any gold chest in the kindlewastes, I think it has to be at least level 23? or nearly any chest.
I know two spots.

1. is there's a hole in the ground near the kindlewastes tower with a chest in it, and 2. theres a gold chest on a roof in east lapis.

I have both locations setup as farming spots in #1374193432913903796 as well as the armor in a chest in the back.

That's a known bug. It shows everything possible in the loot table, in that case fur and meat, but the animal only actually dropped the fur

Outdated PCs/laptops are great for that, a dedicated server needs next to nothing in terms of specs

Really not much. The PC doesn't have to work very hard to run a dedicated, and technically once it's set up it doesn't even need a monitor

Moreover you could set it up with a remote desktop app so you can still use it and just leave it running in the closet or something

Is it normal to constantly lag slightly? I play on the Rog Ally X which can run most graphically taxing games, but enshrouded seems to always have a slight studder on ultra performance

I mean, if you're running on a PC handheld on max settings and only getting a 'slight stutter' that's already pretty fantastic

But yeah, Enshrouded is pretty demanding, in particular because it uses a lot of lighting, fog, and dynamic shadows, which always generate lag

Honestly stuttering/performance issue in this game on handhelds is pretty much expected, technically speaking the Z1 Extreme is slightly below the min GPU requirements as that is a GTX 1060, and the Z1 Extreme is slightly slower than that card

In that case turn down volumetric fog, that's probably the culprit. Also turning shadows down is something that helps without being very noticeable

Yeah, wands seem problematic in general. So little damage, so short range, and such weird targeting behavior.

Welp. I've gone from being cautiously optimistic about this game, to absolutely loathing it, and it's entirely because of red mycellum, and the fact that the map doesn't show where it is. So if it wasn't tedious enough to be blindly trudging through the fog, I can't even rely on my map to navigate, because it doesn't show where the big red impassable death rivers are.

Well is relative. From what I've heard it averages around 20-30 FPS with the settings down, not great for exploring and fighting, but if you have a dual deck/PC setup it can be good for building. That said there are some people who play exclusively on deck, just don't expect blazing framerates

Solar winds. I run a nonprofit YouTube channel for science fun. I have permission from NASA to run software from them on my computer, so I can see it the same time they do.

Been doing it about 8 years.

The impacts, solar drag on satellites, geomagnetic storm potential, aurora visibility, and likely ISS precaution awareness.

In 2022, about 24 satellites in Starlink burned up in a solar storm, due to not being ready, so these things are important to track.

Nothing for ground level to be concerned, as we have the magnetosphere, which keeps us safe.

Oh, just because I said that, I should say, if we hit high G2 to G3 levels, reconsider high altitude flight travel, depending on location, as the plasma is absorbed into our atmosphere, and can cause radiation exposure for those at extreme high altitude flights.

I've known people who have gotten stuck on amtrak (our countries cross-country train) with delays measured in DAYS, and our car traffic (the only way we can realistically travel) is so bad here that it's not uncommon to get stuck for hours in the drivers seat for trips that should have taken like 30 minutes, so the delays Germans complain about don't seem that bad to me lol

When I lived in Houston, I once drove a distance of 4 miles/6Km, and I was stuck in traffic for over 90 minutes. So having to wait at a train station for an extra 30 minutes on my phone sounds cozy in comparison

The thing to understand about public transit is that, when it's done right, it's generally way faster. When I was in Berlin it was over 90 minutes by car to commute to where I was working, but only 45 minutes by train

American public transit is just so bad that it's always painfully slow, they always prioritize cars over public transit here

Like where I live we have busses, but they don't get any dedicated bus lanes, so they're forced to get stuck in traffic with everyone else, and they're ordered to drive painfully slow for some reason. When I rode the busses in Germany those drivers were practically tokyo drifting those things and they always had dedicated bus lanes they could use all over the city.
