Yeah I kind of had to remember which ones i've done even though i might have went to doubles or triples from remaking the game everytime, even if you have it uncovered on the map you might have just flown over it, someone suggested to do it from scratch and check mark each one manually as you go along if you forgot which ones you did.

Alternately, keep poking around until you find a way across. I managed it somehow, but I don’t remember where. Then I got my flame level to 3 and realized I could have walked. <facepalm>

No, but yes. I have rare only... Leg would be ace. There's the 'Ignited Hammer' which does 140 Blunt base damage which is king - get 600+ crits form it with bonuses.

@iron stone the grim is the shroud root roughly in bottom right section of map, the ornate chest is at gold circle, shroud root is just off screen at red circle. There are explosives near the chest, the enemies can cause them to go off which destroys the chest, so that's what most likely happened if you can't see it.

For sure is lol, I had to glide cancel often when playing warrior style my stamina just wasn't up to par with what it is now, this'll eat up your stamina quick but you can make some great distances with this method lol

Not so much the flapping method, I mainly use that to go up steeper hills but just glide canceling into chained updrafts feels like I could go the full playable map distance 🤣

Made an attempt to start it, build out from the hill north of the shroud root and ended right above it at the level of the hill, destroyed the root and upgraded the flame altar up there, tried to build down only to discover you can't build over it for some reason unless you're at a certain elevation 🥲 so it mostly ruined the plan 😭

I love me some valheim and a bunch of other survival games and RPGS like outward and such, but this game definitely capitilizes where valheim falls short in my opinion. Probably one of my favorite survivals out right now

I had a brief stint of playing with it, and I wasn't even full magic I just went into the fire tree deep enough for mass destruction and the other point after that does shock damage, I was way more melee than anything, still deleting things like crazy. Buff ranger and melee plz it doesn't even have to be as strong as wizard but definitely needs some love lol

I was surprised when they nerfed water aura, that was especially busted and still pretty strong, but I honestly wouldn't want wizard to be nerfed either, just bringing other playstyles up a bit closing the gap

It's definitely a clear meta rn. Not to invalidate the king class any cause if you aren't the wizard type of player you may still get goofed on just being as squishy as they are but I'd imagine a hell of a lot easier play through than anything else

I wouldn't go as far as saying limited resources with eternal spells and rapacity ring, you might be thinking of archer arrows, but yea magic should 100% be strong, but not so much stronger than everything else that it becomes the only option lol

It's limited, especially earlier in the game, you would run out of mana after every 2 enemies. End game it's less of an issue but point still stands.

Also etenrnal spells are great but they are slower to cast and eat more mana. They leave you vulnerable if you can't kill an enemy in one shot, especially the faster one's, they are in your face asap and the high casting times don't help lol

Rapacity is easily acquired around revelwood and an eternal spell quest I believe gives you the frost bolt for free? Yea I mean early game definitely is a bit hard on them than late no doubt but I feel like I found the spell ammo in boxes way more than I found arrows 🤣

It does, the next ones are pretty deep in the game tho after frost bolt, you don't get them until around level 20? I think that's about right.

I had to craft reusable fire-balls for days, lol - which don't get me wrong, nothing bad about that but once you get eternal fire, you feel a bit more liberated.

Anyway other than Toxic spells, I think magic is in a pretty good place right now.

Definitely the squishiest of the options available, things can rarely reach a mage though if you play at your range advantages

Acid is definitely busted as can be no doubt, but it's not the only thing busted, killing anymob within 20m, mobs in different rooms, mobs you can't even see with busted mass destruction is pretty OP

True but with the fog and other factors involved, you don't always have the option to use full range and once they get close the aiming on spells is kinda wonky too, can't tell you how many times I just flat out shot the fireball right past the enemy lol

You don't need acid to do any of that either, but I'm all for wizards being OP it definitely suits the genre of the class but everything else definitely needs some help, maybe not ranger as much as melee, arrow cost reduction would probably be the best start for a ranger buff, but melee for the love of GAWD they need some love

I think aiming in general in this game is a little wonky, the tab target is a bit ignorant I have to disable it a lot when I'm using ranger so I can actually switch to the target running right at me instead of shooting to the mob two towns over behind the building passed out from a long night

Can't say how arrows work, I only know there's so many of them, lol - but I guess reduction for arrow cost is always a plus.

As for Melee, I used it quite a bit with some random epic weapons I found and it felt pretty powerful early to mid game, actually more powerful than my magic and wanrds were and it was just easy to use for fast damage, that being said it was without STR or other melee perks.

Can't say if the curve doesn't scale well into endgame tho

Melee is definitely still strong, if my video of me 3 hitting the last boss with jump attack wasn't evident enough but the build is so much more clunky and risk takey in comparison to standing back casting 2k fireball crits imo, it also feels like the only option when it comes to melee unless you want to be in the fight longer that 5 minutes slapping something with a wet noodle rofl

at 21 a mage has about 15 INT with food and everything, plus you use fire scrolls and the damage potions , it's an easy 70% extra damage that a pure mage would have, plus the extra gear for magic damage and crit

Unless you are specing into blink or something, INT is off the tablet at all. However you can use food to bump it up to 10 about

oh okay, well - it's extremely strong, I don't really use it that much, but the one time that I did, it pretty much almost one-shot a boss, he was left with like 20% hp, which I think is a bit excessive.

personally I think acid should be nerfed a bit, probably by around 50% to make it more balanced or spread out the damage into longer periods of time as in the poison does just as much damage, but ticks slower.
