I love the resource worlds. Because I’ve done everything and explored everything in the game so far, it’s nice when I wanna build something big and have the ability to get everything without farming a ton

When the new update comes, ofc I’m gonna want to explore and discover everything myself before going back to resource world

pretty much this. ofc you will rob yourself off gameplay if you use them to early, before havin explored things for yourself. but afterwards there isnt much "gameplay" in hours and hours of brainless grinds

at the end of the day, if you enjoy the grind. power to you. but phrasing this as "cheating" when you actualy earned everything "the proper way" beforehand. then its simply quality of life rather than a cheat

For builders resource worlds are perfect as we've no "creative" as far as I know. Otherwise: Depends for me if there's an actual lack of anything (i.e. shroud cores are a bit rare at the moment if one doesn't want to farm the same enemies over and over).

I'm personally not a fan of dealing with the same enemy etc. more than once to be honest. That makes some things more rare than others. But that's my playstyle.

Maybe as a tip: Just because your char is a mage for example doesn't mean you've to wear full mage armor. The blacksmith has some body pieces which add a lot of hp too if you're doing close combat.

Depending on how many goats you have, might mass produce the food and add some extra feeders if you want to. But it's not "necessary" as you can feed them when one of them is on and then they'll start to produce again after a bit.

As for distinguishing the areas: The "easiest" is going by "terrain".

While not always 100% exact: Springlands is "Everything that looks like starting area" (it includes "Low Meadows" to the right of it). Revelwood is "many trees and a little bit darker terrain" (includes the Blackmire with the very huge trees too for some aspects). Kindlewastes is the desert. Albaneve is the snow area. And Nomad Highlands is the remaining one (I think "steppe" is the English word to describe it).

The capital city is between Blackmire and Nomad Highlands in regards to level.

Pros are that exploration is fun and feels good, the world is large and varied and beautiful to look at, and it has frankly if not the best one of the best building systems in the genre. Cons are since it's still EA, bugs can happen, occasionally we see performance issues with new features before they're worked out, and the combat system to a lot of people can feel a bit flat because it isn't finished yet

All told, it's an extremely polished EA game that gets consistent updates. It's one of the best EA games I've been a part of

It really depends on how you approach it. If you beeline, probably between 20 - 40 hours, if you take your time exploring things, expanding your crafting, and working on your base? over 100 isn't unheard of

And beyond that if you're into building, 300 hours is considered low in here xD

It's open world so if you want you can only do the necessary quests, ignore the side quests that unlock things like new blocks and cosmetics, and hit things undergeared/under leveled. But there's plenty of content if you want to do everything

Decent variety. They're sitll in the process of adding things so especially with the fell you'll see a bit of repetition. But there are 6 major biomes and each feels completely unique, and with it being a hand crafted map there is a decent variety of unique POIs (points of interest)

Also crypts, dungeons, catacombs, etc to find

(the fell are specific enemies in the shroud you fight, they mostly function like monsters/zombies)

Worth getting? Absolutely, without a doubt. There are a few things, like the fighting system, that isn't 100% yet and will get an update, and there are parts of the world that isn't built yet, but what is there is a big varied beautiful world with hidden gems and surprises everywhere, lots of great missions, lots of crafting and a world class building system, just take a look in #1200109637815517184 and see what the members have built.

That's exactly what I did, it's IMO far too punishing of a curse, like maybe if it cured itself after 10-20 mins or on death, but as it stands now it simply seems awful in terms of balance

They redone the entirity of the shroud in the last patch, added more to the areas as well as changed the physics for the shroud fog itself. So that it is thicker around the edges and thinner on the interior. I can tell you when some of us tested it before it was public, it was muuuuuch thicker than it is now 😄

Can someone open up a bit the "power" of the weapons? I do have now "green", LVL 33, spiked bow with power 44, +8 Fire magic.
I found a new, yellow, LEGENDARY, Dragon's Wing bow, that I updated twice, it's now LVL 35 and it's still "just" power 34 with +18 fire damage?

So what should I think and add about the hitpoints, extra damages and such when choosing which bow should I use?

I think the DPS should make sense knowing that one of them shoots arrows 40% faster than the other

Exactly, you read stories of everyone waiting until the dog can't walk, can't see, can't breathe etc. This is the best thing we can do, although it doesn't help in the moment, I suppose. He's such a Handsome dog.

if arrow amount is a concern, it can make sense to keep the slower-firing bow, but if you've got plenty already, I'd say shoot away

it also depends on what kind of enemies you're facing: in a crowded place where movement and relocating between shots is paramount to stay alive, a fast-shooting bow can be very handy

if it's a boss fight and you think you'll need a lot of ammo, making every arrow hit harder will go a long way towards conserving arrows
