Well i have noticed that some can take more, or take less hits from things like our own pickaxe. We have some accident prone players in our group and I just wanted to know what might be the stronger ones that cant easily bust from tool or magic use.

Once your tools are fully upgraded you'll chew through most blocks in 2 or less hits tbh.

I am new and considering buying the game. I wonder, is the dagger gameplay fun and is it viable in the endgame? I am okay with occasionally using other weapons, but I want to play mostly with daggers. Is it okay to play this way? Is it harder/easier or more/less grindy than other styles?

We have both tagged a player who is the resident expert on the subject. I play as a ranger so daggers are my melee option, what I will say there are looking like they have some lovely improvements coming on Tuesday with this next update.

They pair nicely with the Bow which is in a pretty decent spot, so you'll not have to break the bank to maintian good damage against flyers etc

I-Frames are being added in the next update as well, which is going to be huge for the Dagger playstyle IMO.

Basically you can start your world as private or host it, this decision is not final. You can chop and change with the same save.

Private is solo.

Hosted you can set up passwords to give people different levels of access.

With LFG you will be joining other people's hosted worlds

You can progress Personal(Flameborn) quests but not Embervale (World) quests - I THINK, do not take my word on this one.

More than likely, it's possible to just cause the server to push a world save to all clients online whenever it saves itself. However, their save system is still a bit of a mess and I'm sure they would love to have that cleaned up first.

On keyboard and mouse normally you have to follow the instructions at bottom right to unlock the fine adjustment menus, then once you have them open you use G or R or T to switch between the three major axes.

I was assuming we'd see more. Keen doesn't strike me as a team to rest on their laurels.

They seem to really enjoy building this game and probably have way too many ideas for post-1.0

I want to complain about a gripe I have with gaming in general today.

I always see people complaining about transmog and weapon level up grinding in video games, specifically with single player games. But it is always a double standard.

People will see Gacha games and MMOs where the grind for building a character can take weeks if not months and they will say the pacing is actually quite fair.

But then when it comes to singleplayer games, unless u can un-upgrade with full mat returns or have instant free transmog right from the get go, it's considered bad, lazy and overly punishing of a grind.

It's like with MH today versus monster hunter then or like old halo ves modern halo (with the iconic samurai armor) before making builds used to be a major aspect of playing games, and then earning good looks was yet another thing one earned through (and ik this is crazy too some) PLAYING the GAME-

So I don't understand the constant push by modern gamers to want to play a game less, if they supposedly "love playing the game"

I've have always loved when in games "good visual cosmetics" was something you had to earn rather than being flat out given it. It's why I really like the dye system in Enshrouded, the recipes are complex and you have too worl hard to earn the color coordination and style u like.

And while I think respecs and being able to reverse upgrade things can be nice, I do believe they should be something you have too earn. Rather than pulling time away from actually engaging with a game by making it an automatic, zero effort option with no gameplay requirements behind it.

But again jus remember, all of these complaints are good things when applied to MMO's and quite a few Gacha games.. so I jus don't understand the duality. Why do people want so bad to have less time to play Singleplayer games but if its an MMO it's the more the merrier.

I agree with you entirely in terms of exploration, I do get slightly gripey when I have to craft a thing to craft a thing to craft a thing to craft THE thing I want and all the elements are in completely different places xD

But yeah you are right and that is solidly a Me Problem

I think for me not having to Google where to find ingredients and stuff would be helpful cos it kind of ruins the immersion

So if the crafting recipes you pinned had rough location guides on them or something that'd help

That's a fine addition though, since it doesn't actually pull away from actually playing the game itself

But also if a game has items located in static locations then it's more so a "play the game and learn the world" solution.

Like people who play BG3, Skyrim or DS for the 11th time.

If there was a compendium of every undiscovered item then a game will lose its suprise and adventurous factor and just become a checkbox list.

Though if the compedium filled out as u find an item, then also will liat other possible locations one can find said item and it can also optionally be carried over too new saves as well.

The reason is simple: in single-player games, everyone can get them, but in MMOs, they can’t.
More often than not, the best stuff comes after pointless grinding. Let me give you a practical example: in FF14, if you remember, I posted a screenshot where my character has black wings. Well, to get them, you have to complete something like 8000 special events...

I like how MHGU did transmog, u get tickets from just doing G (master) rank quests, which can be used to transmog one crafted gear onto another crafted gear.

Devs if you see this message...I was wondering if there could be some type of levitating mode to make it easier to build...instead of it being a random mechanic you could make it a skill on the mage side of the skill tree...doesnt even have to be crazy levitation just a simple up and down...inside base perimeter it wouldn't take stamina or just deplets slowly but outside of base perimeter it drains decently fast maybe? I just want to be able to float/levitate when I build lol...thats all I got🙏🏽
