i think it really just depends on style of play, and expectations. Enshrouded, there's a lot of synergy to each player having a responsibility. Like we have someone that does all of the mining and smelting.. so they maintain the Blacksmith house. We have someone that manages the farming and husbandry tasks, so they run the farm.

So on and so forth..

We each build separate bases for that function, and then travel between if we need something from them.

You can pretty much get anywhere with the right determination and method. But the water zone is the current 'end game' zone, so even if you get there you're probably going to die unless you set pacified enemies.

Managing Saves

Transferring Saves:

• This must be done whilst the game is closed.
• To share a save, copy the latest world save I.E (3ad85aea-7).
• Dedicated servers only use Slot 1. Rename a save file to match Slot 1 if needed.
• Files can be renamed to move them between slots.

Rolling Back to an Older Save:

• Open the -index file in a text editor.
• Find the line "latest": X (where X is a number from 0-9).
• Change it to the desired backup index and save the file.

Additional Notes

• The -info file contains metadata (like world name) but is not needed for servers.
• Each player generates their own -info files when creating a world.
• The latest world save files are what should be transferred.
  Ensure you copy all required files when sharing a save. For servers, only Slot 1 is used.

A few observations though.
In multi player, with the other player across the map, sounds of combat action somehow bleeds over to me in base. LOUDLY!
Some bases have the terrain around it, excavated as if it was done on purpose.

Ah. The bug i've heard of, is people loosing their keybinds, and having to redo them every time.

But yeah... i read somewhere in the patchnote that they made some changes to keybind setting so that conflicts gets notified to the user.

except it's broken because Take All conflicts with Take (which the game claims is bound to F), but the actual Take command is within Contextual Action, which is bound to E, so no matter what I do I have an annoying (!) notification and bugged take commands. and this is on top of the fact that I now can't do anything because the game seems to no longer be balanced for solo play at all. my level 35 mage gets two-shot by any enemy near her level, rendering my build completely useless.

the abstract context of awakening...then being the waker-upper...and all the pieces of lore scattered around, I thought, gave a pretty clear picture of the world, the issues the societies were facing, the conflicts and personal stories all sorta tied together in a way for me that created a memory of a time...but that's in retrospect, and the current environment is all post-colapse...the elixir wars, and the shroud overtaking/infecting...we are just part of the plan and foresight of the Ancients, who saw the need for a solution to a problem. It was all bound to collapse. We show up and do some cleaning. (which regens to recycle game-play) but, the context and meaning remains. my two-cents on the lore/purpose of what we're doing 'in-game'

So a long time ago I made the gates of Ironforge (from wow) and just like the main entry way on my dedicated server. I didn’t build the whole city… I ain’t got that kinda time! lol.
My friend loves it and I know he likes to check it out.
So I put some water pipes up on the ceiling and closed the gates and now the whole entry area is filling with water.
I let it run for like 20 minutes and it only filled about 1/4 of the way. But even with that much, when I open the front doors I am engulfed in water and start to get swept away.
I just regret that I won’t be on to see him later when he walks up to the gates all excited to check it out and either he gets swept down the mountain or his f——— client crashes.

Likely mostly due to the technical challenges. Also gotta remember that they're building the engine as well as the game, so big updates like water are gonna require a crazy amount of work all over the place. It's not just new content or animations, but ALSO engine stuff that is super complicated.

After yesterday's update, many people were saying during my livestream that I was only getting around 20 frames per second.

This might be a low-configuration or settings issue, but optimization definitely needs improvement, especially the problem of shaders taking 30 minutes to load.

During periods when shaders are not properly loaded, spellcasting and arrow releases lack trajectory; during combat, you can't see your own attacks or the enemy's movements, and you die inexplicably.

That does sound more like a software conflict between your streaming software and the game. Perhaps flag it as that in the bug report, see if that gets the right kind of attention.

On the main screen, my FPS is 60. But once I entered the game, because the Ancient Spire was newly opened, my FPS dropped to 20 at the top of the new tower.

I would suggest at least running threough the first 3 options of the /minidump command (you can type it in here) to try and do some optimization of your own system to see if that helps, and also resetting your graphics settings in the game specifically to default to see if it helps.

So I'm currently getting 60 FPS with max settings and even quality im only getting 96 FPS. Got a ryzen 9800x3d and RX 9070 XT (32 GB Ram). Game looks good but no offence with specs I have and texture details of game i should be getting way better FPS with my card. Is this new update botched with optimisation? Realistically should be getting alot more than what im getting now.

Game is early access 😉 They're continuously working on optimisation. A few content patches back and shroud fog used to be the GPU cooker.

alright. heres the gist of it. yes the game needs more optimization. which it constantly gets. but as ointed out its an in development, early access title with an in house simultabiously build engine on voxel basics meaning it has very drasticly different demands thanany other games.

they are constantly working on updates.and this one just came out with a water physics addition that needs more polish which it will get over time

beyond filling with the terrain tool, there's not much option other than pulling the altar, and placing another a little further out - but that incurs risk and cost :/

and then waiting a few hours for the terrain to regen

Best you can do is use the terrain tools from the build hammer and pick the biggest shape and get spamming 😉
