every voxel game out there (Dual Universe, Landmark) has these features that people loved. Being able to go from a single voxel to a wall is actually necessary, if not, people will get bored with the outdated 'minecraft' building.

I think the devs here should go play Dual Universe for a month.......their game as excellent voxel building tools.....

its free to try......go try it....

this is the simple procedure of stretching a single voxel into a line of voxels, then the line into a wall and so on. This would make building much more dynamic and fun

and yes, now that the cat is out of the box.....WE CAN CRITICIZE what we don't like....ACTUALLY, its our JOB to do so....

this way, dev teams have direction from the players....and dev teams that listen.....buy yachts.....

and then there's Payday 3........

This is what I have so far - I have been trying different locations. I couldn't get my house built in Lionkeep to give me the lionkeep blocks when I deconstructed it. In fact to remove any of the Lionkeep structure I had to use a pickaxe. (I mean I was right next to the flame alter so I could build but deconstruction still did not get me new blocks.) Does anyone know if this was a 'bug' that was fixed from the beta?

Thank you for the possibility the test the game. I love you can bring material from other worlds to an another. I have played about 18 hours during the weekend in 5 different worlds and here is picture of my latest builds. I am on level 8 with ton of upgared legendary gear. Kind of OP 🙂 Building part is my favourite, but also the fighting system seems good. Runs relative smooth on my RTX3080. I only hope is that stamina consumbtion would be lower when mining and eventually you be able to hook anywhere with grappling hook, not only the predefined hooks. Yes, I mine a lot, and don't like waiting the stamina bar grow back. We tested also the co-op, and had a blast.

I dismantled one of the farm houses by placing the flame altar next to it and using building hammer. One of hammers first mode selections. It took some time to dismantle 2 blocks by blocks tool 🙂

From chests and the first boss. Replaying multiple times. In the current demo when you load the game everything refreshes in the world, that is not under Flame altar radius. But the character keeps the items. When I was hopping back and forth my Mining and Build worlds. I fought the boss multiple times and also opened ton of chests. It is random what you get from the chests 🙂

Yes, I looted multiple flame altars to get cores. You can re-loot them after restarting the World. I got Flame altar to level 3.

You get cores easily by placing the Altar near the Blacksmith location. There is one next to it and couple where you can fly with glider, I had altar next the Small flint mine, that I re-mined multiple times and run to get couple cores at the same.

Didn't had the chance to try building more because of performance issue but can you upgrade Wood building to Stone easily or is it required to manually destroy wood first ?

You have to manually tear them down, but replacing is quick as long as you're using the standard building blueprints and haven't done any custom pieces.

I do think swapping material should be as simple as using the proper shape, overlaying what you want to change, being in the correct material and just clicking.

Speaking of Stamina, after I got to Lv6-7, my stamina circle was at its 3rd stage. Take a ring for constitution. In talents/skills take constitution, +50% base stamina regen, less stamina usage & increased resting effect duration. Together with a comfort-level of 12 and about 20mins to go with it, I literally never had any issue.
The Stamina-Regen seems to work on percentage. So wether you have 1 circle or 3 circles of stamina pool, it takes the same time to fill up, therefore having 3x as high stamina regen.
And if I was in need of more StaminaRegen, there's still Honey as consumable for +15.

I have a third floor that's going to be kind of a throne room. Sadly with the bug where anything left of that banner regenerates even while in the altar's perimeter, I can't 100% rebuild, but that will happen come EA or full release 😄 That area on the other side of the twin arches will be a place for stabling horses before entering the keep proper. Then as you enter to the right through a door, there's two rooms on the left. One will be for the blacksmith, the other for the alchemist. The stairs that go down now have stairs going up to a 2nd level to the left of them, which leads to an open area for guards to patrol around, and has stairs leading to the keep's throne room. To the right as you enter the keep, I have not yet assigned that space to anything. Will probably just make it like an open area with tables and chests

The changes you make only stay in the flame alter build area - not sure about placed blocks though

The only time I tried to 'move' an alter in a build I ended up with a duplicate alter and the game crashed soon afterwards so I haven't tried again......mentally putting that back on the list of things to try.

Diagonals in voxel games will look more jagged than straight angles, but it's something you can overlook and integrate into a building.
Lemme see if I can find a tower someone did with a few diagonals in it so you have an idea

It took some doing, but it was pretty fun to build. I feel like it looks pretty good. My EA build is going to be something like a sprawling spanish casa with interior courtyards and stuff.

To get the large circle right, I just googled a pixel circle calculator and used the first result.

I kid you not, I squealed out loud when I saw the firefly lantern. THAT IS THE COOLEST ASSET EVER, and I spent the whole night hunting fireflies so I could make more. My other friend was obsessed with the skull candle, nice job on the illumination assets!

I actually enjoy the time spent chilling in front of the fireplace. That's a really nice detail and I like that we can lay campfires in the world to restore rested and don't have to "return home" every single time. The world feels more alive because of it.

Also... when I busted into the hole in the wall of that house, I did not expect a toilet. I was hyped for a fight, some treasure, idk, anything but a bathroom, and for some reason this cracked me up to no end. So, thank you for making realistic houses and for the giggle. 🤣 😂

The build hammer lets you put down large sections. Floor sections, walls, roofs, doorways e.t.c.
The blocks are optional, for detail work maybe 🙂

we havent gone that far yet but most dont realize you can completely rebuild that city, the material goes 64 meters down already block also

I got a 2x2 block first row of blocks and put it at my feet and just clicked away till i hit bottom lol then cleared the room to our liking then built stairs out and patched our original hole
