This not being a PvP Game would make it hard to use it properly (needing an enemy target from what we saw), also the possibilities to grief and or Troll would make that really an upsetting tool. Also the occassionally happening "I wanted to loot stuff", while dragging your friend through 3 walls.

i was more thinking you could have them go into a blocking state and when you grappled, it would zip you toward them. then someone could have a skill like double jump to get places and they could become an ancor for their friends. maybe even swing to find special places

You know what might solve it is having three slot-able attack skills. Each keyed to one of the main attack buttons. You could swap them out with a block or fire attack or heal, heavy attack light or dodge. Is every build necessary to dodge or block? Would you trade one for something else if you could?

I would say dodge is, but for different reasons, definately not block, parry is in the middle. Part of the reason I think there should more dodge variants, with different attributes fitting difrerent playstyles, the other reason being everyone wants blink so give alternative choices for the aforementioned reasons.

What if we started with certain skills like dodge and block and could learn more via combat trainer we have to find and wake up. They would show us how to upgrade them to shield bash or dash or a real teleport

like if im a tank I'm likely parrying or blocking, so I really need a movement to engage or break through enemies to grab agro on one or something, and thats what tackle is for. That role doesnt need to dodge attacks per se.

I play elite dangerous in vr with an Xbox controller. It's doable but not a joy

I would use voice attack but I have a mild speech impediment so voice commands are iffy

I prefer timing mechanics. For instance if you just pressed a light attack, and then long press a heavy attack, it does something different than if you had long pressed an attack.

It's a lot for them to program, especially with each type of weapon and is compounded if they want to add additional weapon types like a spear or whip

I do think they need more medium range weapons

But I also think it is peak game design

I think you would codify the attacks, then call them upon button input. a json object might look like this for example

they stop playing because of no chat box. so it doesn't really bother me at all even though they're deaf so we all went into streamer chat or discord chat to figure it out. so they just quit cuz of no chatbox lmfao i don't blame them but they played other games THAT DOESN'T HAVE CHAT BOX...

I activated the option where ennemies does not attack you if you ont attack them first, and I had a lil party in the big tree with the vukahs, I teached them how to play guitar 😉

And lots of good things to read.

It's just that I'm to focus on other stuff, artistic when it's not job. So reading is not a habit.
