As someone driving an oldtimer caravan, let me tell you that you do want people to drive exactly the speed they feel safe with.
The problem is, that people cannot estimate who the person in that car is, and what abilities they have.
What I don't like is people putting other people in danger by driving above the speed limit, or somehow aggressively. Your car is a weapon, so how about being patient and serious about driving

They usually do. There's also signs for that in Germany, on that kind of roads. But its not always possible, and they can't stop every 2 minutes to let some people pass that are not thankful anyway.

People usually guess that slow drivers have no reason to drive slow. That is often just not the case. If there is no other way, you will have to adapt to the given traffic speed. You don't lose anything by driving 5 under for a few minutes

The real issue is driver egocentrism. A common issue, that gets worse every day.

Believe me, Germany is big in this. We used to have a very strict codex on the street, but people are forgetting about this. How to make way for an ambulance. How to enter a motorway. Even how to drive between pedestrians.
People stopped believing in those common rules it seems, and have switched to "how to get to my destination asap" in all cases.
And with it comes the inability to understand, why and how other drivers will act. So people are just constantly annoyed by all other cars that don't adapt to their style.

I love motorways outside of Germany though. No jams, no dangerous overtakes, everyone is chilled.
Its really the big speed differences of cars on the autobahn, that are stressful.

Georgia has the left lane dedicated to overtaking/passing. So you could be speeding and blocking that lane and end up getting both citations.

House husband these days. My brain kinda broke after too much life, around 12 years ago. I've been on disability for about 8. Before that I was working towards workforce manager for call centers, having been a new hire trainer before that, a call answering person and call answering supervisor before that. Was a cook and odd jobber before that. First job was in a mega bar as a porter, 1,000 to 5,000 customers a night from about 5 counties cause it was the biggest bar in the state but also in a location of only small towns. My human exposure has been very high as a result. Made me wonder why we act as we do, hence all the armchair science interest.

Well not quite that big.. my wife would kill me before i got to that point. But let me tell you something first.. I used to be an IT Engineer for 20 years. Got burnt out in Jan 2020.. Quit and then the world went to shit in 2020 march with covid locking us all in for a year and some.. so it was a shit time to quit in hindsight.. however.. in 2021 i got a job as a janitor.. and janitors here are just "write a report whats wrong, someone who is certified electrican, plumber etc actualy do the job". But couple years ago i was loaned out to the Social living section in Oslo as a janitor (NEVER EVER AGAIN) But i let myself go a little as there was so little actual human contact as most of the ppl were black out drunk or high on something or just plain violent. So for some reason i felt i should just let my hair grow.. until one point, when an old lady who walked past me though i was a hobo and gave me some money. Trust me, i cut my hair that very day lol.

Each time was different, but it was never nice or good. What pulled me out was getting therapy, help with housing and a basic income that wasn't dependent on me having perfect mental and social function every day.

I won't trawl for sympathy, but I will say this: to the parents reading this, treat your kids with respect and believe in them (which means investing in their success and dreams); to anyone struggling with mental illness please be loving to yourself, like a steward, a guardian and a best friend. Things do get better, but only when we look after each other and ourselves with equal kindness.

we fixed the speed of light to be 300km/s artificially. we used to measure it every year by several labs around the world.
but every time we measured it, apparently it rose higher. people then figured out that some laboratories were manipulating their numbers, to be closer to the average of last years measurements. as a laboratory, you dont get contracts if your measurements are not precise enough...

Earlier, I dusted my PC, and then when I plugged it back in, it wouldn't connect to the monitor. After two forced PC shutdowns accompanied by replugging in the HDMI, I checked inside the PC. I just gave the RAM a lil poke, not much more, because I'm paranoid about dabbling with PC innards. After a short bit, it froze completely, and then reset. It's been fine since, and I did a few disagnostic things. Did get a few corrupted files repaired through sfc scannow.

However, everytime I startup my PC, the event viewer logs a WHEA-Logger ID 1 event, which it says is related to a severe hardware issue.

Is it possible that my GPU became slightly unseated, because I do think that I slightly bumped it when checking the RAM, which is maybe why it started connecting after plugging it in the third time.

More likely, you have something needing Driver updates. And there are some tricksy folks dominating the search results for a lot of that.

Oof. Windows 10, you may be boned, but I would find the brand of your parts if possible. System Information will show you some... usually Motherboard and Video Card at the least. But see this thread:

And yeah Asus is the manufacturer of your Motherboard, which may also need a BIOS update. Works more or less the same as a driver update.

One thing that happened earlier was it said it booted into safe mode after the forced turn-off, and then opened up BIOS. I hit f11 or whatever it was for save and continue. Should I have reset to default, and then save/continue? Could something have been accidentally changed?

Eh, reset to default is risky on a system you didn't build.

I'd update first, reset to default after, really. The system worked with the BIOS settings as-is until this point.

It could be a CMOS battery issue if the system is old enough.

(Battery on motherboard so the internal clock and a few other things never actually lose power.)

You can tell if that is the case by checking time and date in BIOS, but again, it could have been set wrong to this point. Windows doesn't often look at the BIOS clock.

And lots of traps searching "drivers" on most any search engine. Top results will usually be scamware apps or sites.
