Laws of war introduced the aftermath of war but none of the rules. It is like adding damaged parts to a sim racing game so they remain strewn all over the track without bothering to introduce yellow flags. It is good that they did something in this direction but they also didn't really enhance the game with it in a particularly useful way beyond unexploded ordinance.

You can use it as part or as a goal for a custom mission but mostly mines are just annoying and boring.

If a car has an error and they call it back it's the reseller duty to fix the error. With no charges˙(warranty). So is arma 3 b-eye is the part of the game.

With no charges˙(warranty) If Arma were a car, it would have been out of warranty a LONG time ago. Also, BE isn't broken, you just want MORE from it, so your analogy does't hold water. In the case of a car, you would have to buy a new car to get new features and functionality. Or pay (you pay, not the manufacturer) for an aftermarket product that suits your needs, in this case, a private server.

Which MP game mode represents the following? Years ago I watched a video of a game mode where players are HALO-dropped all over the map. As they land they have to find their bearings, search loot or 'borrow' it from other players. As time goes on and timers pass they get a warning to move and converge into a certain region. Eventually into a single one region. Whoever is caught outside of it as the timer expires has lost. Last person standing has won. ... Sounds like this would be called King of the Hill. Or am I mistaken?

ok guys this question might have been asked here million time so i am sorry if its repetitive, so what's is required from my side to get in the PVP experience of Arma, i am experienced tactical shooter gamer i have almost all tactical games and milsims and played them all some with a lot of experience and some with little; but i was always afraid from approaching ARMA due to the big learning curve required in it, not any more with the COVID-19 issue and working ATM from home with a lot of free time, although i almost played the entire campaign but i have no idea how to get in PVP, so is there any links to follow or videos to watch to get in that PVP experience.

There is something called “Friday night fight” I saw the other day, it had 120 players on and I looked it up on YouTube apparently it’s a huge PVP thing. I’m not sure how to get into it but it look quite cool and “tactical”

Remember that some vehicles and boats can be sling loaded. Use this to move troops from one location to another with the air and sea or air and land. Or if you're frisky, Air Sea and Land.

What I have in mind is something like this:
There is no infantry involved, only vehicles. You respawn either directly into a vehicle, or you can perhaps choose to form a crew with someone. Or a crew with bots, for instance to command your driver while operating the turret.

As to what kind of team death match it might be, I am not sure yet what can be interesting.

Problem is the demonetization policy of CUP and RHS.
RHS used to make exemption to Sa-Matra (which they later revoked) so there's RHS koth but due demonetization it doesnt get much development of its own anymore besides delayed version updates and fixes deemed 'have to have or rhs koth dies'

@frank creek In the past we played in DCS World on a server called Buddyspike. The missions there are kind of campaign. It's end when the whole map is red or blue. Every 3 hours the server do a restart for clean up and saving the captured zones.

I don't know if it's just that the modes are done by modders and not professional dev teams; BI official modes seem more like tech demos

And eg. experienced players are allowed to dominate the gameplay/meta too much via various routes - eg. KotH and Warlords get dominated by highly skilled pilots easily

By now the skill gaps can be a huge issue though, can be hard to avoid unless the mode is skillfully designed

ofp/arma1 sort of had something like deathmatch when I was younger and tried it first, but, it devolved over time to what it is

the thing with Warlords is that it's an official mode from BI, and quite accessible, so it gets players easily

i did try groups a few years ago, but eventually it seems too slow, even if ucan tell them, most are like roleplaying, forming lines and stuff, and tended to always be too small/inclusive instead of cooperating with one another for events(pvp, teams vs teams, even co-op), eventually the few mods are not amusing and prevent easy joiners too

A bit of a problem is that different people want to play different things

And a mode would need to cater to different audiences / equipment, and still keep it balanced between them

Like Zerty is super deep and sophisticated, but it's pretty esoteric when you're new to it and/or Arma 3

And then it has a number of mechanics that some players just think are bad/wrong, because they result in gameplay/flow that is against their idea

And it feels like it has tools geared for one type of play, with bases and lots of bots under your command and long supply lines etc etc, but the meta is actually geared towards slightly different kind of play; and many ideas or styles of playing A3 are just not catered to

#

Like if you just want to grab your rifle and jump into a jeep and go cap some towns, maybe it's not the best mode for you (assuming you're not looking to expand your play into something bigger with time)

Somehow I think a mode like BECTI/Zerty would need to cater better to the different playstyles. Like you could play small and still have a big impact; or go big and slow and change the big picture

There could be some kind of roles for different players, depending on how experienced you are or how much of a learning curve you want

You also shouldn't overlook the Team vs Team scene, it's more connected to milsim like approaches and usually is centered around events, so needs preparation etc and you can't just jump in, but it's a different kind of PvP to enjoy.

BreakingPoint is, well, a free for all deathmath coated with a post apocalyptic zombie atmosfere. Easy zombies, basic base building (more like locking existing buildings), scavenging for build materials, weapons, vehicles etc. Its unique thing is it has 6 factions that can level up, they have their dedicated chat, they spawn with different basic gear and some of them have limitations in what other factions they can kill. You die, you loose everything. People raid your place, you loose everything. No safe place to lock your car. etc. Somewhat hardcore-ish.

I definitely need to check out soon Becti tbh since i am looking for a replacement of eutw which is unfortunately dead.

When you mention "Team vs Team" you mean player organized Unit vs Unit events? Or is there some game mode i had missed?

Yea so true! This is what i really loved about eutw. It was more tactical and required proper communication but it didnt have time restrains or the hardcore-ish rules of a milsim unit

But it was quite fun action back in the day, very infantry focused but more sophisticated play than just grug mode KotH. Was centered around the mobile spawn trucks and the enemy tried to blow them up constantly

hello guys, i'm new to arma, played a bit so i could get use to some of the really basics, played some missions solo offline etc, dide trainings, and now i really wanna learn the game in multiplayer.

would someone help me to understand the raw strings of some multi modes so i can understand and enjoy playing with others ?

@stark mango Well there are several communities that play PVP(TVT) in groups and against other communities if you want to join a group that really plays PVP, or 1 of the most played gamesmodes is KOTH (king of the hill) and sometimes even some Battle Royale servers run that got enough players 👍

Well as you are in the PVP channel I guess it is fair to say wasteland is still a very good gamemode but for starters it can be hard with surviving, there are some dayz (arma3 version) servers also, the survival genre is still a thing in Arma you just need to find the right server/community to play with.

@sleek ruin I would not expect this to be made as a official gamemode within Arma 3 by BI, Arma 3 is entering end of development and mostly what is happening now are tweaks to make Arma 3 a bit better, the team now working on Arma 3 is about 2-3 people and they are also being outsourced for enfusion. Rest of the Arma developers are now working on Reforger and Arma 4. You can only hope a mission maker will publish such a gamemode who knows maybe they are already on the workshop, I do know that ESM does have a tournament every now and than with small scaled capture the flag what looked simular to the smaller scaled gamemodes on Argo.
