It's always good for the devs to get pictures and reports from different people of the same bug (as it can help in the collecting of information), though this bug tbh seems more uncommon than others..

You may try these steps:

• verify game files via Steam
• Clear/Delete Steam shader cache for Enshrouded (...\Steam\steamapps\shadercache\1203620)

i feel like some skills and equipment do not work as intended, if you don't see or notice a difference chances are it's bugged or even not working at all for anyone. I would use F1 in game to make a bug report and attach your videos. Plus, even if you were somehow completely wrong, you can't be faulted for your own observations, and you have a video, so don't be hesitant* to submit bug reports.

Not something on our end, Avast team needs to fix it.

Though to be frank this is an extremely common issue with Avast, it's not a great anti-virus. It false positives a lot on seemingly random .exe files, especially games.

Works a lot better in a business setting, probably, I think it basically just flags anything that could be a virus, and technically speaking .exes are one of the more dangerous types of files.

I tested the game after every step and it crashed within a minute. This only started after the last update, although I am not sure what caused it to start happening.

Now that I think about it, this "lost Vulkan" error seems very similar to what was happenening with Red Dead Redemption 2. A lot of users, myself included, had to switch from Vulkan to DX12. I don't know how relevant it is, but I felt I should mention it. I know we can't change to DX12 in Enshrouded, but hey. You never know what may help. 🙂

I'm not an expert but you can try reverting your graphics driver from 551.33 to 546.33. Use DDU to uninstall the driver.
Likewise you can try removing/disabling anything else that uses VULKAN, LIKE EOS? (obviously you can't remove steam).

Hey gang! Not a fan of the new minimum requirements check - if a dev sees this, please make it so it can be turned off, or add a "don't show again" tickbox or something! I often play on my ROG Ally, which must technically fall under the minimum spec, although it runs the game just fine. Having to click away the check Every. Single. Time. is going to get old FAST!

Yea the world save is corrupted somethig wrong with there hotfixes becasue It got corrupted right after the second last hotfix they launched, I did not used mods it was all plain vanilla. also none overkill on fram plants or nothing. Just got corrupted after the last save. THe character file still works. If you start a new world you will have your main inventory and mission progress

Additional Info: If I'm switching the enshrouded option "Reduce framerate while in background" to off, dwm.exe will keep it's memory usage as long as enshrouded is opened. Regardless of fullscreen or windowed mode.
No further window touched. Just open or close enshrouded and GPU usage of dwm.exe will go from 0-1% to 20-30%. After closing enshrouded, usage is dropping again to a normal value.

so i would of course completely rule out any problems with other open applications.

For anyone who has had their ancient spires disappear and can't fast travel to them, check that you don't have any flame altars located very close to other map POIs. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the icon of the flame altar greatly overlapping the POI icon on the map, or if it has to do with flame altars in map areas related to quests, or in areas where enemies spawn. I had a flame altar practically in the center of Thornhold. In the screenshot the red circle is where it was, and the blue circled flame altar is where I moved it to. After moving the flame altar and restarting my game, all of the ancient spires reappeared on the map. Maybe it's coincidence, but I had already tried all the other troubleshooting steps prior (restarting game, verifying integrity of game files, etc.) and nothing was working. Hope this helps someone.

game doesnt launch at all, steam says starting, the process starts, and immediately dies, I was able to play for a day after completing the minidump steps including DDU drivers in SM. Next day game doesnt launch at all.

Those overlays in the logs also dont really mean anything, considering they dont get used at all until their processes are actually called, those logs are simply stating they are present on the system, a properly coded game should give a damn what overlays you have installed, it should only matter what is actually in use.

Its a bit ridiculous to expect people to download a script from github that requires admin rights, im reading through the source at the moment to see what he decided to do, but its pretty clear the game is pretty broken, just look at the size of this channel.

I like the game, and am fine waiting for a fix, but it would be nice to actually get some word on when/if that will happen. I understand its early access and would rather not refund but every EA game ive had at least launches.

People dont have to do anything suggested here, it's up to them what to try and how useful it is. Personally, if I was diagnosing my own crash I'd even do a full clean boot before running the game and disable all startup programs. Yes, it shouldn't be like this if the game was working, but obviously if someone is crashing it's not working as intended already. And yes, obviously it matters if the overlay is running or not. I will assume it's running and tell someone to disable it, if it's not running or they feel it wont impact anything they don't need to bother, I'm just trying to help out not debate with people. And I genuinely feel bad for anyone having issues with their game.

Character data gets registered by server and then synced to local character file AFAIK.
So it could be there was some kind of disconnect while syncing.

gonna go out on a limb and say anyone with a base near the starting area, there is a honey and wax area that spawns on server restart that might be causing issues as well. I was able to clear mine and it helped. Also ran the powershell command may have helped as well. I had a ton from farming chests.

Although the possibility of maybe uploading the world save that is corrupted may help the developers understand why worlds get corrupted if this is possible. I am not sure. Then you do it again with the local folder (or back it up).

5. Open your local saves folder: C:/Users/username/Saved Games/Enshrouded
6. Transfer the character file to the remote saves folder.

once time, when i connect to my dedicated server, it kick me out, at that time i noitice it say flame level 0 in server list (my actual level is 6), then i restart the server and connect again, all my character knowledge (recipe, lore page, some quest already completed before...) reset, same as a new character. Unless you have a backup of the world save I see no way to accomplish this. As to why this is happening sounds like a server world write issue and the community in #server-support will have better answers as far as why your world would revert. Check #server-faq and see if this topic is discussed there

well i´ve got some curios thing maybe that for u @vestal mortar first i read that turning FOV to 0 for Vega uses could help, i tested it and it seems quit a bit better than before even i got a crash but this time it says memory issue and a little bug or something i cant really understand why i found the legendary Jezmine Axe its a one handed weapon but if i equip it there is no Shield visible even the animation adn the function are working but its only for this weapon so far

well i tested evrything out , clearing steam cache, running as admin, lowerd the graphics , updated the gpu driver to the latest one thats for this card but nothing helps and i i mentioned above turning the fov to 0 seems a bit better but still got the crash at the capital city

Anyone know why I can't find my friend's dedicated server by name? it only shows up when another friend is already in the server. I have the IP:Port and tried manually adding via Steam but it says no server found

Add the server to steam > view > game servers > favorites and add it as a favorite and it should appear at the top of your list in game.

@near solar I would say revert that setting I had you change and run the game. See if you still have the issue. I would recommend a restart after updating vulkan. If it fixes it cool. If it doesn't, revert the setting back to false and when/if you want to figure out why and have time, we can go through it another time or if you wanted to play some more we can.🤷

I'm fixed now, clearing the shader cache didn't fix it (I'm an AMD user btw) and ended up updating the Vulkan runtime and DDU (I installed the new 23.X driver specifically for Enshrouded, I was running 24.X somehow before) and one or both of those resolved it. I wish I could've checked, but since I couldn't move to get out of the house I couldn't tell

I checked the pins to see if there was anything related to this posted before.
I am able to load into the game, but It get stuck at this point when loading.

After a while it will get me to the main menu.

When I clicked play I have issues where the text does not load properly and is just a line sometimes.

To top it off, get stuck in a loading screen when trying to load into a world.

My friend was able to join my world while I was stuck loading.

Good day. I own an Enshrouded Nitrado server and gave been playing on it fir two days. Then yesterday we logged out and I restarted the server. Now I am unable to join it again. It shows in my favorites list and clicking on join ask the password but after starting to load it shows Error failed to login. I cannot join with any character and can join other servers. Go to Nvidia control panel > manage 3D settings > and look for the vulkan settings options at the bottom and change it to open GL I believe it is. Apply and try the game.

You may have to try swapping between the options there until one works for you. The last user said he had to do it a couple times if it doesn't work.

I feel that I have looked everywhere for a solution to my problem but nowhere have I come across a similar situation.
My friends and I play together on our server where we planted plants. Since then, every time the server restarts, the plants grow back in the same place even though they were picked before the restart. The situation repeats itself to the point that in the place where the plants were once planted there are already buildings standing, the terrain is at a different elevation and the plants still grow back even in the air.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem / knows the solution?

Disable it in startup and if it is found to no longer be an issue in a future update you can enable it. But currently it is causing issues, you should be able to not use comparability mode as well.
