only thing to keep in mind:

ifyour altar area overwrites a changed area then youd have to either live with it or change location. but other than that your entire worldmap always will get updated

(inside altar areas wont be changes to the new things. it will stay the way you made it)

there are gem forges hidden in the shroud. You often get quests to find them. Depending on the biome, you can upgrade them with the fitting archic Essence, which you find in the same biome as well.

This is much of europe on a much larger scale lol constantly digging up old roman empire. Theres a handful in town here in Malaga, and im sure they are still discovering stuff as buildings are torn down/rebuilt.

Theres a little chunk of roman bath currently surrounded by old buildings and a temporary wall. Idk if its a more recent discovery or what, still trying to find out what the scoop is.

The other day i wandered down into an underground parking garage to use a public toilet, and there was a massive section of old ruins. No label, sign or anything - just there. 🤷

My Grandmother travelled all over Europe seeing temples, castles, any ruins she could find she had a huge soft spot for Barcelona though.
