I kinda notice something about enemy weakness, There's probably more info on wiki or something but I want to try learning the game without wiki. So from my observation. Animal/Plant enemies are weak to fire ( maybe because animal afraid of fire and fire burn plants? ) but they resist to ice damage because they have thick fur or something. While Human enemies are weak to ice but resist to fire. I'm only in the beginning part so I might be wrong. Just like to share what I observed . Also Hollow ( skeleton) enemies are weak to blunt damage because you can't cut the bone but you could break them easier with blunt force?

Best way is to use the terrain tools on the construction hammer, but I've always found that it still ends up a bit jagged.

You can use the foundation, but there are also terrain tools you can use. There's a large cube, a large square "floor" and the back of the ramps can be used to cut straight vertical lines. But the ground has inherent "roughness" that you're never going to be fully able to smooth out.

I feel not really, being honest here.
It all comes down to just prepare for this case, I've got a caster backed up who specifically only uses Shroud / Fire spells and you might just consider getting perks like those that give back Shroud time, also... There's specifically a gem for it to be used which procs Shroud time back.

I mean, for me it wouldn't just have an impact... and people would need to decide what time is appropiate.
I think 2 hours is just "fine", others will not even say 30 minutes is fine lol.

I love the shroud! So many cool enemies and places to discover and the mats! Can't build the nice armor and such without them. The time principle is awesome, I think. I buff up as much as I can and search for those little pockets where the shroud is thin and I can reset the timer. Yeah, the shroud is the thing for sure!

nothing really bad dropped Mum off for MRI scan she's been treated for bladder cancer and CT scan can't see anymore which is good , and wife pulled tendons in her wrist when she stretched to stop a heavy door from closing ,she went for CT scan today, July last year most of this happened , been a long 12 months but might be at end of the tunnel now, should get MRI results in August 😄

Though we already got those and I think some of them to have patrolling at nights or bosses too would also help to shake up the boredom

I can easily see a Fell monstrosity take a lil night walk on the streets.

it's more about "wtf" effect while you just walking around and not expecting to see something. Also maybe more dangerous night wil be cool. For now it's doesn't feels so that hard. I think the best example of this feeling would be Dying Light one, when the night comes and you afraid to go outside but curiosity telling you to risk.

I am absolutely with u. As long as that means the enemies won't 1 shot or something along those lines, more like "running has become a viable choice" instead of dying because one becomes too bold

but Enshrouded at large wants to be a more accessible survival building game

Dying Light (while being really cool! Although I preferred the first game to the second!) is definitely a much more difficult game than we want Enshrouded to be by default

Yes i agree. Maybe DL not the best explanation. Minecraft is the option - there's "peacfull" nigh mode, which not spawning monsters, but in a same time getting out at night is kinda dangerous. I think some kind of "spice" will be very good in this game. Difficulty level is more about enemy dmg and stuff, but I am talking about general experience.

1. Having more enemies roam around my base at night.
   (I feel I got a spot where no one even dares to spawn)
2. Enemies scale in level up to the player

Yea. But except what all people say, I regulary revisit all biomes and don't mind to fight through to get the stuff (and have a challenge in that).
For example, in Valheim you can still be killed because theres nothing bolstering your stats passively, you just stack more armor to lower the damage. Wolves are still dangerous even in Mistlands armor and that keeps me on my toes. For now I feel all non boss Fell won't really prove challenging anymore by now that I earned my gear, weapons etc.
Highering the sliders only has them tank more hits but not them becoming more cunning. Not to mention that only Albaneve now features "dangerous" enemies.

It's just my opinion. Y'all can ignore me as always. (Exaggeration warning. I know you guys won't talk with me if you won't care.)

The last boss for now is challenging and almost mean (though he got tuned so I feel with the last up, so I give that point) and I'd say hes around a heroic boss in WoW around the difficulty.

For example, fire, frost, blunt, cut, slice, etc. armor could use more use and should at times be needed. Magic overall if done by enemies feels weak, the same goes sadly for almost any range projectile that isn't the lil' jellyfishes that were recently added

My only recipe would be to have some armors have special types of damage they mitigate and higher it from the enemies a little bit overall.
Wards right now feel useless and they mitigate no damage because there is not much to mitigate to begin with

I mean - you can make it actual more depending on surviving mechanics, or add mounts (idk if they are in the game already), or make night invasions (idk neather), or some random event like night ligh beam , which is active only trought this night and can be "special loot or smth", or add mechanics as Hunt Showdown - limited time quest to find and kill boss, and so many other things to keep game alive. Dungeons, roguelite mechanics and etc. I mean - you dont need to overcomplicate the game itself but imho - well balanced mix of rpg, management and survival is why this game become popular on the first place. So why not to give it a bit of longer life "replayability" wiht some generational stuff or grind for those, who likes it.. or whaterever) just dont make it another battle royal pls

1. Yes it has potential. The reason why we discuss.
   We all want it to be the best game it can be.
2. Mount is the glider, regular animals would die in the Shroud, technical advances ain't that far we can only have sticks that shoot fire etc. I think the Scavengers are almost the peak in terms of technology in Embervale yes.
3. More focus in the survival aspect would be appreciated yes. Still though I can see why others wouldn't want such as base invasions so optional or sliders pwease.
4. Dungeons could be more and also more rewarding yes.
5. About the roguelite I am against it, cannot think of a way that wouldn't make us end up broken or too strong. We got the skill tree etc. for such.
6. PvP is almost a no - will not happen thing from what I grasped.
7. Procedural generation could only work "offmap" in regions or on isles I think.

Yeah, Holistic is a brand new engine built by Keen since other engines wouldn't allow them to do what they wanted. It was built from the ground up and Enshrouded is the first game built in the engine. Mods would require either direct edits to files (which is hard) or specific hooks from the devs. They are planning to implement those tools but for now are focused on getting to 1.0

They seem to have already learned their lesson in regards to the way they're marketing that game, No Man Sky's biggest issue was the developers making a lot of "maybe" promises before launch, which players saw and took as "definitely" promises and got unbelievably hyped for a game that never was going to happen

The devs had a tendency to say "yeah that would be cool" to a lot of ideas that were super ambitious, and 90% of those ideas ended up not being feasible and never happened haha

The flame is a core mechanic in the game. You're flameborn and throughout the game you're working to rekindle your flame to be stronger. It allows you to survive in higher level shrouds and increases all of your base stats

Pretty much the things already suggested, unique movesets per weapon types, more attack types, more active/impact skills (not just changes in numbes damage received/done) more enemy types so you don't fight reskins for most of the game etc.

I feel the game could use more caster that hurl bigger magical missiles but these fly slower and explode in an area of effect.

Right now the only enemies trying to make u move around for fighting are the Scavengers with the explosive throwers

And being honest I feel the magic missile from the hollow mages has too long of an setup for not enough to happen.

Banshees I feel are too weak for them using basically death magic, 3 missile hits should be lethal, means 1 1/2 cast if taken face

Problem is that I feel the jellyfishes do their job great. They add a strategic layer and make you think before running in.
Especially as melee. While as range you take them out before they can be a threat to begin with. 🤔
