I have preemptively bought the wet/soaked penalty reduction buffs and the water dash lol. We'll see how badly I wanna keep 'em.

Strangely enough, on my character stats I still show -30% stam regen/stam, not the perk-reduced amount. Not sure if it's a bug or what.

I think this game's general combat philosophy is analogous enough to Dark Souls in the "don't let the baddies touch you" mindset.

So it's good to practice parries, rolls/blinks and occasional blocks. I set aside time to perfect the timing as best I could around level 18 or so with the giant bitey jumpy shroud monsters in Umber Hollow.

Yeah. That works pretty well. But that helps avoid them. My comment is basically just about the ridiculous emount of damage everything is doing when they DO hit you. LOL

I have a question: i've noticed that weapons now have a "secondary" attack when you delay between hits. Is it considered to be automatic crit? Is it a usable thing?

While you can dig your way up and out, I find that there are usually paths (sometimes literal, sometimes using level-design tricks like sightlines & landmarks) that go between "levels". And sometimes those will lead to bits of loot or lore, as well, so they are worth exploring. You just have to be careful before entering the shrouded valleys : first look for either a path leading down, or a building whose roofline clearly rises above the shroud. If you just glide down without having a landmark like that in mind, you may be trapped.

There are multiple character files. You would change the index of the current character save in one of the fies to use a previous one.

Backups:

  • There is no distinct "primary" save—whichever file the -index file points to is loaded.

Managing Saves

Transferring Saves:

  • This must be done whilst the game is closed.
  • To share a save, copy the latest world save I.E (3ad85aea-7).
  • Dedicated servers only use Slot 1. Rename a save file to match Slot 1 if needed.
  • Files can be renamed to move them between slots.

Rolling Back to an Older Save:

  • Open the -index file in a text editor.
  • Find the line "latest": X (where X is a number from 0-9).
  • Change it to the desired backup index and save the file.

Additional Notes

  • The -info file contains metadata (like world name) but is not needed for servers.
  • Each player generates their own -info files when creating a world.
  • The latest world save files are what should be transferred.
    Ensure you copy all required files when sharing a save. For servers, only Slot 1 is used.

when I roll back I change each of the three index files you find in that directory.

they had several ores and such that accidently spawned materials form other zones. they fixed alot of them with the last patch back to amber as they were intended

a year ago. i could've sworn we get the hint of a target/item when we are in the vicinity, it will tell you when you pan around to see. now i don't see it at all. not sure if it's implemented after. but all it tells me is i reach location and i can't locate where the thing/place/target is. i tried browsing guides. and too many just cut to where they land and start cutting off important guide to show you how to get to it. or they're battling so much in between that i lose count what's the objective.

I used to have a circuit before people knew about the save and quit, and it would take about 15 to 20 minutes for like 10 golden chests at level 20 and 25. Now that the world ahs opened up more, I'm sure there'd be more than enough to set it up in a way I could ABF for them.

And my second character number 2 its for my server hosted named here 2.

When I change the food duration buff on my server 1 for my character 1 at 60% all its ok

But When

I use my character 2 for my server hosted 2 he as the same modification of the first server
In normal Time in my server 2 I do have 100 % Time buff duration but actually at 100% its equal at the Time of the 60% of my solo server

I checked the spawn for the cat in the desert area on the upper patio that I saw in the past and he's gone now - and I did see the cat in the alchemist tower once when I first started playing but I didn't know I could tame it yet and I scared it off attacking a rat.

I cant craft anything new cuse im missing a lot of metarial. my main quest are locked bh this red shroud I cant get throw, I wanna build the mage storage box and start a village but I cant cuse I cant craft the blue dust from alchemist, and I dont have any quest from him to progress

Well slow up, stop rushing. A lot of quests are reliant on a quest beforehand being done.

What level is your flame altar at the moment?

My first plan would be clear out quests close to your main spire or any from any of the NPCs.

I haven't been able to tell exactly which forges are for which level but it's safe to assume that if you get archaic essences of a certain level, the gem forges in that area will be able to work with that level

Its pretty much by area for the levels. So once you know the level of the area you know the forge capability

there's a legendary one I've been itching to use that makes your initial bow shot significantly stronger, which would be great for me since I'm a melee fighter mainly and it would let me pick off more enemies more efficiently. but of course, I haven't installed it because of all you have to do and I'm not sure the convenience it will introduce is worth the inconvenience of stopping what I'm doing to go get everything set up for that

Cloud Save (Default):
Open the folder where Steam is installed (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam). You can find the path from your Steam client menu under Steam > Settings > Storage.

There are 10 Save Slots available for your game worlds.
Save Slots:

Backups:

  • Each slot has 10 rotating copies numbered 0-9.
    The file at index 0 has no suffix, but is still part of the rotation.

  • There is no distinct "primary" save—whichever file the -index file points to is loaded.

Managing Saves

Transferring Saves:

  • This must be done whilst the game is closed.
  • To share a save, copy the latest world save I.E (3ad85aea-7).
  • Dedicated servers only use Slot 1. Rename a save file to match Slot 1 if needed.
  • Files can be renamed to move them between slots.

Rolling Back to an Older Save:

  • Open the -index file in a text editor.
  • Find the line "latest": X (where X is a number from 0-9).
  • Change it to the desired backup index and save the file.

Additional Notes

  • The -info file contains metadata (like world name) but is not needed for servers.
  • Each player generates their own -info files when creating a world.
  • The latest world save files are what should be transferred.
    Ensure you copy all required files when sharing a save. For servers, only Slot 1 is used.

my biggest actual "this needs to be fixed" complaint currently is areas with very slight clearance above the red death fungus patches will still rapidly drop your shroud time without being obviously hazardous

so you'll be in the shroud and drop onto what you think is a safe island in the middle of red death and then step on the wrong patch of harmless mycelium and your shroud timer will be drained before you even realize what's happening

i've yet even explore the expansion for water. i know it has much water related content like diving and apparently ponds all around that i can see. i'm assuming water breath is a thing like how long we can stay under. but now there's one that goes further lower? it better allow prolonged breathing and spaces we can recover

i can't say. i was on hiatus from the game for a year. when i return. much had change. terrain, new quests, new expansion/content. to make things fair, i recreated another character to learn what i don't recall. traversing terrain is a thing i never imagine to be challenging. but i definitely don't know much on water. other than finding there's fishing ponds to swamp

funny thing was that i hope to have glass as a building material. since i found sand last year. and enshrouded hadn't implemented. only did water expansion did a surge of request for glass as building block was highly requested. i wanted transparent glass effect but i guess it's too much to ask?

enshrouded has trouble with transparent textures, which is why until water there were NO transparent textures in the game. if a window was see-through it was just... nothing there, no glass. the only window with glass has 100% Opaque glass (which water can still leak through)

the bolts would both be the same elements, but could be more than one element at the same time. so 1 projectile could be electric+frost or whatever.
I am not 100% sure but I think that the "reduced damage" thing doesn't cut it in half... there are still ways to recover durability though, and it all depends on your skill points and play style, I don't use wands but when I did for a bit, I had one that was just one projectile.

I carry repair kits. Use repair "stations" when I see them. Haven't run into any problems yet. I do know I can pretty much lay waste to most medium sized groups on hard/survival.
