Hmm... yeah, that's the same issue others are getting and changing the download region to US fixed it for them. Don't know why it didn't work for you, but that's a Steam issue, not a game issue.

Unfortunately that isn't always an indicator of functionality. Other games may have different ways of connecting that aren't the same as the way Enshrouded connects, so it doesn't necessarily transfer. Did you both try changing your download region or just one of you? Is it a dedicated server or are you trying to connect to a locally hosted game?

The less confusing option would have been to go with cohesiveness instead of "Easy/Hard" regardless of which way the numbers go

For example:
Monster HP - Far Left, Low; Far Right, High
Player HP - Far Left, Low; Far Right, High
Day/Night - Far Left, Short; Far Right, Long
Craft Time - Far Left, Short; Far Right, Long

People will know what is harder or easier just by looking at it. Obviously more mob HP is harder and less player HP is harder.

It also removes the subjectivity of "Easy/Hard". Who's to say a Longer Day/Night cycle is easier or harder? It depends on what you're trying to do and how you like to play. Both day and night offer benefits and drawbacks.

I'd say you assume too much of people. Never expect people to not get confused no matter what way you do something.

True that some people will almost always get confused about things, but it's less confusing when you have all slider bars move the numbers in the same direction.

Think of it this way. When you adjust the settings on your TV/monitor, you don't have an arbitrary "Better/Worse" viewing experience scale. It's just Less->More for things like brightness, contrast, color, gamma, etc. You understand that relatively quickly and make adjustments for the viewing experience you want, regardless of how the manufacturer's native settings are when you take it out of the box.

The npc's sometimes do not give quests until their fellow npc's get their work done. Oftentimes you will finish a quest for one person, come back to base and suddenly two or three others NOW want to talk to you.
Spread the luv. You'll get the quest.
...other times, it may be to locations you unlock in the game. So also, spread the explore. One or the other usually works.

I have been having a lot of issues with disappearing trees when I plant them. They show up as planted then POOF! gone. Trying to plant evergreen trees along my property and out of 12 only 7 stayed. No reason behind one poofing and one staying .. they are not planted to close together. I don't know what to do.

The games still in development, they are constantly adding more to the game which will always entail more strain. Since the recent update we've heard numerous reports about hardware that whilst underspec, was able to play the game until the latest patch and are having the same issues (Not able to play) As you're having with the steamdeck.

You're comparing two things that are not equivalent. There's a difference between synchronizing events between multiple clients and a server so that everything seems to happen simultaneously and streaming video and transmitting commands in one direction from the console to the robot. I am both a gamer and have worked with those types of surgical robots in the past, the constraints are entirely different and 290ms is hardly problematic for uni-directional synchronization, but 150 multiplied by however many clients you have can be horrible.

I object. 290 was a milestone, the last one was severak years ago 150. The reason for this tests is that for the surgeon that latency is really noticeable and results are sometimes unpredictable. One has to take measures to reduce the possible effects

it's not true for all block types either - bricks have the feature regardless, hollow halls are face-dependent.

I found that statement funny from the guy who pulls almost an entire dungeons trash from the first boss into the boss in WoW and expect me, as a mage, to push anything else than defenses, while he has aggro from absolutely zero.

Turned out at least 3 others were on my side that we're not in a heist.

well, you are limited in the number of building areas, they're tied to the flame altars you put down. You can upgrade those altars to make the area pretty damn big, and even combine them for the biggest projects. But it's not free build anywhere, there are no-build zones (the ones you mentioned plus specific other areas)

read: it would overheat or blue screen or something else that is both entertaining and surprising

Ever try playing anything on Asian servers? I played SMT: Imagine Online on a Japanese server for a while and it was surprising how often people would go out of their way to speak kindly or ask questions of me. Maybe the gentlest MMO experience I've had.

I had also heard the Chinese server was similarly pleasant with very few disruptive players (the US servers for SMT:IO were okay when they were still up, not very many rude/dishonest/disruptive players anyway. Maybe an effect of the SMT fanbase?)

The genre used to be super arcady, it was very much videogames with sports as an "aesthetic" a lot of the time. Over time though a lot of them have veered much more in the sim direction, so it's sorta a different genre at this point.
