I don't see why they could not build in a feature to change what material/block something is made of. Like changing wood to stone, etc. Seems to me that's exactly what the game does when loading up. It looks at the voxel changes to the environment and applies a block material to them.

There are 10 Save Slots available for your game worlds.

Backups:

Managing Saves

Transferring Saves:

• This must be done whilst the game is closed.
• To share a save, copy the latest world save I.E (3ad85aea-7).
• Dedicated servers only use Slot 1. Rename a save file to match Slot 1 if needed.
• Files can be renamed to move them between slots.

Rolling Back to an Older Save:

• Open the -index file in a text editor.
• Find the line "latest": X (where X is a number from 0-9).
• Change it to the desired backup index and save the file.

Additional Notes

• The -info file contains metadata (like world name) but is not needed for servers.
• Each player generates their own -info files when creating a world.
• The latest world save files are what should be transferred.
  Ensure you copy all required files when sharing a save. For servers, only Slot 1 is used.

My local, I don't use clouds, are saved in the users directory.

In a folder marked enshrouded. I just copy the whole folder and if I mess up rename the backup to ' enshrouded ' and go. On my merry way.

I have also edited the info files (which have a last played line) to reflect whatever time frame I wanna roll back to.

There are three info files per save slot though I don't know if all three are needed.

I mean I was thinking more of a summoning/stable system like world of Warcraft and whistle commands similar to Ark Survival. I felt like a marriage between those systems would work well in Enshrouded with the magic being integrated with the survival elements.

Yeah I mean why not give some challenge to pets that are actually worth it. An example for me is the first fell dragon you encounter in the castle. Make an egg a rare drop. Because with that you could even add the separation between regular pets and pets that can survive in the shroud.

Managing Saves

Transferring Saves:

• This must be done whilst the game is closed.

• Files can be renamed to move them between slots.

Rolling Back to an Older Save:

• Open the -index file in a text editor.
• Find the line "latest": X (where X is a number from 0-9).

Additional Notes

• Each player generates their own -info files when creating a world.
• The latest world save files are what should be transferred.

The maximum number of altars you can place is a server limitation, but up until that limit yeah there's nothing stopping you guys from having separate flame altars

Depends on what you're asking for I guess, if you want an unlimited number of flame altars, no that's not possible at the moment.

You should be able to upgrade your altar to avoid the deadly shroud for the next zone, it's one of the main progression blockers

An easy material to miss accidentally comes from the mushroom things I think

If you have the mortar, go to the alchemist and make the bug dust...that is the most missed crafting material in the beginning game that holds back a lot of other things

I count myself lucky. I was working for the same company during covid. We saved their asses by proving the board of directors wrong and showed strong sales throughout covid. The board came to us after covid and said we can have anything we want, we asked to remain WFH and they granted it unconditionally. I have co-workers who had to RTO in January, but our group is 100% exempt for as long as we stay under their employment.
