I'm just about to craft the level 13 armor with the blacksmith and I have a question. Why would anyone craft the Adventurer Trousers over the Tank Trousers? The stats are the same, but the Tank Trousers give you +15 to Piercing where the Adventurer Trousers offer no bonus. Am I missing something?

just a warning, the difficulty is only checking your level compared to the level of the area nearby. so somewhat rarely the quest may be a lot harder but say "easy" or really easy to accomplish but says "hard" cause you're low level

Maybe I will have to go to stillwater and find it without a quest. It would be a better design to have the quests listed at each person.

I found this really cool shield with a blue light on it, but it's underpowered compared to the one I crafted myself. Is there any way of like tiering up weapons/items in this game? Like level scaling them?

If it's a lore item, you can craft better versions later from the survivors (in this case the shields are from the Blacksmith). However, the item level you get is dependant on your flame level (higher flame level = higher item level you can craft) and their rarity is blue at best.

I'm guessing it's ||Pikemead's Bulwark?||

You can craft higher level versions of that shield from the Blacksmith, but how high the level is depends on your flame level

For example, that cool fire sword that you find at a scavenger cave early on in the game, I can craft it from the first villager guy, but it's like 23 damage when my other weapons have 50.

So to get that damage/level up, I'll need to upgrade the flame?

Tinting metal had ...in other games...shown to be challenging. Cloth takes dyes fine but the same dye on metal can be ewwwwwww. Maybe water was all they want to fight right now.

someone had an amazing idea, that you can't use "dye" on the metal, but you can use different ingots on the metal. to change what type of metal it is.
Gold, Bronze, Iron, Steel, Copper, Silver, ect. and it'd cost 1 bar to "Re-plate" the armor

Idk if it's game jank or because I updated something that was from Intel on my laptop right before but I started experiencing some weird bugs where lighting and certain enemies weren't spawning and remained invisible

I ran through the entire Nomads Hollow Halls and had a bunch of moments where hollow mages kept summoning invisible ghosts or throwing invisible ice volleys, or the grenades I threw were invisible, and most enemies die into invisible piles

Two questions about quests...

1. My partner and I are playing co-op, but they seem to have quests in their log that I've already done, when they were in the game no-less, that they no longer can do? According to google search this is a bug that has just not been resolved ever is that right?
2. How do I find a quest on the map? I'm tracking it as my main quest but I can't for the life of my find its quest icon anywhere (specifically: Dog Search)

we're both at the same part of Dog Search, but they are the only one with a quest icon on the map for it. When I look in the same spot it's not there..

Many quests do this. Search Area with ? on the map vanishes once you find the location.

Yeah, trust me, me and Cub (the other CM) have complained about how complicated our save file system is many, many times lmao. Running contests like #1451216749130154175 with dozens or hundreds of save files to manage is such a pain

My only issue was finding where the heck the file sits. Other than that, when I moved my dedicated server, everything went with it.

It's server-side state stays with it, and your player state follows your account separately

Managed to get my friends world working with all the quests and flame altars etc etc but only when having the cloud saves disabled

Odd, I've never had an issue with cloud saves...but how are you running it? Locally from the same PC you're playing on?

If I put my friends files inside the local folder, the one in c users savedgames, then it works (once steam cloud is turned off)

However if I just try to replace files inside the steam cloud folder then the world either disappear completely or its bonestock

That begs another question, if you take someone else's cloud-saved game and run it on yours, does it cause issues? I've never tried that.

I don't even know what the info files are there for...they're not even being updated as far as the PC is concerned. The only ones that change are the index and the world "" through "-9" files, which are save references.

Pretty sure they will respawn and still drop the needed item, but you'll need the distance / time trick for it to do so.

keep and hoard every material you can :P especially early on

and when you are working on "upgrading your flame level" make a non-magic chest and put it beside the flame altar, then fill it with the upgrade materials... the first upgrade is kinda a tutorial and is easy to do, but as you progress farther it gets a bit more important to hold off on upgrading, cause your quest log will fill up super fast if you prioritize upgrading the flame over "doing quests first"

it can get overwhelming, so as you gather materials to upgrade the flame... hold off on it and finish the quests that are in the current zone first makes it less overwhelming

I am all for Link in pottery stores... I will correct this though, blunt weapons do more damage than non-blunt weapons to metal structures... but a pickaxe is flat out un-rivaled when it comes to damaging metal and stone stuff. just use a pickaxe on metal furniture, or a felling/chopping axe on wood furniture, they're way better than using weapons for the same task.

The two are very different styles. Sword and board is very straightforward and functional. Greatsword is still being refined by devs and among the most challenging choices to pick right now, requiring proper perks and a very specific playstyle.

Think of the red on the saffron plant not as red but a very dark red orange because that's what it actualy is.

It's really orange. and when that red bit is dryed IRL it turns orange.

and then when used as a dye or spice only the yellow pigments in that orange stick. And they stick very very well.

This is quite possibly because of DLSS 4.5; if you go to K mode it should help; L mode and M mode are not compatible with Enshrouded at this time. Alternately, turn off DLSS.

Nah, only cooks if you're logged into that world - same as chest/mob respawns taking 30 minutes of game time and you being at least 562 meters away for that whole time.

You can check your ping to the server by its IP address and run a Traceroute to it as well. Your bandwidth is only part of the equation, you also need to account for the traffic between you and the server, kind of like how a traffic accident can make a drive take longer than usual.

They target you, not NPCs or animals, but they also use grenades and can see you through your built structures.

So if your built structure is near enough their path and you're in it, expect grenadiers and splash damage.

Feels weird to only craft metal plates at one station which arent that usefull. And also some materials are needed till lategame while some are only needed one time.

hey, my friends and i all just got the game and one of them cant connect to our server. we have tried hosting the server of of two different computers in two different states. does not work. He can join the server but immediately lags out and says lost connection to server. He cant even host his own server because we lag out of his game. We have multiple people who dont have an issue connecting. its only him. We have been enjoying the game but sadly this has largely ruined it as we wanted to play as a group and probably will be refunding if a solution is not found. I have searched everywhere for a solution and cant find anything that works. He even went and bought a whole new router just to make sure. This is the only game we have ever had an issue with.

Is the mage going to get buffed? For the first time after almost 200 hours of gameplay, I decided to start a new run as a mage because my friend just started playing. And man… this was the first time I actually ran away from fights, because the character simply deals no damage at all. The staff is almost useless, and spells like projectiles are extremely expensive to cast for very low damage. You need a lot of mana, you have to be lucky enough to hit, and you must keep proper distance because spells have limited range (while simple wooden arrows hit harder than high-tier spells). The percentages don’t match what the skills claim either—for example, the skull summoning skill: after killing 20 enemies, sometimes not a single one spawns! Healing abilities are completely useless; it’s much better to rely on potions than to try casting staff spells in the middle of a brawl. I thought I’d turn into some kind of Darth Sidious… but instead I became a tired old man worn out by battle!

since this game is more like a building game than an rpg game, you can absolutely abuse certain things

for example, use your first skill points to buy double jump asap

and with double jump you can get on high ground where most enemies cant reach you and then shoot fireballs at them

double jump is so busted in this game i think every build uses it but not everybody puts enough importance to get it asap

I do that sometimes, but I can’t do it all the time. Like in the Hollow Halls—I just completed the Kindlewastes one and had to skip the last two bosses because I simply don’t have any damage at all! I’m level 28, btw!

what is the "missed quest" tab. like how did i miss a quest .

its for multiplayer realy

sometimes people do a quest on a multiplayer world whilst their friend isnt online.
that friend then can simply restart that quest via that menu

it only lists 4 quests which we all did together and i have the rewards from it as well.

its not only about level. i guess its also about the right pieces ^^

I use gear with high damage, comboing it with my skills, and it still doesn’t help. I’ll still try going for a tank mage to see if it’s worth it, or just wait until level 45 to see if it was really worth my time.
