well i sort of had 2 questions, and without testing myself it's hard to tell. i know that an area resets in 30 minutes. but when you remove a flame altar, it seems that land gets reset from logging out of the game and back into the game (unless you're on a server). it seems like structures do not, so does that mean for structures it will take the full 30 minutes? it's also unclear how far land/structures need to be from the border of the flame altar, is it that anything directly outside resets? or is there some leeway with the distance? if the border even touches a piece that is 99% outside it does that mean that piece won't reset etc.

In my opinion, explosives are useless against any type of ennemies that fits your lvl.

When it comes do dig faster, create a breach or destroy spawners and roots, it's the best tool though

Are magic chests range limited? I always was under the impression that you could access them everywhere as long as they are within the range of the same flame altar? I made a new storage at one end of the altar zone, while some tools at the other end of the altar zone and i cant access the materials from these magic chests. When I place them closer it works. If the chests are somewhere in the middle (near the flame for example.) Then yes, they should near enough reach the entire area of the flame. But the range does not reach from one side of the build area to the other.

So the question is then what is balancing explosive arrow?
The only thing really is its crafting cost, which I think is justified. (though 7 nitrate for black powder is crazy)
I would increase the damage but give it a cast time and reduced missile speed (which translates to range) both of which would inherently scale with dex

and remove the aoe procs for the aoe skill in the skilltree, which is silly

Wand casts its own magic. Staff uses spell charges. Can't cast with bare hands except for one of the skills in the Trickster tree.

And there's an upgrade skill to blink that makes it do damage when you blink into enemies.

Like actually way too short to even justify using it

Absolutely cannot speak for the studios plans but from my experience in gaming (10+ years) support never stops until the Daily Active Users drops below a certain point that no longer makes financial sense. For reference, EA just stopped running servers for Sim City which was released in 2013. So it's not something we need to even remotely worry about (imho).

The roadmap does not have base raids on it at this time. World events are in the planning, but raids are not listed. We will all have to wait and see.

On a side note, base raids are both wanted and not wanted by people. Some would prefer not (I count myself in this group) and some would love for base raids. It will probably be some time before they can work out something that will satisfy both groups (if they decide to go with it).

The possibility is there, the biggest factor comes down to how they implement it within their custom built engine and the time it would take to do so with what they've already got going on. Pure speculation but i think if they do add base raids, it'll be after the 1.0 release.

Vote for it on the site. That is the best we can give you for now. Right now I think it's great for them to finish what is already promised (which is A LOT of coding). I'm sure they will look into more features as they get closer to completing their other priorities.

As a supporter of base raids myself, I agree with Killercod. Theres a lot that goes into doing raids right that you might not think about right away. It's not just triggering them and having monsters spawn and run up to you, which is already complex to do well. You have to think about how raids are messaged to the player, what sort of actions the mobs will take, how players can prepare for raids, and so much more.

Just slapping them in wouldnt do the mechanic justice, so when you look at it holistically its really like 5 systems in a trenchcoat. If any of them arent right, the whole thing will feel mediocre at best.

It's a BIG feature and as much as I want it, things like expanding the playable area feel like a much more important priority.

According to the last AMA, a biome may come soon - and with that, an expansion to the skill tree and thus levels.
It depends on how much of the map they want to fill or can, because all of that needs to be placed by hand.

the lightly armored ones (like armored skirt only etc) are shroud troopers

well, so far the shroud seems like it doesnt like sunlight a tall, im guessing the shroud we see is in fact a defense measure, saturating the air with spores to protect the fungus from sunlight

so theoretically dispersing the shroud cloud for long enough could cause the sun to burn out the fungus on its own

im not sure if its the UV or if its the temperature that damages the mycelium though

Technically the dungeon gives you a flame altar upgrade, that stops the shroud from killing you in an area you need to cross to get to the desert.
