I found an interesting bug. Wanted to move an NPC so i selected my summoning wand picked the new trader NPC and moved them. Then i quickly swapped to my build hammer and pressed TAB to build and my hammer turned into summoning staff (it stayed that way even after reloading) 😄

Thanks, but for some reason, even after watching the video I have an issue: When I disable cloud saving. I lose my character. I have to create a new character and only then I can see created world. With Cloudsaving on I can see my character and old worlds (i created 10 of them and then deleted one to make space) but not the created one!

What is the deal with NPCs sleeping on the floor in the middle of the day and they have beds

I was wondering this, heard a new update caused this but others also said, spawn the npc by their bed and then increase the roam range. The npc were probably spawned where they cant reach the bed due to their current roam range

Enshrouded on Linux runs perfect! My test: Running from the first shrine to the first well and cleared the miasma root. I had the game on max quality. There was no difference from windows to linux for me

question, back at the end of november early december I had 2 characters at level 35, I also had a public world in my world list that I could log into and get a bunch resources if I wanted.

after POE 2 launched I took a break from Enshrouded and I was looking to get back into it with this recent update and now one of my characters is completely gone and along with the public world and I believe another world that I also made.

It's an issue that appeared with the last update, they know about it and are working on it. There's no current concrete work around, some have had success with lowering texture resolution but it's in the devs hands at the moment. And Enshrouded already uses RT esque rendering based on my testing. So it would be a technological improvement that benefits everyone.

And while it says RTX in the name it isn't Nvidia Ray Tracing exclusive...

It would also work for games like Teardown that have their own implementation of Ray Tracing effects that run on GPUs not advertised for Ray Tracing and are really old at this point.

So in the end it would fall under the roadmap point of performance optimization...

But a lot of the light effects show the typical signs of being Ray Traced probably with an in-house implementation of RT that runs on the software level instead of using specialized RT cores (which would make the game only run on cards with Hardware RT acceleration) but what I understand about the new technology is that it is an API change that is coming to Vulkan and probably also DirectX that can help make any implementation of RT more performant. That's why I thought it would be interesting to pick some developers'brains about optimizations like that. (Since as a general Software dev I find tech like that very interesting.)

Essentially when I say RTesque I mean it in the sense that it does work like RT lighting of sorts but isn't bound by Hardware RT implementations or pre-existing RT APIs.

Grab a pair of daggers and grab power parry from the middle of the tree. It makes them a lot easier to handle. Just watch for the little flash as they swing to time your block

No, nothing inside a build area changes... which is some of the issues people have with POI's

Changes won't happen inside an altar, and that's part of the problem. If they add a quest you can't do it, and they might also change the surrounding area as well. Best to either build in springlands, make a floating platform, or commit to the idea that you might have to rebuild at some point. One of those

There is a visual queue when you can immediately trigger a parry by using your shield bind

It typically is most visible on the first swing of an enemy but can be seen during combinations ( much faster and harder to time)

The actual weapon will "flash"

The npcs tell me they don't have a bed, when everyone has an assigned bed. It doesn't matter what I equip, a pickaxe, a wand... I always see the same sword, the glider is always visible, that and much more since the last patch, I have updated drivers and reinstalled the game

You may want to try putting them on your toolbar and selecting them. I know it's an odd one, but they added that as a kind of backup for completing one of the quests, so maybe it checks something when in your toolbar.

Other than that, it's possible you have to do a quest too. It's been an age since I got the well.

Whenever I find a plot of relatively flat land in a relatively clear area, there’s usually a village there already.

Am I underestimating the amount of terraforming I should do for these types of projects?

With the availability of terraforming, you can build almost anywhere. Of course, all flat lands that you find pre built POI's... were probably terraformed (In a real life scenario) So of course they'd look appealing, because they're 'easier' than having to do the terraforming yourself ^^

Craftspeople and Assistants require the Summoning Staff but all of them can be changed through that

Because at a certain point — just a bit further, I believe — you get XP scrolls randomly spawning, and you can use the cheat engine table to dupe those.
Then make your new character, transfer your stuff, and use the xp scrolls to catch up.

No the enhancements are pretty much the same, it just has more if it's gold over purple, or more if it's purple over green. It's upgrade amount not changes to the perks
