To prevent the community going crazy over a missed deadline BI never communicates exact dates/times and only planned estimates (or simply "Soon™️").
And the devs are very active in communication (non-official!), but is easily missed in the amount of spam of people saying "update when?"...

yes, they were meant as non-essential assets you could buy to support Arma 3's development (and feature delivery)
you can still use them in scenarios as environmental props and vehicles, just not drive/fire them directly - that's about it 🙂

The best role in the game is grabbing a supply truck and running supplies. Supplies are what win you the game...

Supplies are crucial for high pop servers. so if you are using less than 50 supplies to respawn is significant. to put it in perspective if your whole team used only 50 supplies per death to respawn, 64 players times 50 = 3,200 supply cost. now imagine 20 or 30 players spawning in with 125 supplies each... imo I believe a disliplined team with supplies and capturing key points is more valuable than your average COD fps 360 no scope shootem up bang bang type of player that wants a rocket launcher, sniper rifle, m4/16 and 30 magazines.... Reforger is designed to let the idiot be the idiot and the thinker/planner/designer to shine!

If you're being shot at by AI when landing, you have a bad LZ. The AI in reforger are not great at all, we did a stealth op two nights ago and we sneaked past lots of sentry's and were able to fly numerous helicopters into the AO without being spotted.

I flew on th complete opposite site of the map, dropped them in the next town over started to fly away, next things I know they are already calling for CAS and I’m starting to leave the are and I’m being shot at. The game itself is not region locked, but the code most likely is. This is because in a lot of cases there are different prices per region, and to prevent people to all buy their games from India for example (where prices are usually lower) Valve/Microsoft/Sony have implemented this.

It’s a lot bigger then it was a few years ago but the majority of people who use it are simulation gamers. At it’s core arma is a simulation game it makes sense to come to the platform that is best for simulation which is vr. From weapon handling to piloting to driving there is several games that show these are all superior in vr. Arma could bring all these features together.

Agreed, but we are def at the end of current tech in VR with our PC hardware available. It is one thing to make a VR headset, and quite another to make the diff headset types work with many different game engines. VR headsets vs game ability is our issue right now with getting a decently affordable setup that has "good" vr performance for the masses. Even the $1500+ headsets in recent development have issues and you need to give up one thing for another when choosing diff headsets. Pretty interesting path VR has been on in its history so far, I can easily recall putting that cardboard phone filled thing on my face to see janky 3d images not that long ago....haaaaa

Yes that’s one thing that’s very exciting about vr. With consoles and pc I feel like the last time I felt a noticeable difference between consoles was between the Xbox to Xbox 360. From the rift to the quest and even to the quest2 to quest 3 it’s a a noticeable advancement. As for pcvr it’s…. Different. The headsets seem to have a feature they are best at graphics comfort price etc. stand-alone seems to be the way the market is pushing especially since the standalones can do pcvr through wired and wireless connections now

Terrains are in a flat coordinate space, and are limited in size by the effort to make good detailed terrains, and by the noisiness of terrain stuff as you get farther from the world origin
One of the largest terrains I know of is Svalbard, 500km*500km. It's mostly empty and meant for air battles primarily.
