant connect in any of these case. And if I paste the ip adress of the server in the "connection" tab I dont have any result, no server shown. I tested with other servers and it works really well. Anyone could help pls ??

ban here just means organize a new license. even ip ban makes no sense bc most people use no static ip and even if they do, pay for new and thats it. studios and others may argue for another century and for all i care, with this anonymity its a free ticket to do whatever people want

What troubles me most is the lack of basic features (perma mute/blacklist, report). Bohemia questions every proof bc its easy to manipulate them but there are no ingame options such as screencap or recording provided either.

windows itself provides you means to record through their "xbox overlay"(win + G), and take screenshots using windows' features too(windows + shift+ S)

Because those servers have unpaid people they trust well enough to give them the ability to permanently ban these people while they sit and play for hours on end.

And if you get wrongly banned there it's not a big deal for them since it's some unban appeal on some 2008 looking internet forum or discord

BI sees little reason to pay people to admin their servers full time rather than have a community manager occasionally take action when people bother to contact him.

You're only allowed to run mods which are allowed by the server (either required or optional).
As far as I know the official servers do not allow any mods on the client, however a lot of (public) community servers are modded or allow client-side mods to be used.

Well... all we hear here is that people reported, people have evidence, they sent it to Dwarden but we've seen nothing here.

All I can recommend is to continue creating evidence, videos, time of incident, unique player id and more and ask Dwarden if he needs more

Global bans by Battleye can not be reverted by game developers, battleye ban is Battleye ban and can only be reverted by them (what I have never seen done before) and that is unfortunately for you a "mark for life on your steam profile" and of course MP gaming in Arma 3 with BE protection servers.

In that case the only one who can help you with that is BattlEye, and can't be lifted by Bohemia in any way.

You can try to contact BE (through the contact form on their website) and ask if they review your ban. Just keep in mind that if they don't answer you, they most likely ignored your request (aka valid ban).

BE doesn't ban for trolling... It bans when you run hacks, cheats, memory modifiers, etc.
So even if you were running something in the background, not even related to Arma, it could flag you as a cheater/hacker.

And BE is used in multiple games, so could even be unrelated to Arma

@late kayak Ive been working on a pvp gamemode for pub zeus and have come to the conclution that there is no feasible way to add proper sectors. if possible could you enable us to be able to spawn in our own sectors and their modules with comps. im not asking for triggers, simply just asking for objectives and there logics. Doing this would allow players to make better missions that have connected and progressive objectives that dont need micro managing. and will also alow for more fluid pvp missions!

@late kayak The main problem is the lack of moderation. A huge number of team killers and those who push equipment make it difficult to play. Go to the server sometimes and moderate in real time. An excellent server, which is sometimes impossible to play on. Best wishes.

and you need realize that's mission design problem , the amount of TK reports is out of what can be humanly maintained, there is no simple reliable 'logfile' entry which tells you 'xyz' is quilty of abc
mixed with personal grief accusations which are more of drama problem of those in question (including players who report others, while being the very same who TK and ram others (i got those reports including videos etc.)

note: the KOTH server freeze at missionEnd auto-shutdown is known bug, it can happen 2-3 per day or not at all but it's not possible to easily detect because the server keeps returning query count as alive etc. (the process isn't exactly frozen either while it is)

we're trying to nail it, but it's known to happen just with the KOTH so more likely linked to sheer amount of players e.g. 128-150+ when it goes for shutdown

i would simply prefer to have automatic script/function/module to deal with TK/FF/ramming etc. than trying to do it manually, same goes with e.g. certain slurs in text-chat, would solve so much headache
