Right now Yaks have an issue with their rather large hitbox and their behavior. They can sometimes phase through walls or fences or get stuck in areas. Check around their enclosure - it's possible they are wandering around or stuck between/behind walls.

I looked around and it just seems to be gone. I also thought it was possible that I had a empty pocket somewhere underneath since I'd built up using dirt to make the landscape the shape i wanted so I dug through to see and no dice

Roofs are really hard. Try working with a smaller roof, first, and adjust the overhang. Use undo to remove it, if it places wrong. It's definitely a knack to be learned.

Also, try turning off snap... roofing snap can be the enemy sometimes

You gotta keep in mind climbing the sides of random mountains isn't intended even though its possible its going to take more work. The paths take you just about everywhere sometimes its just a matter of finding the right direction.

Exploring is a big part of the game because once you know the way there is no further sense of discovery.

Nothing wrong with taking a short cut, I try it and do it too sometimes but there are often other hidden little things to find along the way like quests, chests, etc that the main questline isn't sending you on.

It can be easy to miss a side road too, I've passed a few a time or two trying to find my way places.

Enshrouded is currently the only game where my "Nvidia RTX 4070 with 32 Gb VRam" runs at 97-99% GPU utilization at 67° - 71°.

Is that ok?

Settings are optimized via the Nvidia panel, just like with every game I play.
Ikarus, Sons of the Forest, etc. don't even begin to put a strain on my GPU.

Unfortunately I have no idea about the whole thing, so I would be happy if someone could say something informative about it.

Even a 4090 i'd expect to be using more than that. If that's the case, they're possibly being throttled somewhere.

People tend to spec monitor too much. If you have software for your card you should have built in temp alarms to warn you if the card is getting too hot. Honestly better to check out a post game report than to watch the numbers in real time

And otherwise, as long as things are running fine just let it do what it does and enjoy the game. Honestly even if it is running in the upper percentages, you'd have to run it that way 24/7 for months to cause any harm to it

No, not when changing weapons. I had this problem once, but it has been fixed since the last updates. It just happens so unexpectedly as I walk through the world. So far it has not occurred in any specific situation.

If it was occuring before the last patch, it was probably an issue that arrived in the last update. The game runs really smooth for the most part, so if there are freezes, there's probably a reason for them ^^

But if you're not currently experiencing them, then that's good.

Yes. 👍🏼 As I said, they come unexpectedly. Meanwhile, the GPU's performance drops completely to zero, as if it were rebooting. In the past it was often associated with changing weapons or jumping into gliding, but now this is no longer the case and is completely unexpected. I think it's related to loading the world, because it only happens while you're out in the world. I have died many times because of this, for example by falling from a mountain. 👋😄

You can, I have one (possibly 2 this go) as a main. As you go you will have more access to shrines (base waypoint) and you can use them here and there at points you need to travel to often, or as a place to travel to quickly get to somewhere else. The shrines only cost a few rocks to build and you can pick them up when you're done with them

I recommend you to play Singleplayer first, before you throw yourself into a Multiplayer Server. Else you'd lose out on Storybeats/Progression curves eventually.

Technically yes, if you've only watched 5 minutes, it just doesn't count for anything. You need at least 15 minutes or it doesn't start the counter. You also have to have the volume on (you can mute the tab but not the actual stream, and you can only have it as one of two tabs or the third or more tabs take over the active status.

The recipe should unlock when you complete the tapestry. It's made in the Laboratory, not the alchemical station - Not sure if that's the one you were checking cause you called it the alchemy lab, so just making sure

I personally think the game is fun solo, especially if playing solo is something you enjoy (I tend to run around in circles, lose steam and eventually interest when I play on my own, unless I'm being pulled along strongly by the plot)

but I think it really shines when you can at least occasionally invite a friend along, if only to show them all the stuff you've been up to, and the things you've built

the nice thing with Enshrouded is that you can have a solo world, and when you want to invite someone, just switch over to hosting and have them come along

not that it's unique in doing that, but it's better than say having to have a Minecraft server

if you do enjoy exploration in a game, I think our world is well-crafted and you can tell our level designers had a great deal of fun in creating the world. It's laden with easter eggs and little surprises

I don't know about the games relationship to time in this world, but I would estimate the technology to be somewhere around the middle ages - in which case there was no water in toilets at that time. People either did their business in an outhouse, which was basically a hole in the ground, or what was called a garderobe, which basically dumped out directly on to the street.
