It's just that the last 2 are pollaxes.

If you'd wish to give the last one a different name, the correct one would be "bec de faucon/falcon's beak" but you would have to give it to the third one aswell

(that's if you care about historical terms)

Bec de corbin is "the crows beak", poleaxes are as far as i know only have an axe and hammer head, halberds are axe and spike, and bec de corbins have a long spike and hammer, though i could be very likely wrong

You're wrong and historically bec de corbin name was so so rare, however bec de faucon was way more present (whenever they did name it after the beak)

Pollaxes come with all kind of different tools on the croix. That is to say a dagger and then axe head, hammer, beak in all config possible. But that still make them pollaxes

Bossks argument in this matter usually seems to be that we ought to only call these things what the ancients would have called them, in which case we would have to dispense with all kinds of useful terms in the study of these artifacts. For my part, i think that for some measure it is important to recognize the difference in how we model these arms and their identity and how the ancients had done. with that said, bossks case would do away with precise typologies in favor of the kind of lumping language that the medieval writers seemed fond of, and i think thats just clearly the wrong move from a scholastic perspective.

At any rate, dont let him get to you, he just likes to throw his weight around because he feels like an expert in these matters. Ultimately, you can call the tool whatever you like and theres not much he can do about it.
