Howdy All, my friend and I just started a new playthrough of enshrouded after being away from the game for a long while. we placed our initial flame alters and gathered the blacksmith, everything appeared normal until we each tried to place a blacksmith at our respective bases. The blacksmith kept getting yoinked over to the most recently placed location. While trying to get this sorted out, thinking maybe the problem was that both our alters had the same name id, we tried renaming our alters. neither would allow text input but did accept pasting from clipboard. Anyone else seeing this behavior?

It will vary based on several factors - type of soil, type of plant, your grow time settings in menu....

Fertalised soil is probably your best all around option for plantings.

there are "assistant" npcs now. The crafting npc have an "assistant", which is essentially just another npc that does the same thing. This allows you to have a blacksmith or farmer etc.... at a 2nd location.

The last time I played Enshrouded was in December. I made it back to the desert / kindlewastes and I can still hear the EXTREMELY annoying mooing / moaning ambient sound. It's so obnoxious because it gets played at different sound levels from low to VERY loud, which makes you think it's a creature causing it. I spent over an hour searching for something to MURDER so this noise would stop. It also took forever climbing a tall desert plateau where I was going to build a base. There's no way I can ever live in the desert with this crazy annoying noise playing all the time.

The devs really, really need to FIX this and patch out that noise.

Are the ambient sounds for the desert all on one soundtrack or does the game use multiple sound files? I would love to be able to find that POS mooing / moaning sound file and replace it with something else.

It does run on an HDD, but in its current state its not recommendet to use one, due to its speed limits. they are trying to get this sorted to get on more comfortable levels for HDD users - but as a personal tip:
The Games commin out from here on out will in nearly most cases demand an SDD harddrive, so tryin to get your hands on one for future endavours will benefit you in multiple ways.

First, it's EA, if it will run or requirements for having it run properly can change on a dime.
Second, even a quick research about a "Voxel Game" will tell that those types of games are in the higher category of "a demanding game".
Third, why do people think a game with graphics that good would run on PCs that are easily 5+ years old.
Fourth, it's a inhousemade engine made from scrap.

Yes, which is perfectly fine, but everything in the game is shared between the players, no individual player has their own 'stuff' except what is in their own inventories. So loot dropped is distributed at player discretion, there are no locks on chest, no restricting who gets what loot, literally everything is shared.

And options like giving no access to inventories, was introduced to servers to help prevent people joining an open dedicated and destroying/stealing everything.

Shaders are a one time thing - think of it as a little secondary game install. ONce its done its done and you wont have to do it again (until next patch).

alright well let me clear that up once again: shader compiling happens locally, and has nothing to do with ur internet connection^^

It should only happen the first time you launch post-update. IF it conitnues to compile every launch disable your shader cache in Steam settings.

Shder compiling has occured for the last few updates afaik.
