Hey guys, I have a serious problem in one of my bases. I have created a house in the middle of a forest and it's so nice and everything. I have worked on it for a few days now and finishing it.
The problem is that there are some patrolling monsters that not only keep entering my altar building area but they are moving into the house itself, attacking me and all.
How do I remove these monsters efficiently? (building walls is out of the question)

It is sadly wasting so much beautiful stuff. Some of the chairs alone could be so many things. Even the 20 year old game I used to played allowed for this for all furniture pieces.

I realize they might have done this so people aren't sitting upside down in chairs or laying upside down in bed, but I have to wonder if they can account for that and in the code disallow sleeping or sitting if the item is turned off axis at all

I do wish they would reconsider. Some of the pieces are beautiful and I can think of so many ways to use...if only.

Because fishes are more productive than npcs apparently

And about the gems, choose the one(s) that you want to use and recycle the rest but do the recycling in the last area because you will receive the tier of the area you are in and you can use t7 essences to level a gem from level 1 to 2 but can't use t1 essences to level it from level 44 to 45.

Use the low tier essences to level low level gems but i would check out all gems and see them in action before leveling

Also what kind of weapon you are socketing them matters too. Some of the gems have properties that uses a specific damage type to activate

Also the weapon is especially important to rogues and mages because when you are casting a spell, you are using the staff so the gem on the wand or any other weapon doesn’t affect the spell. Same for rogues, when you are shooting an arrow you are using a bow.

Yes I see those but like I said if a chest already had say Torn Cloth and I had some in my inventory all I had to do was look at the chest with the cloth and hit Shift+R and it'll deposit the cloth without opening the chest. It was so convienent and fast to empty our invbentory.

My husband when starting up Enshrouded told him his gaming laptop doesn't reach the requirements... so we updated his drivers and it said it again. His gaming laptop has always ran Enshrouded. It meets all the recommended specs actually. His game is running now. It's compiling shaders. It's just weird I guess

Mark every Gold chest you find. Every half to an hour, if you have been out of the area, open them for a chance at better armor and weapons

Is it just me or is the Fell Dragon the most unfun boss in gaming?

It's unfun but I can think of a few bosses off the top of my head that are magnitudes less fun across gaming

Godskin Duo or the Twin Gargoyles or the boss of the magic castle from Elden Ring, or that tentacle monster boss from Skyward Sword, or the Queen from Valheim, or....

I unironicallyt would rather fight all of those in a single gauntlet than do the fell dragon once

This thing is resistant to all damage, basically cant be stunned, never fires his main mechanic that lets him be stunned, can't be reached, has a ton of health, cant be targeted by titan hook, the middle pit is deadly shroud so you cant even rising slash him, bows and spells do nothing wands can't reach him

I genuinely cannot think of a single boss worse designed

||Jump on one of the mountains to the side and flick arrows at him for an hour. When he does that 'blow you off the pedistal' attack you'll ideally have the mountain to your back and not get blown away.||

We know how to do the fight. He's just such a beefcake compared to everything else and his stun meter takes so long to go down. We used endless spells, we parried the fire balls every 5 minuites they were actually fired, went through over 2k stun arrows and fired endless lighting the whole time.

I honestly think he would be pretty enjoyable if he did the fireballs more frequently, he didn't keep such an obscene distance from you, didn't have obscene resistances and you could hook to him

I genuinely cannot imagine wanting to slog through the HP sponge of the Valheim queen over fighting any other boss in gaming, that thing made me stop playing Valheim lol

I do agree that the dragon is pretty unfun, but there's a slew of bosses that are just less fun in design or execution imo.

The adds actually made the fight easier for me to clear cuz it let me rapidly build focus for wand specialty. I'd use 2handers to instant get the ult, jump into the center and fire the blackhole

I'm of the unchanging opinion that a boss should be fun and engaging enough on its own to not need adds. Adds are, to me, a statement of "I didn't know what to do. The boss needed something to do when it hits a lower health. Have some regular enemies I guess"

The only exception is like, if the adds make sense. Like for a necromancer boss or a bug queen (as long as she actually takes or DOES damage so the fight isn't just both of you chipping away at a big health bar)

Adds can be a part of the theme and mechanics. In games built upon on kill effects they are required in bosses. Adds do have a lot of great uses. Though I do t disagree they are often used as padding

I've always felt magic was kinda privleged compared to the others in the early game and while the damage tapers off in comparison, it makes up in utility

Just stat highway and the game is easy

max mage apprentice and get 4 int nodes. you waste only 2 points on spirit and arcane deflection, max quick charge after that then go for a ton more int nodes. boom mage blows through every shroud root in springlands and revelwood faster than any other class

The only thing I wish was different was ice bolt 1 freezing more often and having access to more spells early since their damage falls off compairitvely after that and they make up in utility... but they don't get that utility at the same rate that they fall off in damage

out of curiousity, how do you feel about wands early game?

like the ice wand in particular.

the second you pick them up they do less damage than one handed, but if you play with 200% or even 150% damage they save time in letting you play safe with less risk. So I end up using one handed for most things until I get a few more points that I can stat dump into damage, but switch to wand if I think death is going to kill time on my run.

ya. ive heard there's a lot of issues with wands too, apperently their durability is really bad.
and the ice wand does a terrible amount of damage although supposedly it slows enemies.

but ya, the only setting I change for that damage or hp or anything is stamina. I always set stamina to 400%, everything else I leave at base.

their durability is awful. I usually have like 2 or 3 wands early and If I plan on making wands my main damage source late, they are the only weapon type I cap the durability perk on which is painful. But they generate focus faster than any other weapon making them a little nutty so I don't mind the tax. I think the real pain with wands is that you are forced to take mana generation with them when they don't use mana and are perfectly good as a primary weapon

If you go to the combat settings I set everything as far right as possible

In normal difficulty I can beat the game using only axes and pick axes as my weapon

Like, if you make him fly a little closer so wands can hit and melee can use rising slash more safely. Reduce the amount of damage sponging, and make it so giant slayer hook can target it, then have the fireballs launch at set intervals, I think it could be a really epic fight

The drakes are important to the fight though! They allow focus gen and on kill perks to proc. Gives a lot more skill expression on how you handle the fight. It's thematically really cool too!

If you run melee, the best way to deal with them is parry their attack and then just smite them, they are really squishy

True! But that's your fault for not predicting it. The enemies are very readable. It's aactually the biggest skill in 2 handers with their obscenely long frame data

It single handedly made them my favorite playstyle. Big risk, big reward

If you get shockwave it even works against large groups

i had to resort to ring outs to beat them in SC2 which one of them hated.
