Sorry to say I'd strongly advise against having an open server. There's a lot of horrible people that are destroying open servers for sick enjoyment and it costs a lot of time to repeatedly go back to saves. So best to very carefully select and cherry pick people to help you.

I get huge trees random around the map. Yesterday i got one i a spire and i didn't see anything only the green stuff that looks like a tree (see the first pic). If i close the game and start it new the bug is gone for this location but its random on some new locations xD

for this it gets complicated. the minecraft calculator has binary logic implemented via redstone. here we only have players. If two players hit each other they push each other back. (now a little bit simplified) Therefore we need to implement 0 by no player and 1 by a player. A xor gate can be implemented: 0 for no player or both bounce each other backwards. 1 can travel further. "Or" could be implemented with 1 player travels further, no player is easy too, that one of both travels further and how not and AND could be implemented could be complex., (we could use OR and NOT to implement AND). I would need to google which gates are needed for a computer to be build theoretically. .... but we need A LOT of players.
Also some device or person need to interpret the results.

But as a thinking. if a player is pushed to a position without anything, it could block a way out. maybe this interaction is usable for some gates, that a palyer can move further if it would otherwise be pushed out. 🤔
As a conclusion for everyone who wants to think: we need NAND and NOR. If we have them, we can theoretically build every gate.
maybe we can play with codings or try only a calculator in some abacus style or so

There are a couple blocks that as a ceiling have sort of a vaulted look... I think you maybe have a deep window well there and it happens to be catching the down point on a vaulted ceiling? Test it by adding a couple blocks deeper into the room and maybe you can see if that is it.

The Roughly Cut Stone block is virtually identical I think, but does not have that on the underside. Maybe if you run into that you could sub a couple Roughly Cut blocks to patch?

Ty, i like to keep the rooms small, since otherwise i get lost when trying to furnish.
A mega room is easy to build but super hard to give a detailed look on the inside.
I even find the main house in this castle a bit too large but im content with its design

I absolutely agree. The scale of most options for decorating is too small for huge spaces. You can make/combine/finesse options, but I prefer it stay at a semi realistic scale to the character and NPCs 😉

Plus it is realistic....older castles didn't have many huge spaces. Walls were so thick for defense it cut into the room sizes very often. Wasn't until later that castles became grandiose with huge spaces (when defense was less of an issue)

Not much difference at first glance but there is quite a lot of small things. Detailing takes time, but if the result is good, it is so worth it.

Two things you can get right away that are an upgrade to the basic wood and basic stone...near you there is a scale looking patch on the ground (blue-ish)...mine that with a pickaxe and go into the shroud and chop down trees you find there 🙂 those are both ncie upgrades

I am really liking how some of the new items allow details that really help a build. Trying not to incorprorate many, but rebuilding this carpenter house on my own world is also allowing me to do things the way I wanted to but ran out of time to get done for the contest... LONG way to go still...have the whole mountain terraforming and waterwheel and sawmill to go...in addition to all the interiors and some landscaping...and the tree has not yet grown up... but yeah, loving the new additions/tweaks! Hell, I love that you can make transom windows work now, and that there are nicer options for 1 block wide windows!

What I would really love is some lanterns and things that use a regular candle type flame but enclosed in something....wall hanging, ceiling hanging, posts, etc. Because other than the pure flame early game lights everything else has funky auras of one sort or another (fireflies and a hazy glow, general hazy glow that is almost a sphere, green flame/glow/haze....)

They may have been done by placing each chain link 1 at a time, which would speed up the time needed

Simply making a design for a chain link then spinning or rotating it until you have it how you want it will also make it more consistent as well. So they'd be just linking each chain link together.

If you're not using the X snapping you can do that.

Building the chain 1 link at a time seems like the fastest and most consistent way to do it.
Just my wild guess.

my guess is that its all one object but modeling wise, they put the single link on an array and then did a physics sim till it looks good and baked it into a single object

This is not an issue that I have seen before. I suggest trying to make a video of it if possible and submitting a bug report through the in-game option in the escape menu or by pressing F1. Include the video and a description of what is happening with as much detail as you can provide.

Sadly there are no body of water that are safe enough to build on. Most areas with what looked like a body of water are filled with red deadly substance. Most of them are surrounded by shroud as well which make sense because fungi like those damp and wet places haha

What I did is maxing out my chaaracter and finishing every content. Did that for my 1st 40 hours playthrough. Then I planned my final build (mega base) That's my end game content. All materials farm. I dont want to jump into another game for a while lol

ReShade is a free generic post-processing injector for games and video software developed by crosire. Like imagine your favorite game with ambient occlusion, real depth of field effects, color correction and so much more - like i even created a zoom feature for archery in enshrouded in it

The voxel details are somehow related to the cardinal directions of their blocks
like u could put 2 of the same blocks next to eachother with a gap and both use diff. details, because both blocks were build with a different angle or towards a diff. angle .. moment i search for a example

The skeleton of the tower is basically done though so its a relief. almost 100k of highly polished stone mixed with about 20k Hallow Halls block and a small amount of other like ectoplasm and red marble. doing this alone has been a blast ( this is 2 maxxed out alters high for scale ) pictures dont do the size any justice

The greater the render distance the more it'll make your computer work, unless you turn down the graphics. You need a better graphics card too for sure.

i mean its just one specific tree model that has this low render distance for me, and some materials that change with the distance
all they need is to increase the render distance a lil bit, maybe like 25-50% more of these objects/materials
the other ones are ok, its needed that they unload at a specific distance
maybe they dont have proper low render models, so they pop up. or arent linked correctly to the low rendered model.. dunno

There is however perhaps another reason and that is that you run out of VRAM. Not uncommon for some textures to look like low poly, but are in fact the result of nnot enough VRAM left.

Lowering graphics doesn't always free up enough VRAM as programs like discord, browser and all that also takes up some VRAM. There is also the the scenario where the game loads things into normal RAM, you must restart the game to rectify this. So to be sure, lower your graphics, exit the game and boot up.

Think of it from the perspective of the Crypts built by the Devs out in the world. Most are much darker than your picture above (illumination), have multiple layers/levels with little "open" space. Add tons of little bits and bobs all over the place to make it look messy/ancient. Give even more depth to the walls, in steps. Utilize different materials than just the 2 that I can see in that picture, etc.

We were just talking earlier about people that forget to take bombs off the hotbar and accidentally used bombs inside their house, then someone accidentally shot some explosive arrows and now again it happened. Accidents will happen, best to minimize the chances of it.

In a couple of months you'll probably look back and laugh it happened.😁

I fixed the wall right away after my accidental weapon discharge, but didn't bother with the floor. There was a hole under my workbench until just last week.

Also, I'm now careful to always alt-tab back to the game, instead of just clicking into the window to come back.

The simple solution is to not have bombs on the hotbar and if you explosive arrows in your bag, don't have the bow equipped.

That is a simple solution, true, but it requires I never leave a hotbar slot open and then forage up something explosive. Rather than remember to check and keep Safety First in my hotbar, it is easier for me to remember the alt-tab thing. Whatever works best for your brain, though! 😄

Nah, just swap bombs off the hotbar with something else and swap the bow equipped with another weapon that is if you have explosive arrows on you.

Roof tiles actually don't look all that bad at a lower 2x1 angle. I've been using that lower angle in my roman-styled city and they look alright. Of course the lower angle sucks to build though since there's no 1x1x8 prefabs for roof blocks. So each block has to be placed individually.

Was mostly just missing the curve in the bottom petals. Also, a little trick I use when trying to block-ify a pattern is to shrink it down in Paint until it pixelizes at the size I need. Then I trace over the pattern in pixels which gives me the voxel version of the pattern.

Not sure if someone is already using it, but you can get more farming space if you decide to go upwards in layers. You can go up one stairs hight with double jump pretty easily

You can make your own supports with single stone blocks, in any case this way it is very easy for someone who needs more farming space but doesnt want to expand the flame area. Also, you can have single plant for each level if your OCD is strong

first layer of the bottom roof going in currently just a single layer thick on top! but adding details under before adding the height...no idea how you manage to do this on such a large scale @upper zealot haha!

I use the half timbered block to achieve the stacked beam design.
If you can achieve anything rounded that would be more awesome

It adds depth. to achieve the curve momentum.

Tried to play with the half timered blocks on a couple of the prior buildings but just haven't clicked with it yet! will curve/bend the roof a little as the layers/floors get added above! Will have to play around a little more

You can use the beam prefab.
You need atleast a 1 or 2 laddering upwards to make that momentum for it not to appear flat.

Someone is going to do that no matter what style you choose. You can't please everyone and some of them would never be happy with what Someone builds. Personally I feel as though as long as you're happy with it that's all that matters.

I made the altar like a hall room with access to a common area with bedrooms for everyone, a vault room for all mats and a crafting room with rooms for all the followers and their crafting benches. But the best part of all is all the rooms are flavored with different blocks I’ll send some screenshots when I’m home

everything is barebones rn until i can get the main tower up. There is a 2nd flame altar up there, maxed out as well as that will be my main tower :3

the outside is still a WIP tho, were doing a terraced desert garden/babylonian inspired exterior. i wanted to keep the outside small and cozy but have it sprawl once you make your way down to the altar

I like the added depth a lot! I am getting a bit of a scary grinning skull vibe now though.... (edit: which btw is completely cool! Just not the look I think you were headed for)

However with windows and whatever other detail, that may well vanish. It is in a vaccuum currently, without everything else around it/inside it. But I love the added depth!

What i don't like about a house and i made a mistake also is that if you make your rooms according to your character height the camera will clip with the roof and it will look like ur in a cage. If you make the roof a bit higher your char will look like hes giant 🤣 compared to the furniture aswell (chairs, tables). So confusing

Looks like he has multiple tombstones and digging towards the closest on the side of the cliff. Would be nice if they'd spawn not so close to an edge or sometimes near impossible areas by deadly shroud.
