At 1080p with no build objects (Basically I didn't modify the land or build anything) I get 60fps average.
As soon as I start adding a ton of decorations, building objects, trees (Especially trees, omg the trees) My framerate tanks.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that I thought they were going to include “water” as the typical layer with a moving texture due to the complexity of fluid physics. Seeing that they've managed to include water with physics in a game like Enshrouded, which uses extremely high-quality and detailed voxels, is a technical marvel that pushes the limits of the engine like never before. The big problem with that is the resetting nature of the game, so you couldn't really tunnel it to your base as it would reset the tunnel, and if your base is on the top of a mountain then you couldn't get water there

You could always play it now as one spec and then start again when patch comes out as another spec. Also, we don't know where this new zone lands, so it could be after and not change too for you to play it on the same save. A lot of people play the same save as they go.

Supposedly it has to do with the fact that Subnautica was on track to get a massive bonus payout to the studio, so the publisher is trying to sabotage it so they can't release on time. Just saw The Wake of The Water teaser. Lets just say I got goose bumps from it. If it performs as well as it looks, all the other voxel based games may as well close their doors in shame. To see water look like that in a voxel based game is spectacular.

I'm hoping they distribute the water across the world instead of making it biome specific. Like the swampy area should definitely be the main "water biome" but it shouldn't be the only place where water is present. It's one of the things that annoys me about survival games they gate mechanics to biomes, usually a single one instead of integrating them into the wider world. Like temperature and the glider updrafts.
