set yourself an automatic restart, as i remember Gportal lets you do it by hand. It will dump the cache and such. It's good to do that at night or in the time when no one is playing, an optional solution, but it will allow you to maintain stability and avoid memory leaks and loops.

I feel like the whole build-survival genre has really picked up in the past year or two.

Ark: Survival Ascended has come out and the Extinction map is releasing in December. We also have the Mountain Update for Enshrouded coming out. Dune: Awakening is coming out next year, and Funcom at least has a history of making fun games (along with a really good build system for Conan). Palworld continues to expand bit by bit, and even if you think games like Nightingale are mediocre and bland, it still adds more content to the genre. There's also still older games like Minecraft, Conan Exiles, and Space Engineers.

Enshrouded is probably the most unique of the bunch though.

Official settings for taming creatures were insane, where you'd spend 12 hours taming a single creature, and the building system was actively antagonistic to players.

Yep, then they added a bunch of creatures that aren't knockout tames. The standard "passive tames" are annoying but straightforward. Walk up to them and feed them kibble without them running or going aggro on you. Gigantoraptor you have to lead the parent away with an egg and then do dances for it. Then of course there's the Basilisk where you have to try to not get killed while dropping rock drake eggs on the ground.

Just hit up the same couple of chests several times and you should find something decent. I think the Fell Wyvern also drops an OK-ish ring.

They also added a Western style kit with Scorched Earth, and we should be getting something else when Extinction comes out.

...and it's a cosmetic skin, so you can create a tek base and then turn it into an "Old Western" style saloon, or a Steampunk castle.

The cosmetic skin doesn't get "used up" so you can just cover up all of the building pieces with various cosmetic substitutes, that have the same health/everything-else as the base building piece.

You solve it with BODMAS/PEMDAS, so you do parentheses then look for exponents, then multiplication/division which are done in the order that they appear (people forget that) and finally you look for addition and then subtraction.

This problem is perfectly optimized to be "technically correct" by modern standards while being written in an incredibly strange way that conflicts with the historical way this method was taught. I guess before common core a lot of teachers were still using the older method and it was such a minor difference that it wasn't rectified, or something? There are a lot of people in the comments confirming that they were taught the same way as me, including people with mathematician degrees lol

So, it's hard to say if you will enjoy Valheim or not because you like Enshrouded. The questing adds a lot to Enshrouded that is missing from the Valheim experience

Enshrouded definitely took the great aspects of Valheim and really made them their own. I don't like game tribalism pitting them against one another because I think more games = better games generally speaking, but as an avid survival crafter who got into the genre thanks to Valheim I do have to say I have little urge to play Valheim now that Enshrouded exists.

Like I said, Valheim was my main game before Enshrouded. I have played Valheim since the first few months of release of EA. I love it and went back to play Ashlands when that came out, but that said, Valheim is missing something that draws me to Enshrouded. The NPCs, the questing and giving me actual reasons to move about, a lot deeper lore. Don't get me wrong, still really like Valheim, but Enshrouded just pulled me in and didn't let me go.

I have 970 hours in Valheim after these last few years, so you know I liked it. I have over 500 hours in Enshrouded including Alpha, Beta, and that demo they released for a while.

At first it gives you the +30% to all damage for 5 minutes, but after the buff expires it gives you the Elixir Withdrawal debuff that decreases your damage by 30% for 10 minutes

Drinking another Elixir will give you the buff again and remove the withdrawal, but if you've taken it while the withdrawal debuff is active then the damage buff is decreased by 5% for every time you've done so successively, and withdrawal decreases your damage by another 5% and lasts 5 more minutes for every time you drink an Elixir to get rid of the withdrawal debuff-the damage buff is floored at 0% but withdrawal only stops at 100% and the time doesn't have a max

When you've played this much, any game will likely feel pretty easy. Even souls games get easy when you've got a ton of hours in them.

Every Power has it's ups and downs.
Flying? What if you fall but can't stop the fall or something rams into you. You can fly, you got not more durability or strength. Not to forget it's cold above us.
Invisibility would have been the up that no one knows when you do listen. But also have people constantly bumping into you and you'd never know where your limbs are right now.
Super Speed means super dangerous in these times. People won't see you coming sometimes and thus you'd crash into them. Again the point of no enhanced durability.
Super strength would mean loss in control on what you accidently do smash, not to say you outright murdering someone if you get angry.
Mind reading would give you too much information about everything and perhaps leave you depressed. You could find out you have no true friends etc.
Teleportation clearly is the winner for me. If planned accordingly.

Honestly what you need to worry about when writing anything is the suspension of disbelief. Space ships like you see in almost any sci fi setting straight up would not function but everyone just accepts it because we're already used to accepting that. You can get away with pretty much anything you want as long as you do the work to make the rest of the story make sense around the fantastical stuff.
