I need the ability to speed up the text to voice transcription. Variable options up to 2x seem smart. A little dial underneath the speech box or even a setting is cool. Mais le Discord officiel, qui sert pourtant de support et de canal d’échanges avec l’équipe, est entièrement en anglais. Et ça, c’est franchement incompréhensible pour un produit qui se veut international.

Beaucoup d’utilisateurs francophones se retrouvent complètement bloqués : ils ne peuvent ni poser leurs questions, ni comprendre les échanges, ni suivre les annonces.
C’est d’autant plus frustrant que les produits que vous proposez — Perplexity Pro, Comet, etc. — s’adressent à un public mondial, pas seulement anglophone.

👉 Ce n’est pas aux utilisateurs de s’adapter à la langue de l’entreprise, mais bien à l’entreprise d’adapter sa communication à ses utilisateurs.
Proposer un canal Discord francophone (ou au minimum un salon “#support-fr”) serait un vrai signe de respect et d’ouverture, et rendrait votre communauté bien plus accessible et inclusive.

I am a Perplexity Pro subscriber using the Comet browser. I’ve been experiencing an issue with the spell check feature—it appears to be enabled by default, but there is no visible toggle to control it in the settings.

Specifically, even after following Chrome-based instructions, the spell check toggle does not appear in the Language or Advanced settings menus. As a result, red underlines appear on input fields, which negatively impacts productivity, especially during coding or text-heavy tasks.

Please consider adding an option to disable spell check. Chrome’s built-in spell checker produces too many false positives in English and languages other than English, so most users prefer to keep it disabled.

Dude. I am glad that I got a free 1 year trial of Perplexity Pro, because if I had paid for this I would be pissed. I bounce between LLM's like Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, and of course Perplexity. While none of them are immune to hallucinations, Perplexity is by far the worst. I have been tracking this for a few months now and I get hallucinations from Perplexity approximately 65% of the time.
With OpenAI its around 40%, Claude is ironically the best with hallucinations occurring only around 20% of the time.
I test these by using the exact same prompts in each. Perplexity "sounds" great on the surface. But when you actually use it, it is very low quality. At least, that has been my experience.
I should probably mention that I am a certified prompt engineer, so I can say with confidence that my issue is not low quality prompts.

PPLX recently changed it so the Finance icon appears on that sidebar in that way, rather than a smaller one above

I've been meaning to request some features for a while, & I have lists of ideas in multiple locations 🙄, so until I manage to get myself more organised, here are a few features or systems that I wish Perplexity AI had today:

• A plugin system for Perplexity AI so that developers can extend core features, add new features, create plugins that allow more file types to be rendered by Perplexity AI, that extend one of the core tools, and enable Perplexity AI users to create plugins that allow users to customise the output or content generated or exported by Perplexity AI as standard, or that enable developers of third-party tools to create their own connnectors for Perplexity AI users to access & use, etc.I guess it would need some sort of human or AI approval system to be implemented, to ensure that the best practices for coding & documentation are good enough, but it would be so useful to be able to extend Perplexity ourselves, as it would encourage innovation, which can only be a good thing if done right.

• Ability to Create Periodically Evolving & Updating Perplexity AI Pages (&/or sections within a Perplexity AI Page) that allow users to incorporate content generated by a Perplexity AI Task, so that Perplexity AI users can create pages that require less admin time for topics that are always progressing, evolving, changing, or updating, to allow users to create more dynamic & useful Perplexity AI Pages that contain the Latest News Related or Information related to a particular subject or aimed at particular target audiences.

• Also, as a not-for-profit person who helps a few non-profits out with some of their IT stuff, I wish Perplexity AI provided a discounted rate to non-profits, but also social enterprise start-ups in their first 5 years of trading, as non-profits & social enterprises would find access to Perplexity AI really useful, because its at the more consumer user-friendly end of AI tools, compared with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, etc, but they' often have such limited budgets that tools like Perplexity often get overlooked as a luxury expenditure, but also, adding Perplexity to sites like TechSoup.org would help raise awareness of it to a whole new audience & market, and itss benefit would be extended even further if the templates/components/plugins directory existed too, because it would give new users access to a whole load of different examples of practical & very useful tasks that these types of organisation would no doubt find useful. Why provide discounted access to social enterprises too? Well, they're almost always organisations that, as a hybrid-type non-profit / commercial enterprise, they are often on even tighter budgets than non-profits and in their firsr 5 years, are often bearly breaking even.

I'm relieved to see that there is a way to rename threads using the website UI, but I had not noticed how this could be accomplished at first. I had been overlooking it due to the current website UI design. The Edit icon only appears when hovering the thread name in the settings menu and is not labeled other than with a tooltip on hovering the small Edit icon itself. The ideal solution would be to add a "Rename" option to each thread's respective options menu in the Library (where the Delete option already exists). Alternatively or in addition to this, add a "Rename" option to the Settings menu near the Delete option at the bottom of the menu.

I would like to suggest a feature to improve control over Task results in Perplexity. It would be very useful to have an option allowing users to set an automatic expiration period for Task search results, so they can be deleted from the history or Library after a configurable time frame (e.g., 7, 30, or 90 days). 🗓️ This would help keep the workspace more organized and better aligned with privacy and data management best practices, especially for heavy users.

Ideally, this feature would not expire the Tasks themselves, only the stored search results, so that recurring Tasks could continue even if individual results are deleted automatically after the configured period. Allowing this expiration period to be adjustable for both individuals and organizations would benefit a wide range of users.

And I'd love it if that was added to both the API as well as the Standard Perplexity AI's features (& their apps), so it's a step that I often use when I'm creating or researching stuff that is more important than the average jobs I use Perplexigty AI for.

Additional Idea:

Would also be damn handy to be able to add additional links to responses that I can automatically apply a custom prompt to a response (so that for prompts that I often use to manipulate or reformat a response, can be applied much more easily), but this idea could be made even more useful if these custom links could be connected with a trigger for an automation tool workflow.

I get so sick of writing certain prompts, like:

"Please now thoroughly fact-check that last response, and rewrite the response with all erroneous statements corrected."

Or:

"Please rewrite that last response rendered as correctly, semantically, structured & formatted GitHub-flavour Markdown markup/syntax in a code block", (This prompt allows me to easily copy & paste the response into a Markdown file being created using a Markdown app."

I thought that enabling users to set up and apply their own customisable prompts (that they most frequently use to process, check, or change a response) might help users to start to really customise their use & experience of Perplexity, but maybe it's just me who would like a customisable link?

As a user who sometime screates content aimed at people in recovery from mental health issues, I love AI for speed, but only being 80% correct half the time, reduces the usefulness of some AI tools, and one of the things I like about Perplexity is that I can fact-check a response when it absolutely needs to be accurate to save me time spent correcting the content it generates. Fact-checking doesn't eliminate the errors completely, but it certainly helps save the time spent proofreading & checking a response for errors!

Adding a plugin system to Perplexity AI would also be damn handy if this same feature could be configured to enable me to send a response to a plugin or use the plugin system to create pluigns to enable a response or conversation to be exported as a completely customisable file type (if Perplexity AI ever decides to develop & integrate a plugin system for Perplexity, then merging or combining the idea above with the plugin system would enable Perplexity users to customise their use of it, and allow developers of third-party apps to develop integrations &/or plugins that allows users to export responses being able to be exported in their own custom file format/file types.

Does anyone else think that this would be useful?

I would be very interested to find out whether someone else has a simple workaround for achieving this type of goal, other than automation, or in respect of the normal Perplexity, using text expansion tools (which work, but are a lot less user-friendly than being able to configure a button or link to apply a commonly used prompt to a response or send it to a third-party tool, I think, but tbh, I'm not yet skilled enough in automation to know whether a killed person can do this type of thing much more easily with an automation tool, & becasue of my ND, I never quite know whether my ideas & solutions are sometimes less than the ideal for stuff like this! 🤣

Sorry, I've been experiencing some difficulties with Support AI agent. First, it mislead me about billing process, and then it said that it is forwarding issue to the billing team, but I got no reply since Oct 26th.

Dear Perplexity team. I have deleted and uninstalled the Comet Browser because it's nearly unusable: It refuses to provide links.

Example: I select some text, right click and press "Search Perplexity for Xyz"
The search opens in the sidebar, on the right side. It gives me a bunch of results, describing details about what it found, but it will not provide links for any of them.
When I ask for links, it says:

Hey so I've been using Comet Assistant to help with aggregating my availability to send over email for scheduling. It's good but I'm never able to get it 100% correct first try and still have to correct it myself.

I'm asking the assistant to provide my availability for a date range, limited to 9-5 EST, and providing a 15 minute buffer between the provided availability and already booked meetings. I also specified a format I like.

Feedback: search indicators / results may be misleading - I'm unsure what the indention is with the domain names that are listed to the right whilst "research" activity is ongoing - but they can be misleading. I'm guessing the idea was to drop the domain name extension, however for a ".co.uk" domain that then gets listed as a ".co" domain. I would prefer the full domain name was displayed so I can understand if for example the search is searching ".com" domains when I really wanted to search ".co.uk" (keeping results local to me). Knowing that a search isn't being done on ".co.nz" for example is helpful.

Hi! I'm a Perplexity Max subscriber and I'm physically disabled, which makes manual data entry difficult for me.

I have a prompt that I use to make the Comet Assistant more autonomous so I can easily browse the web. However, I'm experiencing an issue: when I add this prompt as a shortcut, Comet doesn't realize that it IS the Comet Assistant. It responds with messages like "I can't browse the web for you" and similar limitations.

The only way I can get it to work properly is by manually pasting the full prompt into every new session, which is challenging given my physical disability.

Is there a way to fix this so that shortcuts properly recognize the Comet Assistant's capabilities? Or is this a known bug that might be addressed in a future update?

Look at the website registration date via Whois to see if the site is newly registered. Alternatively, use an extension like Guardio, which will alert you to this kind of thing.

While it is the consumer's responsibility in the end, perplexity (and frankly any browser) should add guardio or some other extension like that as a built in feature. scams are getting more and more prevalent and harder to detect. in a perfect world you wouldn't need that, but as a consumer I shouldnt be expected to check the whois on every site I want to buy something from.

Disappointing Customer Service Experience - Double-Billing Issue

I'm an Enterprise Max customer (just added 5 users to my organization) and I'm experiencing a frustrating situation that Perplexity support refuses to accommodate.

The Issue:
• I have an annual iOS Pro subscription (paid through App Store, active until May 2026)
• I upgraded to Enterprise Max in November 2024
• Now I'm being charged for BOTH subscriptions simultaneously with zero additional benefit
• This means I'm double-paying for Perplexity service for 6+ months

Perplexity's Response:
• Support says they can't refund or credit because "Apple controls iOS subscriptions"
• They won't apply any unused value toward my Enterprise Max subscription
• No accommodation offered despite this being a clear overlap created by their own upgrade process

Why This is Poor Customer Service:

1. Perplexity receives payment for BOTH subscriptions
2. If they can't accommodate upgrades within a subscription year, they shouldn't sell annual subscriptions OR allow mid-year upgrades
3. I'm the ideal customer - committed, growing my team, investing significantly - yet I'm being penalized
4. The "we can't control Apple" excuse doesn't hold water when Perplexity is the one receiving the subscription revenue

What I Expected:
A pro-rated credit, extended Enterprise subscription, or any reasonable accommodation for a loyal, growing customer who's now paying FAR more than typical users.

Outcome:
Support closed the door on any resolution. No escalation path offered.

I know comet had just been released and a chat view might be easier to implement for both web and comet assistant,
but I really don't like the chat view and prefers the title/header view that Perplexity had before.

I just find the abundance and overusage of chat view to be distracting to what I use Perplexity for?
It reminds me of chatting (relaxing), instead of doing organization (/work).
I also don't like it because it forces my query to align right, while I just want to keep my eyes aligned left because it's less distracting to read both queries and responses that way.

Having a setting to be able to switch this view would be nice.

Hi everyone, I'm having an issue with my Perplexity subscription and could use some help.

I tried to use the PayPal promotional offer for a 1-year free subscription to Perplexity Pro, but instead of activating the 1-year PayPal promotion, the system automatically activated the 1-month Comet referral trial. This has now made me ineligible for the PayPal 1-year promotional offer I originally wanted to claim.

I've been in contact with support (escalated since October 27, 2025), but haven't received a follow-up response yet. The last message said Sam would review my case and determine available options, but it's been over a month now.

check Library - I've noticed this with occasional Space threads

they should still be in Library, but aren't displayed within the Space for some reason

so far the only way I've figured out to get them back in the Space is by asking a Follow-Up question within each thread

i then tried requesting to speak to a human again. once again, i received an automated reply from "Sam" giving me another copy pasted answer, but it wouldnt let me speak to a human member of the customer service team.

i cant tell if Sam is hallucinating or if a human is manually ordering Sam to feed me these copy pasted replies because they do not want to talk to me

Hi everyone, I’m posting this here because I cannot get through to a human via email and I need to warn others about a serious billing issue.

I tried to redeem a partner promotion (Revolut), but instead, I was charged the full $200 annual fee. When I tried to resolve this, I fell into a "policy trap" that makes it impossible to get a refund, and I've been arguing with an AI for days.

1. The "Hidden Date" Trap Perplexity claims their refund window is 72 hours from the "payment processing date".

The Reality: They claim my payment was processed internally on Nov 26.

My experience with Perplexity Max (Comet / browser agent)

Quick heads-up for anyone considering Max mainly for heavy Comet use:

I subscribed to Max and repeatedly hit a weekly browser-agent limit (confirmed by support) with no visible usage meter or warning in the UI—things just stopped working mid-workflow. Support also told me that every follow-up in a thread counts against that browser-agent quota, even when the follow-up doesn’t really need browsing.

Max is marketed with strong language around “unlimited” usage and “priority support,” but in my case the limits felt hidden and “priority” responses took days while I was blocked from a key feature. I’ve since downgraded to Pro.

Not saying “don’t buy it,” but I do recommend the community look closely at how the browser-agent limits and support actually work and decide carefully whether the Max price makes sense for your needs.

I have Spaces with explicit instructions to remove all footnotes and references from templated responses, particularly for creative writing work. The desktop app has started including these despite my explicit directive, just in the last week or so.

When questioned, Plex said that a recent change to system instructions overrides my Spaces instructions. I did not explicitly see this in the recent changelogs. It did generate the correct format when explicitly asked (in the web UI) in the conversation. That could mean Conversation > System > Space instructions, but the rationale for the change could be a hallucination or some deeper interaction at play.

If this truly is a system instructions change, please consider removing this behavior or providing a space or account level option to disable it. For now I can try conversation override or manually removing the extraneous materials as workarounds, but neither are ideal compared to how this used to consistently work as instructed.
